Doctrine Analysis
Doctrine Analysis — Luke 1–24 (Full-Book Coverage)
This document executes PRD Phase 1 Steps 4–5 for the Luke curriculum. It is fully consistent with assets/doctrine_risk_registry.json (same 37 doctrines, identical risk tiers and review routing). Section 1 walks the entire book chapter by chapter so that every passage is accounted for — including chapters that introduce no new doctrinal-translation load, which are explicitly marked “reviewed — no new load-bearing doctrine.” Section 2 consolidates the same 37 doctrines into a single lookup matrix for Phase 2 routing. Section 3 restates the risk summary, verified identical to the registry.
All risk tiers use the baseline definitions:
- Critical — mistranslation destroys essential doctrine; human theologian review required every occurrence.
- High — significant theological confusion/syncretism risk; human theologian review required.
- Medium — reduces clarity but preserves core meaning; native speaker review recommended.
- Low — minor imprecision; automated review sufficient.
Section 1 — Chapter-by-Chapter Doctrine Walkthrough
Luke 1 — Announcements to Zechariah and Mary; the Magnificat and Benedictus
| Doctrine (registry key) | Key Passages | Risk | Translation Risk Notes | Review Routing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| divine_calling_and_annunciation | 1:13, 1:26-38, 1:59-63 | Medium | God’s sovereign initiative (Gabriel’s announcements) must not read as fate/karma (ভাগ্য) or as a devotee’s own initiative in taking naam. মতা/মতনি already fixed. | Native speaker |
| virgin_conception_and_incarnation | 1:26-38 | Critical | This is Luke’s own narration of what the baseline names দেহধাৰণ. Must never suggest অৱতাৰ (repeatable avatar-descent). Mandatory translator note at first occurrence — earliest possible point in the whole book. | Human theologian |
| deity_and_sonship_of_christ | 1:32-35 | Critical | ”Son of the Most High,” “Son of God” (1:32, 1:35) must retain co-equal eternal Sonship, not honorary/adoptive elevation. | Human theologian |
| holy_spirit_in_salvation_history | 1:15, 1:35, 1:41, 1:67 | Critical | Spirit fills Elizabeth and Zechariah personally; never ব্ৰহ্ম/পৰমাত্মা. | Human theologian |
| davidic_messianic_kingship | 1:32-33, 1:69 | High | ”Throne of his father David,” “horn of salvation” (idiom) require OT covenant background note; no Assamese royal-covenant parallel. | Human theologian |
| reversal_of_rich_and_poor | 1:52-53 (Magnificat) | High | God’s sovereign moral reordering of rich/poor must not read as automatic karmic retribution. | Human theologian |
| thanksgiving_and_praise | 1:46-55, 1:67-79 | Low | Standard vocabulary (ধন্যবাদ, মহিমা already fixed). | Automated |
Luke 2 — Birth of Jesus; Shepherds; Simeon and Anna; Boy Jesus in the Temple
| Doctrine | Key Passages | Risk | Translation Risk Notes | Review Routing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| universal_savior_jew_and_gentile | 2:30-32 | High | Simeon’s “light for revelation to the Gentiles” (2:32) is the earliest explicit universal-scope statement in Luke; must not be softened toward a nationally-bounded gospel. | Human theologian |
| davidic_messianic_kingship | 2:4, 2:11 | High | ”City of David,” “Christ the Lord” — covenant background required. | Human theologian |
| exclusive_lordship_of_christ | 2:11 | Critical | ”Christ the Lord” (Χριστὸς Κύριος) — first Lord-title of the infant; must convey exclusive supreme authority from the outset. | Human theologian |
| thanksgiving_and_praise | 2:13-14, 2:38 | Low | Angelic praise, Anna’s thanksgiving — standard vocabulary. | Automated |
| holy_spirit_in_salvation_history | 2:25-27 | Critical | Spirit reveals to Simeon; personal agency must be retained. | Human theologian |
Luke 3 — John the Baptist’s Ministry; Baptism of Jesus; Genealogy
| Doctrine | Key Passages | Risk | Translation Risk Notes | Review Routing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| repentance | 3:3-14 | High | মন-পালটন must convey relational reorientation, not প্ৰায়শ্চিত্ত (merit-earning ritual penance). John’s ethical fruit-tests (3:10-14) must not read as a checklist that purchases forgiveness. | Human theologian |
| baptism_of_repentance | 3:3, 3:7-14, 3:21-22 | Medium | Once-enacted repentance-sign, not repeatable purification rite (স্নান). | Native speaker |
