Incarnation
CRITICAL: established Japanese theological term (‘receiving flesh’). NEVER use 化身 (keshin) or 権化 (gonge) — both describe a bodhisattva’s or kami’s provisional, repeatable manifestation in a form to help beings, a concept formalized historically in honji suijaku theology (the medieval Shinto-Buddhist syncretism holding that Japanese kami are local manifestations/traces of Buddhas). The incarnation is the eternal Son permanently and uniquely taking human nature — once, not a repeatable local manifestation.
