Genuine internal Hungarian split: Catholic popular piety venerates canonized szentek and requests their intercession; the Hungarian Reformed tradition historically and explicitly rejected saint veneration as part of the Reformation protest and generally does not practice it today. Romans 1:7’s corporate ‘szentek’ (all believers) note is especially important for Catholic-background readers.
