Cross-Reference Analysis
Cross-Reference Analysis — Ephesians (Full Book) | English → Fulfulde
Method and Scope
This document catalogs every Old Testament quotation, Old Testament allusion, messianic reference, and typological pattern in Ephesians 1–6, and cross-references each to parallel material in the baseline Romans Language Package (this pipeline’s other completed curriculum for Fulfulde) and, where relevant, to the wider canon. All Scripture citations use a normalizable “Book Chapter:Verse” format (e.g., “Genesis 15:6”, “Galatians 2:16”, “Ephesians 2:8”) suitable for machine cross-referencing across curricula.
Coverage confirmation: All six chapters of Ephesians are represented below. Every chapter contains at least one direct OT quotation, allusion, messianic reference, or typological pattern; none is silently omitted.
Baseline enforcement: Where a cross-referenced passage in Romans already has an enforced Fulfulde rendering in the baseline translation_memory.json, that rendering MUST be reused for any overlapping term encountered here (e.g., Linjiila, jam, peewal, suɓagol, Arjunde, golle, kisal, Ruuhu Ceniiɗo, leƴƴi goo, Israa’iila). New terms required by Ephesians-specific quotations (e.g., Psalm 68:18, Genesis 2:24, Exodus 20:12) are proposed here for the first time in this pipeline and must be recorded in the updated translation_memory.json as new baseline-extending entries.
Section 1 — Direct OT Quotations (Explicit Citation Formula)
| # | Ephesians Passage | OT Source | Theme | Related Character(s) | OT/NT Connection | Translation Sensitivity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ephesians 1:22 | Psalm 8:6 (“he put all things under his feet”) | Deity of Christ / Election and Predestination in Christ | Christ (as the last Adam); David (Psalm 8 author) | Also quoted 1 Corinthians 15:27, Hebrews 2:6-8; a creation psalm about humanity’s dominion (Genesis 1:26-28) reapplied messianically to Christ’s cosmic supremacy | Render “put under his feet” with a natural Fulfulde subjugation idiom (e.g. involving ley koyngal, “under the foot”) that does not evoke a merely political conquest image (relevant to Sokoto Caliphate political memory, per baseline “kingdom_of_god” caution) |
| 2 | Ephesians 2:17 | Isaiah 52:7 (“he preached peace…”) | The Mystery of Christ Revealed / Unity of Jews and Gentiles in One New Humanity | Christ (the herald of peace); Isaiah | Directly parallel to Romans 10:15, which quotes the same verse (“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”). This is the single most important shared-quotation point between the two curricula. | MUST render identically to Romans 10:15’s existing (or future-fixed) rendering, using baseline Linjiila and jam; see Rendering-Consistency Rule 1 below |
| 3 | Ephesians 2:20 (background) | Psalm 118:22 / Isaiah 28:16 (the rejected stone / precious cornerstone) | The Church as the Body of Christ / Messianic Promise | Christ (the cornerstone); the “builders” (Israel’s leaders) | Directly parallel to Romans 9:33, which combines both texts in a single testimonia quotation; also Matthew 21:42, Acts 4:11, 1 Peter 2:6-7 | Fulfulde rendering of “cornerstone” (hayre fuɗnaande) must match any rendering used in Romans 9:33 exactly; see Rendering-Consistency Rule 2 |
| 4 | Ephesians 4:8 | Psalm 68:18 (“When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men”) | Gifts for Building Up the Church / Election and Predestination in Christ | Christ (the ascending, triumphant king); David (Psalm 68 author) | A royal-triumph psalm reapplied to Christ’s ascension and gift-giving to the church; connects to Romans 10:6-7’s use of Deuteronomy 30:12-13’s ascend/descend language in a related Christological argument | New term; render “led captives” carefully to avoid glorifying human warfare/captive-taking as a model — this is Christ’s triumph over hostile spiritual powers (ties to Spiritual Warfare doctrine, ch. 6), not human conquest |
| 5 | Ephesians 4:25 | Zechariah 8:16 (“let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor”) | Walking in Newness of Life / Church as the Body of Christ | — | Zechariah’s exhortation to the restored post-exilic community reapplied to the church as one body | Low sensitivity; standard ethical exhortation, natural fit with Fulfulde community-truthfulness values |
