Justification

CRITICAL: виправдання is the Ohienko translation’s own term and must be used in this exact Ukrainian spelling rather than the Russian-cognate оправдання, which would read as a Russicism in a curriculum meant to serve Ukrainian-identifying readers. As in the wider Orthodox and Greek Catholic traditions, there is no developed forensic-declaration doctrine analogous to Reformation justification; this must be explained rather than assumed, and виправдання must not quietly resolve into ‘forgiveness of sins’ (прощення гріхів) alone, which loses the declarative sense.
