Prophet

Shared vocabulary with Islamic theology (nabi as a general term for a prophet, distinct from rasul; the Qur’an names many of the same Old Testament figures as prophets). Generally safe, though note that Islamic prophetology holds Muhammad to be the final prophet (khatam an-nabiyyin, Qur’an 33:40, ‘seal of the prophets’) — a claim this curriculum’s material need not directly engage but should be aware of when discussing Old Testament prophetic fulfillment in Christ.
