Sanctification

‘Posvěcení’ is used in ordinary Czech for the ceremonial blessing/dedication of a building or object (e.g. ‘posvěcení kostela’). Romans’ sense of the Spirit’s ongoing transformative work in a believer’s life is substantially different and unfamiliar, and must be built up rather than assumed from the ceremonial-blessing association.
