Holy Spirit
CRITICAL: থাওয়াই অসেংবা must always be used in full. Bare থাওয়াই names the general category of spirit/soul in Meitei belief, which in Sanamahi religious practice extends to ancestral spirits (Apokpa) and the Umang Lai nature-deities honored at Lai Haraoba; the personal, singular, indwelling Holy Spirit of Romans 8 must be sharply distinguished from that populated spirit-world.
