Must be kept entirely distinct from isangoma (a diviner-medium who consults amadlozi) and inyanga (a traditional herbalist-healer), both active and respected traditional roles whose method of receiving guidance (through ancestral consultation, divination bones, or trance) is categorically different from a biblical prophet receiving God’s word directly.
