This title itself, independent of ‘Son of God’ language, is generally understood by Muslim readers as metaphorical/relational rather than as a literal begetting claim, and carries substantially less of the shirk-collision risk that ‘Son of God’ does; still best introduced with brief relational framing rather than assumed to carry identical connotations to its use in Christian devotional culture generally.
