Colossians polemicizes against exactly this structure: wisdom as attainment-path. Keep ஞானம் but always Christ-anchored in context (“in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom”); never மெய்ஞ்ஞானம், which would read as endorsing the gnosis category. Two opposite errors: (a) letting 2:8 read as a blanket condemnation of all thinking/philosophy, needlessly insulting Tamil intellectual identity and misrepresenting the verse; (b) softening the warning so the specific error (a system that sidelines Christ) escapes.
