Resurrection
CRITICAL: unlike other languages, Judaism itself affirms a future general resurrection (one of the 13 Principles of Faith, recited in the Amidah’s ‘mechayeh hametim’ blessing) - so the word is not the problem. The problem: mainstream Rabbinic expectation holds the Messiah completes his mission (rebuilt Temple, worldwide peace, ingathering of exiles) within one unbroken reign; a Messiah who dies and rises, to return later and finish the job, does not fit that template and must be taught as a distinct, two-comings pattern, not assumed as self-evident.
