CRITICAL: Orthodox Palamite theology understands grace as uncreated divine energies in which the believer really participates toward theosis, distinct from both a Catholic created-and-infused-through-merit reading and a purely forensic Protestant favor-only reading. Romans’ unmerited-favor argument (4:4-5; 11:5-6) must be preserved without flattening this participatory Orthodox dimension entirely.
