Distinctly for Kurdish, the minority but culturally significant Yazidi faith holds an actual doctrine of reincarnation (‘kiras guhertin,’ changing shirts/garments, describing the soul’s transmigration through successive bodies) - a genuinely separate risk of conflation with reincarnation, arising from an indigenous Kurdish religious tradition rather than from Islam.
