Father
God as personal, caring Father. Traditional Japanese family structure (家, ie) emphasizes formal patriarchal authority (家長, kachou) over warmth; additionally, Japan’s modern ‘absent salaryman father’ social trope means many readers, especially secular younger readers, may have a culturally weak or distant personal father-figure association to draw on. Teaching should actively build the relational-intimacy sense (see Abba) rather than assume it.