| 6 | Ephesians 4:26 | Psalm 4:4 (LXX) (“Be angry and do not sin”) | Walking in Newness of Life | David (Psalm 4 author) | Direct quotation permitting righteous anger while forbidding sinful anger | Medium sensitivity; must not be read as license for uncontrolled anger, which would conflict with Pulaaku’s munyal (patient self-restraint) value — frame as anger rightly ordered and quickly resolved |
| 7 | Ephesians 5:31 | Genesis 2:24 (“a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh”) | Household Codes and Christ-Centered Relationships | Adam and Eve | Foundational creation-ordinance text, applied typologically to Christ and the church (Ephesians 5:32) | New term/quotation for this pipeline (Romans does not quote Genesis 2:24); this rendering should be treated as the pipeline’s canonical Fulfulde form of this verse and reused in any future curriculum touching marriage; flag for theologian confirmation given the doctrinal weight placed on it in 5:32 |
| 8 | Ephesians 6:2-3 | Exodus 20:12 / Deuteronomy 5:16 (“Honor your father and mother… that it may go well with you and that you may live long”) | Household Codes and Christ-Centered Relationships | Moses (lawgiver); Israel (recipients of the Decalogue) | Direct quotation of the fifth commandment, explicitly called “the first commandment with a promise” | Positive resonance point: aligns naturally with teddungal (Pulaaku honor value) applied to parents; low doctrinal risk, but note the OT covenant-land promise (“live long in the land”) should be taught as a general principle of blessing rather than a literal land-inheritance promise transferred to Gentile readers |
Section 2 — OT Allusions (Non-Formula Echoes)
| # | Ephesians Passage | OT Allusion | Theme | Related Character(s) | OT/NT Connection | Translation Sensitivity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 9 | Ephesians 1:4 | Genesis 1:1 (“before the foundation of the world”) | Election and Predestination in Christ | God (as Creator) | Grounds election in eternity past, prior to and independent of creation itself | Critical: must be taught alongside baseline’s suɓagol/natal distinction — this is personal, pre-temporal, relational choice, not the impersonal fatalism of al-qadar |
| 10 | Ephesians 1:6 | Isaiah 42:1 / Psalm 2:7 (“the Beloved”) | Deity of Christ / Sonship of Christ (baseline) | Christ (the Beloved Son); the Messiah of Isaiah’s Servant Songs | The divine-sonship “Beloved” designation used at Christ’s baptism (Matthew 3:17) and transfiguration, rooted in OT royal/servant sonship language | High: reinforces baseline’s Critical “son_of_god” entry (Ɓiɗɗo Alla); must not be softened |
| 11 | Ephesians 1:17 | Isaiah 11:2 (“the Spirit of wisdom and revelation”) | The Mystery of Christ Revealed | The Messiah (Isaiah 11’s shoot from Jesse’s stump) | Messianic-Spirit endowment language extended to all believers in Ephesians | Medium: reuses ñeeñal (wisdom), already flagged as distinct from hakkille per ch. 1 semantic analysis |
| 12 | Ephesians 1:20 | Psalm 110:1 (“seated at his right hand”) | Lordship of Christ (baseline) | Christ (David’s greater son); David | One of the most-quoted OT verses in the NT (Matthew 22:44, Acts 2:34-35, Hebrews 1:13); directly parallel to Romans 8:34’s “who is at the right hand of God” | Critical: reinforces baseline’s Joom rendering for Christ’s exclusive Lordship; the enthronement image must not be flattened into ordinary honored-seating custom |
| 13 | Ephesians 1:14 | Deuteronomy 32:9 / Psalm 16:5-6 (inheritance/portion language) | Election and Predestination in Christ | Israel (the LORD’s inheritance/portion) | OT covenant-inheritance language extended to believers’ spiritual inheritance | Medium: reuses ndonu; strong positive cultural resonance with Fulani lineage-inheritance custom, but must retain the spiritual (not literal-property) sense |
| 14 | Ephesians 2:1-3 | Genesis 2:17 / Genesis 3:19 (death as the consequence of sin) | Salvation by Grace through Faith / Universal Human Accountability (baseline) | Adam and Eve | The Fall narrative’s death-sentence, universalized in Ephesians 2:1’s “dead in trespasses” | High: connects directly to Romans 5:12-14’s Adam-typology; see Section 4 below |