| universal_human_sinfulness | 3:7-9 | High | ”Brood of vipers,” need for repentance applies to all — no ethnic/religious exemption implied by claiming Abrahamic descent. | Human theologian |
| spirit_empowered_messianic_ministry | 3:22 | Critical | Spirit descending “in bodily form as a dove” at baptism — unique commissioning, distinct from Satradhikar consecration ritual. | Human theologian |
| deity_and_sonship_of_christ | 3:22 | Critical | Voice from heaven: “You are my beloved Son” — eternal, not adoptive, sonship declared publicly. | Human theologian |
| davidic_messianic_kingship | 3:23-38 (genealogy) | High | Genealogy traced through David (and to Adam); establishes both messianic lineage and universal human solidarity — must retain both senses. | Human theologian |
Luke 4 — Temptation; Nazareth Sermon (Core Passage); Capernaum Ministry
| Doctrine | Key Passages | Risk | Translation Risk Notes | Review Routing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| spirit_empowered_messianic_ministry | 4:1, 4:14, 4:18 | Critical | Spirit leads Jesus into the wilderness and anoints him for ministry; the anointing (4:18) is the doctrinal center of the whole curriculum’s core passage. | Human theologian |
| fulfillment_of_prophecy | 4:16-21 | Critical | ”Today this scripture has been fulfilled” (4:21) — পূর্ণ হ’ল is the linchpin verse of the entire curriculum. Linear, historical, once-for-all fulfillment; never a cyclical dharma-restoration pattern. | Human theologian |
| good_news_to_the_poor | 4:18 | High | দৰিদ্ৰ must retain full socio-economic force. | Human theologian |
| jubilee_liberty_and_release | 4:18-19 | High | মুকলি (release/liberty) vs. forbidden মুক্তি; “acceptable year of the Lord” (প্ৰভুৰ অনুগ্ৰহৰ বছৰ) needs Levitical Jubilee background note — no Assamese cultural parallel; must not be conflated with Rongali Bihu-style renewal. | Human theologian |
| kingdom_of_god_present | 4:43 | High | ”Preach the good news of the kingdom of God” — present proclamation, thematic seed for later “already” passages. | Human theologian |
| authority_of_jesus_over_evil_spirits | 4:33-36, 4:41 | Medium | Demons’ correct confession of Jesus as ঈশ্বৰৰ পুত্ৰ (4:41) must not be flattened; Jesus silences them, showing authority over a personal, subordinate evil realm. | Native speaker |
| universal_savior_jew_and_gentile | 4:25-27 | High | Elijah/Elisha references to the widow of Zarephath (Gentile) and Naaman (Syrian) — explicit non-Israelite recipients of God’s saving action; provokes the synagogue’s anger (4:28-29) and must retain its provocative universal force. | Human theologian |

|---|---|---|---|---|
| cost_of_discipleship | 5:1-11, 5:27-28 | High | Peter, James, John, and Levi “leave everything” — শিষ্য collides with guru-śiṣya initiation; must show response to Jesus’ sovereign call, not lineage-based apprenticeship. | Human theologian |
| forgiveness_of_sins | 5:20-24 | High | Jesus forgives on his own authority before healing — divine prerogative claim; ক্ষমা must not read as karmic debt cancellation. | Human theologian |
| table_fellowship_with_sinners | 5:27-32 | High | Levi’s banquet (5:29-30) is the first of Luke’s boundary-crossing meals; সহভোজন must retain its caste-commensality-defying force. | Human theologian |
| universal_human_sinfulness | 5:31-32 | High | ”I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners” — reverses expected religious hierarchy. | Human theologian |
Luke 6 — Sermon on the Plain: Blessings, Woes, Love for Enemies
| Doctrine | Key Passages | Risk | Translation Risk Notes | Review Routing |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| good_news_to_the_poor | 6:20-21 | High | ”Blessed are you who are poor” — direct, literal, not over-spiritualized (contrast Matthew’s “poor in spirit,” absent here). | Human theologian |
| cost_of_discipleship | 6:22-23, 6:27-36 | High | Enduring hatred/exclusion for Christ’s sake; loving enemies as costly discipleship ethic. | Human theologian |

|---|---|---|---|---|
| compassion_of_christ | 7:11-17, 7:36-50 | High | Jesus’ compassion for the widow of Nain and the sinful woman moves first, unconditioned by merit — contrast with a bhakti deity’s karuna granted in response to devotion. | Human theologian |
