Salvation

CRITICAL: نجات (deliverance/rescue) is the best-attested general term, but the specific theological content behind it diverges sharply along both audience lines this Language Package addresses. For a Muslim-background reader, mainstream Islamic soteriology holds entry to جنت (paradise) as Allah’s mercy weighed against a person’s deeds, with no atonement framework; Romans’ basis for salvation in Christ’s finished work (10:9-10) must be stated explicitly rather than left to default into a deeds-weighing model. For a Kashmiri Pandit reader shaped by Kashmir Shaivism, salvation-shaped language risks being reheard as پرتیبھِجنا (pratyabhijna), the self-recognition that one’s own consciousness was always already identical with Shiva — an epistemic realization rather than a rescue from real, objective guilt before a personal God distinct from the self. Both must be distinguished explicitly and separately; they are not the same error.
