The Mosaic Law. NEVER use 法律 (secular/civil law). Be alert to reducing ‘law’ to Japan’s strong social-conformity expectation (‘reading the air,’ 空気を読む, kuuki wo yomu) — God’s law is his moral revelation, not an unwritten social-harmony code.
