HIGH RISK: Dutch has a three-way register split. ‘Verlossing’ (deliverance) is common modern usage; ‘behoud’ (being kept safe) is the register preferred in orthodox Reformed (‘bevindelijk gereformeerd’) circles; ‘zaligheid’ is older, devotional, Statenvertaling-era vocabulary that can read as old-fashioned to secular or younger readers. This curriculum uses ‘behoud’ as the primary doctrinal term but flags all three for context-sensitive review.
