Intercession
شفاعت is shared vocabulary: Islamic theology has its own doctrine of intercession, chiefly Muhammad’s intercession for his community on the day of judgment. This curriculum must make clear that Christ’s intercession (Romans 8:26, 34) is that of the divine Son and Spirit interceding from a position of finished atoning work, not a prophet’s future intercessory plea at judgment — a genuine but instructive point of contrast rather than a forbidden term.