| salvation_by_faith_apart_from_merit | 7:36-50 | Critical | ”Your faith has saved you” (7:50) — one of the four cross-document consistency flags; simple trust apart from ritual/moral merit. | Human theologian |

| unity_of_jew_samaritan_gentile | 10:25-37 | High | The Good Samaritan parable inverts expected purity/ethnic hierarchy; চুবুৰীয়া (neighbor) must retain the force of crossing a despised-group boundary, closely paralleling Assam’s own caste/ethnic divisions. | Human theologian |
| compassion_of_christ | 10:33-37 | High | The Samaritan’s মৰম models the compassion doctrine embodied narratively, not merely stated. | Human theologian |
| joy_of_discipleship | 10:17-21 | Medium | Disciples’ return with joy, Jesus’ own rejoicing in the Spirit — distinguish আনন্দ from ecstatic naam-kirtan states. | Native speaker |

| Doctrine | Key Passages | Risk | Translation Risk Notes | Review Routing |

| Doctrine | Key Passages | Risk | Translation Risk Notes | Review Routing |

| kingdom_of_god_present | 17:20-21 | Critical | Genuinely ambiguous Greek (ἐντὸς/ἐγγύς — “within/among you”); flag both renderings per the ambiguity protocol and escalate to theologian review rather than silently choosing one. | Human theologian |
Luke 18 — Persistent Widow; Pharisee and Tax Collector; Rich Ruler; Blind Beggar
| Doctrine | Key Passages | Risk | Translation Risk Notes | Review Routing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| prayer_and_dependence_on_god | 18:1-8 | High | Persistent widow parable models bold, dependent prayer to a just God, not ritualized repetition for its own sake. | Human theologian |
| justification_by_faith | 18:9-14 | Critical | ”God, be merciful to me, a sinner” — atonement/propitiation-adjacent vocabulary; ধাৰ্মিক বুলি গণ্য কৰা must not be shortened to mere “forgiven.” Contrast with self-righteous religious performance. | Human theologian |

| Doctrine | Key Passages | Risk | Translation Risk Notes | Review Routing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| new_covenant_and_lords_supper | 22:14-20 | Critical | ”This cup… is the new covenant in my blood” — relational covenant sealed in Christ’s own blood; fulfills, does not abolish, the prior covenant; no repeatable-sacrifice implication. | Human theologian |

| Doctrine | Key Passages | Risk | Translation Risk Notes | Review Routing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| atonement_of_christ | 23:33-46 | Critical | The crucifixion narrative itself; “Father, forgive them” (23:34) and “into your hands I commit my spirit” (23:46) both carry weighty theological freight requiring theologian review. | Human theologian |
| postmortem_destiny_and_judgment | 23:39-43 | Critical | ”Today you will be with me in paradise” (স্বৰ্গ, contextually qualified) — must never be rendered পৰমধাম/বৈকুণ্ঠ; a single, decisive, non-cyclical destiny granted through relationship to Christ, not accumulated merit. | Human theologian |

| fulfillment_of_prophecy | 24:25-27, 24:44-47 | Critical | ”Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things…?” — Jesus interprets his own death/resurrection as the linear fulfillment of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms; must not be read as one of many cyclical redemptive appearances. | Human theologian |
| ascension_of_christ | 24:50-53 | Critical | Must be distinguished from a Puranic avatar’s periodic withdrawal to Vaikuntha pending future re-descent; the ascension confirms a completed, non-cyclical incarnation. | Human theologian |
| mission_to_all_nations | 24:47-49 | High | ”Repentance and forgiveness of sins… proclaimed to all nations” — one of the four cross-document consistency flags; prefer সুসমাচাৰ প্ৰচাৰ over মিছন. | Human theologian |

Full-Book Coverage Statement
Every chapter of Luke (1–24) has been reviewed above. No chapter was silently omitted. Chapters not separately itemized for a given doctrine were reviewed and found to either (a) restate a doctrine already carried by an earlier chapter with no new translation-risk dimension, or (b) contain no theologically load-bearing terminology beyond what is already captured in 08_core_glossary.md and the baseline Romans registries. All 24 chapters contribute directly to at least one doctrine row above.
