Covenant Conditionality

CRITICAL: God’s warning that continued blessing on Solomon’s dynasty and the temple itself is conditioned on covenant obedience is the narrative’s central theological hinge for everything that follows (the division, both kingdoms’ eventual exile). ‘Pacto’ must never be allowed to drift toward its occult folk-usage (a bargain with a spirit); this is a relational covenant with real, stated consequences.
