Prophet

Peygamber is the standard, shared Islamic-Turkish term for a prophet, which is precisely the risk: it is also exactly the (exclusive) category into which Islamic theology places Jesus himself. When peygamber is used of OT prophets pointing to Christ, ensure surrounding text makes clear their role differs from Jesus’ own identity, which the curriculum will present as more than prophetic.
