Power Of God

Unlike Hindi, Assamese শক্তি does not carry as dominant a personified-goddess (Shakti-worship) association in ordinary register and is the natural, unavoidable word for ‘power’ in Assamese theological usage; still, always pair with ঈশ্বৰৰ (of God) to anchor it to God’s own power rather than an impersonal cosmic force.