| 15 | Ephesians 2:12 | Exodus 19:5-6 (“a holy nation,” covenant community) | Unity of Jews and Gentiles in One New Humanity | Israel (at Sinai) | Gentile exclusion from Israel’s covenant privileges prior to Christ, now overcome | High: teach with sensitivity to present-day inter-ethnic tension in the Sahel, per baseline caution |
| 16 | Ephesians 2:14 | Isaiah 9:6 / Micah 5:5 (the coming Prince of Peace) | Unity of Jews and Gentiles / Messianic Promise | The Messiah | ”He himself is our peace” identifies Christ directly as the fulfillment of messianic peace prophecy | Critical: reuses baseline jam; must be distinguished from the everyday greeting-register sense of jam, per baseline’s Peace with God caution |
| 17 | Ephesians 2:21-22 | Exodus 25:8 / 1 Kings 6 / Ezekiel 37:26-27 (God’s dwelling among his people) | The Church as the Body of Christ | Solomon (temple builder); Ezekiel (prophesied future dwelling) | Tabernacle/temple typology fulfilled in the church as God’s Spirit-indwelt dwelling | High: reuses ñiiɓirde, deliberately avoiding the jinna root per semantic analysis |
| 18 | Ephesians 3:6 | Genesis 12:3 / Isaiah 49:6 (blessing to all nations / light to the nations) | Unity of Jews and Gentiles / The Mystery of Christ Revealed | Abraham; Israel as a light to the nations | The Abrahamic covenant’s universal scope, now disclosed as fulfilled in Gentile inclusion | High: directly parallel to Romans 4:11-12, 16 (Abraham as father of all who believe, circumcised and uncircumcised) |
| 19 | Ephesians 3:9 | (no single OT text; canon-wide “hidden for ages” motif) | The Mystery of Christ Revealed | — | Directly parallel to Romans 16:25 (“the mystery kept secret for long ages”) | Critical: reuses gundu; must never use sirru (Sufi esoteric-knowledge term), per semantic analysis |
| 20 | Ephesians 4:24 | Genesis 1:26-27 (the image of God) | Walking in Newness of Life | Adam (created in God’s image) | The “new self” renewed in God’s image reverses/restores what was marred in the Fall | High: connects the individual-ethical “new self” to the corporate “one new humanity” of Ephesians 2:15 |
| 21 | Ephesians 4:30 | Isaiah 63:10 (“they grieved his Holy Spirit”) | Walking in Newness of Life | Israel (in the wilderness) | The same verb-concept (“grieve the Spirit”) applied to Israel’s rebellion is now applied to the church | High: must retain Ruuhu Ceniiɗo in full, teaching the Spirit’s personal, relational nature |
| 22 | Ephesians 5:2 | Exodus 29:18 / Leviticus 1:9 (a pleasing/fragrant offering) | Salvation by Grace through Faith (Christ’s atonement) | Christ (the self-offering sacrifice); OT priests (who offered animal sacrifices) | OT sacrificial-aroma language reapplied to Christ’s unique, once-for-all self-offering | High: flagged in semantic analysis for sadaka’s collision with Islamic sadaqa (almsgiving); this OT background reinforces that the referent is a unique atoning sacrifice, not charitable giving |
| 23 | Ephesians 5:14 | Isaiah 60:1 / Isaiah 26:19 (composite: “Awake, sleeper… arise… and Christ will shine on you”) | Walking in Newness of Life / Messianic Promise | The Messiah (as the dawning light) | A likely early-church hymn drawing on Isaiah’s resurrection/light-dawning imagery, presented with a citation-like introductory formula | Medium: reuses annoora (light); confirm the resurrection-wakening metaphor is not heard as literal sleep |
| 24 | Ephesians 5:22-33 | Genesis 1:27 / Genesis 2:18-24; Hosea 2:19-20; Isaiah 54:5, 62:5 (marriage-covenant imagery for God/Israel) | Household Codes and Christ-Centered Relationships | Adam and Eve; Israel as the LORD’s bride | The OT’s marriage-covenant metaphor for God’s relationship to his people culminates in Christ and the church | Critical: see Typology Section 4 below; the hoore (headship) term must always pair with the self-giving-love standard of 5:25 |
| 25 | Ephesians 6:9 | Deuteronomy 10:17 / Leviticus 19:15 (“no partiality”) | Household Codes and Christ-Centered Relationships | — | Directly parallel to Romans 2:11 (“God shows no partiality”) | Medium: ensure identical phrasing to any existing Romans rendering of this principle |