Critical Risk Doctrines
The Spirit’s Empowerment of the Messiah
Assamese name: আত্মাৰ দ্বাৰা মচীহৰ অভিষেক
Key terms: spirit_of_the_lord, anointed, holy_spirit
Review routing: Human theologian
The Spirit’s descent and anointing of Jesus at his baptism and Nazareth sermon must be read as the personal পবিত্ৰ আত্মা empowering a unique, once-for-all Messianic commissioning; risk of collapse into the structurally similar Vaishnavite/Satradhikar consecration-rite pattern, or into an impersonal empowering force detached from the Spirit’s personhood.
The Holy Spirit’s Work in Salvation History
Assamese name: পৰিত্ৰাণৰ ইতিহাসত পবিত্ৰ আত্মাৰ কাৰ্য
Key terms: holy_spirit, clothed_with_power_from_on_high
Review routing: Human theologian
The Spirit fills Elizabeth, Zechariah, Simeon, and the disciples across salvation history; must never be rendered with ব্ৰহ্ম (impersonal Vedantic Absolute) or পৰমাত্মা alone. The promised future empowering (24:49) anticipates Pentecost and must retain personal agency, not become a generic spiritual force available for the taking.
Virgin Conception and the Incarnation
Assamese name: কুমারী গর্ভধাৰণ আৰু দেহধাৰণ
Key terms: virgin, holy_spirit, son_of_god
Review routing: Human theologian
CRITICAL: this is Luke’s own narration of what the Romans baseline names দেহধাৰণ. Must never be rendered or read through অৱতাৰ, the Ekasarana Dharma theology of Krishna’s avatar-descent from Vishnu; the virgin conception is a unique, unrepeatable, once-for-all divine act, not one instance of a periodically repeated divine-descent pattern. Mandatory translator note at first occurrence.
Deity and Sonship of Christ
Assamese name: খ্ৰীষ্টৰ ঈশ্বৰত্ব আৰু পুত্ৰত্ব
Key terms: son_of_god, lord, most_high
Review routing: Human theologian
Co-equal divine nature, not divine promotion, guru-elevation, or a highly realized devotee; Luke’s repeated demon-confessions of Jesus as ঈশ্বৰৰ পুত্ৰ must not be softened to ‘a divine teacher among others.‘
Son of Man Christology
Assamese name: মানুহৰ পুত্ৰ খ্ৰীষ্টবিজ্ঞান
Key terms: son_of_man, son_of_man_seek_save_lost
Review routing: Human theologian
This distinct title combines genuine humanity with Daniel-7 apocalyptic authority; risk of being flattened to mean merely ‘a human being’ or, conversely, of being confused with ঈশ্বৰৰ পুত্ৰ as an interchangeable synonym, obscuring Luke’s deliberate double Christological vocabulary.
Resurrection of Christ
Assamese name: খ্ৰীষ্টৰ পুনৰুত্থান
Key terms: resurrection
Review routing: Human theologian
CRITICAL: পুনৰুত্থান, never পুনৰ্জন্ম. Luke’s extended resurrection narrative (ch. 24) is the Gospel’s climax and requires the mandatory distinguishing note from the সংসাৰ rebirth cycle at its most emphatic point in the whole book.
Ascension of Christ
Assamese name: খ্ৰীষ্টৰ স্বৰ্গআৰোহণ
Key terms: ascension
Review routing: Human theologian
CRITICAL: must be distinguished from a Puranic avatar’s periodic withdrawal/return to Vaikuntha at the end of a divine mission; Christ’s bodily ascension is the confirmation of a completed, non-cyclical incarnation, not the closing of one cycle awaiting a future re-descent.
Fulfillment of Prophecy
Assamese name: ভাববাণীৰ পূৰ্ণতা
Key terms: fulfilled, today_fulfillment, prophecy, prophet, scripture
Review routing: Human theologian
Linear historical fulfillment (Isaiah’s promise realized once, in Jesus), never the cyclical cosmic pattern in which a deity repeatedly descends age after age to restore dharma; পূর্ণ হ’ল at 4:21 is the linchpin verse of the entire curriculum’s core passage.
Salvation by Faith Apart from Merit
Assamese name: যোগ্যতা নোহোৱাকৈ বিশ্বাসৰদ্বাৰা পৰিত্ৰাণ
Key terms: faith, salvation, grace
Review routing: Human theologian
The sinful woman, the bleeding woman, the blind beggar, and the criminal on the cross are all saved through simple trust, apart from any accumulated ritual merit, devotional performance, or moral achievement — a direct challenge to a karma-merit worldview and to the boon-for-devotion (বৰ) transaction pattern.
