This risk is concretely local in Goa, not abstract: Goan Hindu temple tradition venerates Mahalasa Narayani, worshipped at the Mardol temple as an avatar of Vishnu (in the Mohini story), alongside Shantadurga and Mangueshi — avatar-descent is a lived, temple-anchored devotional reality here, not distant background. देहधारण must be explicitly distinguished as the eternal Son’s unique, permanent taking of human nature, never one more temple-linked avatar story.
