CRITICAL: Greek uses the identical word for the adjective ‘holy’ and the title ‘Saint,’ tied to the deeply embedded cultural practice of name days (ονομαστική εορτή). There is no lexical way to avoid this identity; the explanatory note distinguishing Romans 1:7’s corporate sense from canonized sainthood is the only available tool.