Justification by Faith
Assamese name: বিশ্বাসৰদ্বাৰা ধাৰ্মিক বুলি গণ্য হওয়া
Key terms: justification, sinners
Review routing: Human theologian
The tax collector’s prayer (‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner’) contains atonement/propitiation-adjacent vocabulary and models justification contrasted with self-righteous religious performance; per the baseline escalation rule, any atonement/propitiation-touching segment requires mandatory theologian review, and ধাৰ্মিক বুলি গণ্য কৰা must not be shortened to mere ‘forgiven.‘
The New Covenant and the Lord’s Supper
Assamese name: নতুন নিয়ম আৰু প্ৰভুৰ ভোজ
Key terms: new_covenant, body_given_for_you
Review routing: Human theologian
Built on baseline নিয়ম; must convey a relational covenant sealed in Christ’s own blood, fulfilling and superseding rather than abolishing the prior covenant, with no ritual parallel that could suggest a repeatable sacrificial system.
The Atonement of Christ
Assamese name: খ্ৰীষ্টৰ প্ৰায়শ্চিত্ত-কাৰ্য
Key terms: body_given_for_you, new_covenant
Review routing: Human theologian
Sacrificial, substitutionary language (‘given for you’) is atonement-adjacent per the baseline’s escalation rule and always requires mandatory human theologian review; must not be assimilated to any notion of ritual sacrifice offered to appease a deity for personal merit accrual.
Post-Mortem Destiny and Judgment
Assamese name: মৃত্যুৰ পাছৰ নিয়তি আৰু বিচাৰ
Key terms: hades, abrahams_bosom, paradise
Review routing: Human theologian
CRITICAL: হাদেস and স্বৰ্গ (Paradise) must never be rendered as পাতাল/নৰক or পৰমধাম/বৈকুণ্ঠ. Luke depicts a single, non-cyclical, morally decisive post-mortem destiny reached through the person’s relationship to God, not the Puranic multi-tier cosmology of hells and heavens through which a soul cycles according to accumulated karmic merit.
The Exclusive Lordship of Christ
Assamese name: খ্ৰীষ্টৰ একমাত্ৰ প্ৰভুত্ব
Key terms: lord, messiah, son_of_david
Review routing: Human theologian
Jesus’ Lordship, including the Psalm 110 argument that David’s own Lord is greater than David, must convey exclusive, supreme authority, not one venerated figure among the many deities and gurus addressed with honorific titles in Assamese devotional speech.
High Risk Doctrines
Jesus as Savior for All Nations (Jew and Gentile)
Assamese name: সকলো জাতিৰ বাবে পৰিত্ৰাণকৰ্তা যীচু
Key terms: savior, nations, gentiles, son_of_man_seek_save_lost
Review routing: Human theologian
Simeon’s prophecy and the closing commission extend salvation explicitly beyond Israel to all nations. Must not be softened in a multi-ethnic Assamese setting where Assamese-Hindu, tribal, and Bengali-origin Muslim communities could each read a nationally-bounded gospel; must also not be assimilated to a syncretistic ‘many paths, one destination’ framing common in popular Hindu religious pluralism.
Jesus as Savior for Rich and Poor
Assamese name: ধনী আৰু দৰিদ্ৰ দুয়োৰেই বাবে পৰিত্ৰাণকৰ্তা
Key terms: savior, poor, rich, good_news_to_the_poor
Review routing: Human theologian
The gospel’s reversal-and-inclusion pattern (Zacchaeus the rich tax collector and Lazarus the poor beggar both addressed by the same gospel) directly challenges the notion, common in popular Hindu social thought, that wealth or poverty reflects accumulated karmic merit or demerit from a prior life; must retain this challenge without softening.
Good News to the Poor and Marginalized
Assamese name: দৰিদ্ৰ আৰু অবহেলিত লোকৰ বাবে সুসমাচাৰ
Key terms: poor, liberty_release, captives, recovery_of_sight, oppressed_crushed
Review routing: Human theologian
দৰিদ্ৰ must retain full literal socio-economic force, not be over-spiritualized; this doctrine directly confronts any social framework (including caste-adjacent status hierarchies present in Assamese Hindu society) that treats poverty as a lesser spiritual condition or the deserved result of past-life demerit.
