Glory

слава is standard, but is also the first word of the widely used national and patriotic greeting ‘Слава Україні’ (‘Glory to Ukraine’), especially prominent since 2014 and further since 2022. This gives слава strong, current patriotic resonance that must not be allowed to blur with or substitute for God’s own glory in theological passages (1:23, 9:5); context should keep the divine referent clear and undiluted.
