নুংঙাইবগী পাউ (‘joyful/good news’) is a plain descriptive rendering. Must be distinguished from general festival announcements, particularly during the Vaishnava festival calendar (e.g. Ras Lila performances, Krishna Janmashtami), which also carry celebratory ‘good news’ framing of a different kind.