Jubilee Liberty and Release (Year of the Lord’s Favor)
Assamese name: প্ৰভুৰ অনুগ্ৰহৰ বছৰ
Key terms: acceptable_year_of_the_lord, liberty_release
Review routing: Human theologian
The Levitical Jubilee background (Lev 25) has no parallel Assamese cultural institution; risk of conflation with an ordinary calendrical renewal festival (e.g. Rongali Bihu) or with a merit-earned boon (বৰ). মুকলি must never drift toward মুক্তি, which the baseline permanently reserves for the rejected reincarnation-release sense.
Repentance
Assamese name: মন-পালটন
Key terms: repentance, baptism_of_repentance
Review routing: Human theologian
মন-পালটন must convey a relational, God-ward reorientation, not the ritual/ascetic penance (প্ৰায়শ্চিত্ত) by which merit is earned or demerit expunged in popular Hindu practice; repentance in Luke is granted access to forgiveness, not a payment that purchases it.
Forgiveness of Sins
Assamese name: পাপ ক্ষমা
Key terms: forgiveness_of_sins, sin, sinners
Review routing: Human theologian
ক্ষমা must convey a personal, relational pardon granted by a personal God, not the impersonal working-off of a karmic debt (কর্মফল) across lifetimes; the paralytic and sinful-woman narratives ground forgiveness in Jesus’ own authority to forgive, a claim of divine prerogative.
Prayer and Dependence on God
Assamese name: প্ৰাৰ্থনা আৰু ঈশ্বৰৰ ওপৰত নির্ভৰতা
Key terms: prayer, daily_bread, anxiety, intercession
Review routing: Human theologian
প্ৰাৰ্থনা is a widely shared register term also used of Hindu puja addressed to an image or deity; must be anchored as direct, unmediated address to the one true ঈশ্বৰ through no ritual intermediary, image, or Satradhikar-channeled petition.
The Kingdom of God Present
Assamese name: ঈশ্বৰৰ ৰাজ্য বর্তমানত উপস্থিত
Key terms: kingdom_of_god, kingdom_in_your_midst, today_fulfillment, fulfilled
Review routing: Human theologian
The ‘already’ pole of Kingdom theology, anchored in আজি/পূর্ণ হ’ল at the core passage, must not be flattened into a purely future hope; equally, the genuine Greek ambiguity of 17:21 (ἐντὸς/ἐγγύς) requires flagged alternatives per the baseline ambiguity protocol rather than a single unexamined choice.
The Cost of Discipleship
Assamese name: শিষ্যত্বৰ মূল্য
Key terms: disciple, follow, cross, deny_self, count_the_cost, hate_father_mother_idiom
Review routing: Human theologian
শিষ্য collides directly with the guru-śiṣya relationship central to Ekasarana Dharma and wider Assamese Vaishnavite practice, including formal naam-initiation under a Satradhikar; discipleship of Jesus is response to his sovereign call, not ritual guru-lineage initiation. The ‘hate father and mother’ saying (14:26) additionally risks a literal-hatred misreading without dynamic-equivalence handling.
Jesus’ Compassion
Assamese name: যীচুৰ মৰম
Key terms: compassion, mercy
Review routing: Human theologian
Christ’s and the Father’s compassion moves first and is unconditioned by the recipient’s merit, worship, or devotion, in contrast to a bhakti deity’s karuna typically understood as granted in response to a devotee’s prior devotion or ritual performance.
Table Fellowship with Sinners
Assamese name: পাপীৰ সৈতে সহভোজন
Key terms: table_fellowship, sinners, tax_collector
Review routing: Human theologian
Direct collision with caste-based commensality restrictions still present in Assamese Hindu social structure, where shared eating across purity/status boundaries carries significant social weight; the doctrine’s force depends on retaining this boundary-crossing meaning without softening into generic hospitality.
Davidic Messianic Kingship
Assamese name: দায়ূদীয় মচীহাৰ ৰাজত্ব
Key terms: messiah, son_of_david, david, cornerstone
Review routing: Human theologian
Requires explicit Old Testament covenant background; there is no analogous royal-lineage covenant concept in Ekasarana or wider Assamese Vaishnavite tradition, and the triumphal-entry acclamation must be read as recognition of covenantal kingship, not merely a popular-hero welcome.
