Established Bengali Christian term (“good news”). ইঞ্জিল is the Qur’anic/Muslim-idiom term for a presumed lost scripture given to Isa; it does not denote the apostolic proclamation of Christ crucified and risen, so it is rejected for this curriculum’s mainstream Christian register.
