Apostle

Elçi (‘one sent’) is the established Turkish Bible term. Guard against collapsing it into resul/peygamber, the Islamic category of a prophet-messenger who receives new revelation for a nation; an apostle is a Spirit-authorized witness to Christ’s resurrection, not a new-scripture-bearing prophet.