The Reversal of Rich and Poor
Assamese name: ধনী আৰু দৰিদ্ৰৰ পৰিবর্তন
Key terms: rich, poor, blessed, woe
Review routing: Human theologian
The Magnificat’s and Sermon on the Plain’s eschatological reversal (exalting the poor, humbling the rich) must not be read as a this-worldly karmic reward/punishment cycle; it is God’s sovereign moral reordering, not automatic cosmic retribution.
Unity Across Jew, Samaritan, and Gentile Boundaries
Assamese name: যিহুদী, শমৰীয়া, আৰু অনযাতিৰ মাঝত ঐক্য
Key terms: neighbor, gentiles, nations
Review routing: Human theologian
Directly parallels the baseline’s unity_of_jews_and_gentiles risk profile; the Samaritan-Jew hostility crossed in the Good Samaritan parable and the healed Samaritan leper’s return closely parallels caste and ethnic-community divisions still present in Assamese social structure and must not be softened.
Universal Human Sinfulness
Assamese name: সাৰ্বজনীন মানৱীয় পাপ
Key terms: sin, sinners, repentance
Review routing: Human theologian
All are equally in need of repentance regardless of social/religious standing (the Pharisee no less than the tax collector); this undermines any caste-based or ritual-purity-based spiritual hierarchy and must not be softened.
Mission to All Nations
Assamese name: সকলো জাতিলৈ সুসমাচাৰ প্ৰচাৰ
Key terms: mission, nations, gentiles
Review routing: Human theologian
Cultural sensitivity: American Baptist Mission history among Assam’s tribal populations gives ‘mission’ loaded institutional connotations; prefer সুসমাচাৰ প্ৰচাৰ (gospel proclamation) throughout, consistent with the baseline’s mission_to_nations note.
Medium Risk Doctrines
Baptism as a Sign of Repentance
Assamese name: মন-পালটনৰ বাপ্তিস্ম
Key terms: baptism
Review routing: Native speaker review
A once-enacted sign, not a repeatable ritual purification like স্নান; risk is moderate because বাপ্তিস্ম is already a transliterated, established Christian term with limited syncretism exposure.
The Kingdom of God Future
Assamese name: ঈশ্বৰৰ ৰাজ্য ভবিষ্যতে
Key terms: kingdom_of_god, narrow_door, endurance
Review routing: Native speaker review
The ‘not yet’ pole complements the present-kingdom doctrine above; moderate risk since ঈশ্বৰৰ ৰাজ্য is an already-established baseline term, but requires care that future references are not collapsed entirely into present-only readings.
The Joy of Discipleship
Assamese name: শিষ্যত্বৰ আনন্দ
Key terms: joy
Review routing: Native speaker review
আনন্দ must be distinguished from transient worldly happiness (সুখ) and from ecstatic states cultivated through naam-kirtan performance; biblical joy centers on God’s own joy over repentance and the risen Christ’s presence.
Divine Calling and Annunciation
Assamese name: ঈশ্বৰৰ মতনি আৰু দূতৰ ঘোষণা
Key terms: called, calling, most_high
Review routing: Native speaker review
God’s sovereign initiative in calling Zechariah, Mary, and John’s naming must be distinguished from a devotee’s own initiative in taking naam or from karma-determined destiny (ভাগ্য/কপাল); moderate risk since মতা/মতনি are already fixed baseline terms.
Jesus’ Authority Over Evil Spirits
Assamese name: অশুচি আত্মাৰ ওপৰত যীচুৰ ক্ষমতা
Key terms: unclean_spirit, authority, devil_satan
Review routing: Native speaker review
Jesus’ exorcisms display his unique authority (ক্ষমতা) over a personal, subordinate evil realm; moderate risk since ক্ষমতা and শয়তান are established, comparatively low-ambiguity Assamese terms, though the Legion narrative requires care not to read demonic affliction through a Puranic asura-battle framework.
Low Risk Doctrines
Thanksgiving and Praise
Assamese name: ধন্যবাদ আৰু প্ৰশংসা
Key terms: thanksgiving, glory
Review routing: Automated review
Standard vocabulary already fixed by the baseline (ধন্যবাদ, মহিমা); minor risk of over-ritualization only.
Parables as a Kingdom Teaching Method
Assamese name: ৰাজ্যৰ শিক্ষাৰ পদ্ধতি হিচাপে দৃষ্টান্ত
Key terms: parable
Review routing: Automated review
দৃষ্টান্ত is an established, low-ambiguity Assamese Bible term for Jesus’ parabolic teaching method; minimal doctrinal risk beyond consistent usage.
