Power Of God

In much of African Christianity, the gospel is effectively preached and received as a ‘power encounter’ — Christ’s power over spirits, witchcraft, and misfortune — which is a genuine bridge for Romans 1:16, but this curriculum must guard against reducing ‘power of God for salvation’ to raw supernatural power displays divorced from the moral and relational content of salvation from sin. nguvu za kichawi (witchcraft power) must never be used or implied as an analogy.