| 26 | Ephesians 6:12 | Daniel 10:13 (the “prince of Persia,” a hostile spiritual power); Psalm 82 (divine council imagery) | Spiritual Warfare and the Armor of God | Daniel; the angelic “prince of Persia” | Establishes OT precedent for organized, personal hostile spiritual powers operating behind human affairs | Critical: the single highest-collision doctrine in this curriculum, per semantic analysis; must never use jinna/jinnaaji vocabulary |
| 27 | Ephesians 6:14-17 | Isaiah 11:5 (righteousness as a belt); Isaiah 59:17 (breastplate of righteousness, helmet of salvation); Isaiah 52:7 (feet/gospel of peace, same verse as #2 above) | Spiritual Warfare and the Armor of God | The LORD (as Divine Warrior, Isaiah 59:17); the Messiah (Isaiah 11:5) | Isaiah’s portrayal of YHWH/the Messiah as the Divine Warrior clothed in righteousness is now extended to the church, who is armed with God’s own weapons | Critical: reuses baseline peewal, jam, kisal, Linjiila; the armor must be taught as spiritual equipment given by God, categorically distinct from marabout-sourced protective amulets |
Section 3 — Messianic References
| # | Ephesians Passage | Messianic Content | OT Root | NT Parallel(s) | Translation Sensitivity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| M1 | Ephesians 1:20-21 | Christ enthroned at God’s right hand, above every rule and authority | Psalm 110:1; Daniel 7:13-14 | Romans 8:34; Matthew 22:44; Hebrews 1:13 | Critical — reinforces baseline’s Lordship of Christ entry; avoid political-throne connotations tied to Sokoto Caliphate memory |
| M2 | Ephesians 1:22 | Christ given dominion “under his feet” | Psalm 8:6 | 1 Corinthians 15:27; Hebrews 2:6-8 | High — see Section 1, #1 |
| M3 | Ephesians 2:14 | Christ as “our peace,” fulfilling the promised Prince of Peace | Isaiah 9:6; Micah 5:5 | — | Critical — see Section 2, #16 |
| M4 | Ephesians 2:20 | Christ as the rejected-then-exalted cornerstone | Psalm 118:22; Isaiah 28:16 | Romans 9:33; Matthew 21:42; 1 Peter 2:6-7 | Critical — see Section 1, #3; direct Romans parallel |
| M5 | Ephesians 3:5-6 | The Messiah’s saving work extended to Gentiles, previously hidden, now revealed to “his holy apostles and prophets” | Genesis 12:3; Isaiah 49:6 | Romans 11:25; 16:25 | High — see Section 2, #18-19 |
| M6 | Ephesians 4:8-10 | Christ’s ascension as messianic triumph and gift-bestowal | Psalm 68:18 | Romans 10:6-7 (Deuteronomy 30:12-13 reapplied) — thematically parallel ascension/descent argument | High — see Section 1, #4; teach the two passages as complementary, not identical, arguments |
| M7 | Ephesians 5:14 | Christ as the dawning light who wakens the spiritually dead | Isaiah 60:1; 26:19 | Romans 13:11-12 (parallel “wake from sleep… day is at hand” exhortation) | Medium — see Section 2, #23; note the Romans parallel for teaching consistency of the sleep/wake metaphor |
| M8 | Ephesians 5:25-27, 32 | Christ as the Bridegroom who sanctifies and presents his bride, the church, fulfilling OT marriage-covenant imagery | Hosea 2:19-20; Isaiah 54:5, 62:5 | Revelation 19:7-9; 21:2 (fuller canonical bridal consummation, outside this curriculum’s scope but relevant background) | Critical — see Typology Section 4 |
Section 4 — Typological Patterns
| # | Type (OT) | Antitype/Fulfillment (Ephesians) | Related Passages | Parallel in Romans / Other Curricula | Translation Sensitivity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| T1 | Adam, whose fall brought universal death (Genesis 3) | The “old self”/“old man” put off, and the “one new man” created in Christ, reversing Adam’s fall | Ephesians 2:1-3, 2:15, 4:22-24 | Directly parallel to Romans 5:12-21’s Adam/Christ typology, already a load-bearing structure in the baseline curriculum | Critical — must teach Ephesians’ individual (“new self”) and corporate (“one new humanity”) applications of this same Adam-reversal typology as two distinct but related facets of the same doctrine |
| T2 | The tabernacle/temple as God’s dwelling among Israel (Exodus 25:8; 1 Kings 6; Ezekiel 37:26-27) | The church as God’s Spirit-indwelt “holy temple,” built on Christ the cornerstone | Ephesians 2:19-22 | No direct Romans parallel (Romans does not develop temple ecclesiology at this length); a genuinely new typological structure for this pipeline | High — must remain clearly distinct from moosaale (mosque), per baseline |
