Core Glossary
Core Glossary: Revelation (English → Assamese)
This glossary extends, and never contradicts, the Romans-curriculum translation_memory.json/bible_term_registry.json. Section A reuses established baseline terms that recur with high theological density in Revelation. Section B introduces NEW terms first required by the Revelation curriculum, each following the same risk-tier conventions (Critical/High/Medium/Low) and citing every chapter of occurrence for full-book coverage.
Section A — Reused Baseline Terms with Elevated Density in Revelation
These terms MUST use the exact Assamese rendering already recorded in the Romans translation_memory.json. Do not re-derive or substitute alternatives. Listed here because their frequency and doctrinal weight in Revelation warrant a translator alert even though the rendering itself is already fixed.

Critical Risk Terms
God
Approved rendering: ঈশ্বৰ
Transliteration: Iswôr
Doctrine: Deity of Christ / Sovereignty of God over History
Rejected alternatives: ভগৱান, পৰমেশ্বৰ
Original: θεός
Category: God
Inherited from Romans package. Revelation intensifies the risk because the book stages direct worship-contests (chs. 4-5, 13, 19) in which ঈশ্বৰ must never be confusable with a devotional object among several.
Lord
Approved rendering: প্ৰভু
Transliteration: prôbhu
Doctrine: Deity and Lordship of Christ
Rejected alternatives: স্বামী, ঈশ্বৰ
Original: κύριος
Category: Christology
Inherited from Romans package. Must combine correctly inside new compound titles (King of Kings, Lord of Lords) without altering its own fixed rendering.
Jesus
Approved rendering: যীচু
Transliteration: Yisu
Doctrine: Deity and Lordship of Christ
Rejected alternatives: ঈছা
Original: Ἰησοῦς
Category: Christology
Inherited from Romans package. In Revelation also identified as the Lamb, the Word of God, and Faithful and True.
Holy Spirit
Approved rendering: পবিত্ৰ আত্মা
Transliteration: pobitrô atma
Doctrine: Church as Bride of Christ (22:17 joint invitation)
Rejected alternatives: ব্ৰহ্ম, পৰমাত্মা
Original: πνεῦμα ἅγιον / τὸ Πνεῦμα
Category: God
Inherited from Romans package. Speaks to the churches (chs. 2-3) and joins the Bride’s closing invitation (22:17).
Resurrection
Approved rendering: পুনৰুত্থান
Transliteration: punoruththan
Doctrine: Resurrection and Bodily Hope
Rejected alternatives: পুনৰ্জন্ম, পুনৰ্জীৱন
Original: ἀνάστασις
Category: Eschatology
Inherited from Romans package. Qualified in Revelation 20 as ‘the first resurrection’ (see first_resurrection entry below); NEVER পুনৰ্জন্ম.
Righteousness
Approved rendering: ধাৰ্মিকতা
Transliteration: dharmikôta
Doctrine: Church as Bride of Christ (fine linen = righteous deeds, 19:8)
Rejected alternatives: ধৰ্ম, পুণ্য, ন্যায়
Inherited from Romans package. Underlies 19:8’s ‘righteous deeds of the saints’ (ধাৰ্মিক কাৰ্যসমূহ); never ধৰ্ম.
Justification
Approved rendering: ধাৰ্মিক বুলি গণ্য কৰা
Transliteration: dharmik buli gonyô kôra
Doctrine: Church as Bride of Christ (fine linen given, not earned)
Rejected alternatives: ক্ষমা পোৱা, পুণ্য লাভ কৰা
Inherited from Romans package. Grounds the mandatory reading of Revelation 19:8’s fine linen as GIVEN, not self-achieved.
Salvation
Approved rendering: পৰিত্ৰাণ
Transliteration: poritran
Doctrine: Assurance of God’s Final Victory over Evil
Rejected alternatives: মুক্তি, মোক্ষ, নিস্তাৰ
Inherited from Romans package. Underlies Revelation’s whole deliverance vocabulary (worthy is the Lamb who was slain to ransom/save, 5:9-10). NEVER মুক্তি or মোক্ষ.
Son Of God
Approved rendering: ঈশ্বৰৰ পুত্ৰ
Transliteration: Iswôror putrô
Doctrine: Sonship of Christ and Logos-Christology
Rejected alternatives: ঈশ্বৰৰ অংশ, দেৱপুৰুষ
Inherited from Romans package. Reserved exclusively for Christ’s unique, eternal Sonship. In Revelation 21:7 the generic adoptive ‘son’ language for overcoming believers must use unmodified পুত্ৰ, NOT this fixed compound, to avoid collapsing Christ’s unique Sonship into every believer’s derived sonship.
Incarnation
Approved rendering: দেহধাৰণ
Transliteration: dehôdharon
Doctrine: The Return and Reign of Christ (contrast term)
Rejected alternatives: অৱতাৰ, প্ৰকাশ
Inherited from Romans package. NEVER অৱতাৰ. Referenced by contrast throughout Revelation’s Christology (the Lamb once slain, now reigning) and against any reading of Christ’s future ‘coming soon’ (22:7,12,20) as a repeatable avatar-descent.
Imputed Righteousness
Approved rendering: আৰোপিত ধাৰ্মিকতা
Transliteration: aropitô dharmikôta
Doctrine: Church as Bride of Christ
Rejected alternatives: অৰ্জিত ধাৰ্মিকতা
Inherited from Romans package. Governs the mandatory reading of Revelation 19:8: the fine linen (righteous deeds) is GIVEN to the Bride, not self-achieved merit.
Messiah
Approved rendering: মচীহ
Transliteration: mosih
Doctrine: Davidic Messianic Fulfillment
Rejected alternatives: অভিষিক্ত ব্যক্তি, অৱতাৰ পুৰুষ
Inherited from Romans package. Underlies খ্ৰীষ্ট (Christ) throughout Revelation; must not be assimilated to an avatar-figure.
Father
Approved rendering: পিতা
Transliteration: pita
Doctrine: Deity and Lordship of Christ
Rejected alternatives: ব্ৰহ্মা, সৃষ্টিকৰ্তা
Inherited from Romans package. ‘To his God and Father’ (1:6); the throne belongs jointly to ‘God and the Lamb’ without displacing the Father’s own title.
Alpha And Omega
Approved rendering: আল্ফা আৰু ওমেগা, আৰম্ভ আৰু শেষ
Transliteration: Alfa aru Omega, arômbhô aru xex
Doctrine: Sovereignty of God over History; Deity and Lordship of Christ
Rejected alternatives: অ আৰু ক্ষ (Assamese-alphabet substitution)
Original: τὸ Ἄλφα καὶ τὸ Ὦ, ἡ ἀρχὴ καὶ τὸ τέλος
Category: God
New term. Transliterate the Greek merism rather than substituting Assamese-alphabet letters. Applied identically to the Father (1:8; 21:6) and the Son (22:13); render 22:13 word-for-word identically to 1:8. Mandatory note distinguishing linear sovereignty over history from cyclical yuga-time at every first occurrence.
Eternal Existence Formula
Approved rendering: যি আছিল, যি আছে, আৰু যি আহিব
Transliteration: ji asil, ji ase, aru ji ahibo
Doctrine: Sovereignty of God over History
Original: ὁ ἦν καὶ ὁ ὢν καὶ ὁ ἐρχόμενος
Category: God
New term. Fixed three-clause compound; never abbreviate to a single tense-marked verb. Must describe one continuous linear divine existence, not a deity’s position within a repeating cosmic-age cycle.
Worship
Approved rendering: প্ৰণিপাত কৰা
