İman is shared with Islamic vocabulary, where in Shia usage it includes assent to the Imamate alongside the standard pillars. Romans’ iman is personal trust in İsa Məsih specifically; etiqad reads more as intellectual assent to a creed than relational trust, and should not substitute for the personal-trust sense.