| T3 | The Passover lamb and Exodus deliverance from bondage (Exodus 12) | Redemption “through his blood,” the forgiveness of trespasses | Ephesians 1:7 | Parallel to Romans 3:24-25’s redemption/blood-atonement language, though Romans’ baseline translation_memory.json does not record a dedicated “redemption” entry — this curriculum introduces one (soodaandi) that should be considered for retroactive adoption in Romans materials | High — new term; must retain the “through his blood” clause explicitly, per semantic analysis |
| T4 | Israel as the LORD’s covenant bride (Hosea 2:19-20; Isaiah 54:5, 62:5; Song of Solomon) | Christ and the church as bridegroom and bride, fulfilling and surpassing the marriage-covenant metaphor, itself rooted in the Genesis 2:24 creation ordinance | Ephesians 5:22-33 | No direct Romans parallel; a distinctive Ephesians typological structure | Critical — see semantic analysis’s hoore (headship) and jebbilaade (submission) cautions; must never default into unexamined Islamic or Pulaaku household-submission norms |
| T5 | YHWH as the Divine Warrior, clothed in righteousness, salvation, and vengeance (Isaiah 59:17; 11:5) | The church, clothed in the “armor of God,” fighting a spiritual (not carnal) battle | Ephesians 6:10-17 | No direct Romans parallel; the single highest new cultural-collision doctrine introduced by this curriculum, per prior semantic analysis and glossary | Critical — dedicated theological framing required distinguishing this from folk-Islamic/marabout protective practice |
| T6 | The rejected stone that becomes the cornerstone (Psalm 118:22; Isaiah 28:16) | Christ as the church’s cornerstone, with apostles and prophets as the foundation | Ephesians 2:20-22 | Directly parallel to Romans 9:33 | Critical — see Rendering-Consistency Rule 2 |
Section 5 — Parallels to Romans and Other Pipeline Curricula
| # | Ephesians Passage | Romans Parallel | Shared Doctrine | Rendering-Consistency Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| P1 | Ephesians 2:8-9 | Romans 3:24; 4:4-5; 11:5-6 | Salvation by Grace through Faith | Arjunde (grace), gomɗinal (faith), golle (works), kisal (saved) — all baseline terms — MUST be used identically; the “apart from works” contrast must be stated explicitly in both curricula per baseline instruction |
| P2 | Ephesians 1:4-5, 11 | Romans 8:29-30; 9:11-13 | Election and Predestination in Christ | suɓagol (election) root must be used identically; both curricula must distinguish this from natal (fate/al-qadar) per baseline’s Providence/Effectual Calling cautions |
| P3 | Ephesians 2:14-16 | Romans 3:29-30; 9-11; 15:7-12 | Unity of Jews and Gentiles in One New Humanity | leƴƴi goo (Gentiles) and Israa’iila (Israel) — baseline terms — MUST be used identically; “no distinction” language handled with identical sensitivity to Sahelian inter-ethnic tension in both curricula |
| P4 | Ephesians 2:2, 2:10, 4:1, 4:17, 5:2, 5:8, 5:15 | Romans 6:4 (“that we too might walk in newness of life”) | Walking in Newness of Life | The Greek verb περιπατέω (peripateō) is shared between Romans 6:4 and every Ephesians “walk” occurrence listed. This is the single most important lexical consistency point in this curriculum: yahdu must be the fixed Fulfulde rendering in every instance across both curricula, since this curriculum’s own doctrine title directly echoes Romans 6:4’s phrase |
| P5 | Ephesians 1:19-20; 2:6 | Romans 1:4; 6:4-5; 8:11 | Resurrection of Christ / Christian Identity in Christ | Baseline immorde e maayde (resurrection) must anchor Ephesians’ “raised together with Christ” (immintinaa e Kiristu) as a distinct-but-connected claim, per semantic analysis; both must engage the baseline’s Critical resurrection risk (Quran 4:157 denial of the crucifixion) |
| P6 | Ephesians 1:13-14 | Romans 8:16, 8:23 | Assurance of Salvation / Adoption | The Spirit as seal/guarantee (Ephesians) and as witness/firstfruits (Romans) are complementary images of the same assurance doctrine; teach together, using baseline Ruuhu Ceniiɗo in full in both |
| P7 | Ephesians 3:6, 9 | Romans 11:25; 16:25 | The Mystery of Christ Revealed | gundu (mystery) as coined in this curriculum should be treated as the pipeline-standard rendering for μυστήριον going forward, including for retroactive application to Romans 11:25/16:25 if those documents are revised; never sirru |
