Jesus

Ісус (single і) is the standard modern Ukrainian spelling across the Ohienko translation and all major traditions — distinct from the Russian double-vowel Иисус. Using the Russian spelling would read as a Russicism and is explicitly rejected, a live concern given the post-2022 push to distinguish Ukrainian usage from Russian influence in every domain, including religious vocabulary.
