Romans 8:26-27, 34 describe the Spirit and Christ interceding directly. Greek Orthodox piety gives the saints’ and especially the Παναγία’s intercession a constant, central liturgical role; this curriculum should not argue against requesting others’ prayers, but must not let intercession default to saintly or Marian mediation as the primary model.
