CRITICAL: ukunakekela kukaNkulunkulu (‘God’s watchful care’) is preferred to state plainly that uNkulunkulu himself, not amadlozi, is personally and actively involved in believers’ daily lives and circumstances. Traditional Zulu religious structure often understands uNkulunkulu as a distant creator largely uninvolved in daily affairs, with amadlozi as the active, consulted intermediaries who protect and guide the living. Romans 8:28’s confidence that God himself works all things together for good must be stated as directly countering this remote-God structure, not layered on top of it.
