Injili is the established Union Version term (from Arabic/Greek euangelion via Injil). Risk: Islamic theology holds that Allah gave Isa (Jesus) a scripture called al-Injil which Muslims believe was subsequently lost or corrupted (the tahrif doctrine); Muslim-background or coastal readers may hear ‘Injili’ through this lens as referring to a superseded or corrupted text rather than the trustworthy canonical Gospel. This must be addressed explicitly, not assumed away.
