Incarnation

Orthodox theology strongly emphasizes the incarnation as the basis for theosis and human deification (following Athanasius). This curriculum must ensure Romans’ own primary emphasis — the incarnation qualifying Christ as kinsman-redeemer and inaugurating justification — is not lost beneath the theosis framing Orthodox readers will naturally supply.
