Righteousness

CRITICAL: צְדָקָה (tzedakah) has narrowed in Modern Hebrew to mean specifically ‘charity’ (a tzedakah box is a charity box). Using it for ‘the righteousness of God’ risks being heard as ‘God’s charity’ rather than right standing. צֶדֶק retains the broader abstract sense and is required, except where Genesis 15:6 itself is being quoted (see imputed_righteousness).
