CRITICAL: NEVER use การอวตาร (avatar). Thai popular religion, through its Brahmanic-Hindu layer (the Ramakien epic, the royal title ‘Rama’ used by the Thai monarchy, and the popular cult of Vishnu’s avatars), makes ‘avatar’ the single most natural-sounding but doctrinally false rendering available. การทรงบังเกิดเป็นมนุษย์ = the eternal Son permanently taking on a single human nature, once, not a temporary divine descent that could recur.