| P8 | Ephesians 4:11 | Romans 12:6-8 | Gifts for Building Up the Church | The two gift-lists differ in content (Ephesians: apostle/prophet/evangelist/pastor/teacher; Romans: prophecy/service/teaching/exhortation/giving/leadership/mercy) and must be taught as complementary enumerations of the same dokkal Ruuhu (baseline term) doctrine, not as contradictory or exhaustive lists |
| P9 | Ephesians 6:9 | Romans 2:11 | Impartiality of God | ”No partiality with him” must render identically in both curricula |
| P10 | Ephesians 6:1-9 | Romans 13:1-7 | Authority/Household structures | Both are flagged in the baseline escalation rules as sensitive “authority” passages requiring native-speaker review; teach as structurally parallel (submission-to-legitimate-authority) but doctrinally distinct (household relationships vs. civil government) |
| P11 | Ephesians 3:6; 3:8 | Romans 4:11-12, 16 | Abrahamic promise fulfilled in Gentile inclusion | Both curricula ground Gentile inclusion in God’s promise to Abraham (Genesis 12:3; cf. Genesis 15:6 for the baseline’s imputed_righteousness entry); cross-teach for full canonical grounding |
| P12 | Ephesians 5:2 | Romans 12:1 | Sacrificial self-offering | Ephesians’ sadaka (Christ’s atoning offering) and Romans 12:1’s “living sacrifice” (believers’ response) are related-but-distinct sacrificial images; must not be collapsed into one concept — Christ’s sacrifice is unique and atoning, believers’ sacrifice is responsive and non-atoning |
Section 6 — Rendering-Consistency Rules for Shared Quotations
The following rules govern any term or quotation shared between Ephesians and Romans (or any future pipeline curriculum) and MUST be enforced identically in Phase 2 translation:
- Isaiah 52:7 (quoted in both Ephesians 2:17 and Romans 10:15): Render with baseline Linjiila (gospel) and jam (peace) exactly as fixed for Romans 10:15. Any future revision to the Romans 10:15 rendering must be propagated back to Ephesians 2:17, and vice versa.
- Psalm 118:22 / Isaiah 28:16 stone testimonia (Ephesians 2:20; Romans 9:33): Use one fixed Fulfulde term for “cornerstone” (hayre fuɗnaande, per semantic analysis) across both curricula; do not introduce a synonym in either document.
- περιπατέω / “walk” motif (Romans 6:4; Ephesians 2:2, 2:10, 4:1, 4:17, 5:2, 5:8, 5:15): Fix yahdu as the single Fulfulde rendering in every occurrence across both curricula without exception, given that this curriculum’s own doctrine title (“Walking in Newness of Life”) is drawn directly from this shared vocabulary item.
- Psalm 110:1 (Ephesians 1:20; Romans 8:34): Render “seated at [God’s] right hand” identically in both curricula, preserving the enthronement/authority sense over any merely social seating-of-honor image.
- μυστήριον / mystery (Ephesians 1:9, 3:3-9, 5:32; Romans 11:25, 16:25): Fix gundu (full form gundu Alla suuɗaaɗo feeñinaango on first use per document) as the single pipeline-standard rendering; sirru is permanently forbidden in both curricula for this concept.
- suɓagol / election (Ephesians 1:4-5, 11; Romans 8:29-30, 9:11-13): Use the identical root and the identical explicit qualification distinguishing it from natal in both curricula.
- Genesis 2:24 (quoted Ephesians 5:31; not directly quoted in Romans but foundational to any future marriage-themed curriculum in this pipeline): The Fulfulde rendering fixed here becomes the pipeline’s canonical form and must be reused verbatim in any subsequent curriculum quoting this verse.
- Exodus 20:12 / Deuteronomy 5:16 (quoted Ephesians 6:2-3): Fix the rendering of the fifth commandment here as the pipeline’s canonical form for any future Decalogue-referencing curriculum.
- “No partiality” formula (Ephesians 6:9; Romans 2:11): Render with one fixed Fulfulde phrase in both curricula.
- Any newly coined term in this document that duplicates a concept already present in the Romans baseline but not yet given a dedicated
translation_memory.jsonentry (e.g., soodaandi for “redemption,” ἀπολύτρωσις, present in Romans 3:24 but not separately recorded in the baseline): flag explicitly for a theologian decision on whether to retroactively add the term to the Romans package for full pipeline consistency, per Rule 3 of this section’s precedent.
