Son Of God
CRITICAL: Full phrase required, never softened. Some Bible translation efforts targeting Muslim-majority audiences elsewhere in the world have proposed avoiding ‘Son of God’ language altogether in favor of softer alternatives like ‘God’s beloved’ or ‘God’s representative,’ a practice that provoked a major, well-documented global evangelical controversy (the 2011-2013 ‘Son of God’ translation debate) precisely because it removes doctrinal content to reduce offense. This Language Package explicitly forbids that approach: Anak Allah must be used and taught, not replaced.
