Spiritual Gifts
vipawa vya Roho (‘gifts of the Spirit’) is standard evangelical Swahili usage. uwezo wa kichawi (witchcraft power) must never be used or implied, given the real and active presence of traditional beliefs in witchcraft (uchawi) and traditional healers (waganga) in much of the Swahili-speaking interior. vipaji (natural talents) is too weak, missing the Spirit-given, grace-based origin.
