Holy

святой is the only viable term and is deeply established, but it carries strong Orthodox associations with canonized saints (святые) and holy objects/icons/relics (святыни). For a Protestant curriculum this is mostly an asset (the concept of ‘set apart for God’ is culturally intuitive) but requires clarifying that all believers, not only canonized figures, are called holy (see saints).
