Core Glossary
Core Glossary: Philippians — English → Odia
This glossary extends the baseline Romans translation_memory.json for the Philippians curriculum. Terms marked Baseline Reuse must use the exact recorded Odia rendering from the baseline package with no deviation. Terms marked New (Philippians) are proposed additions requiring the same enforcement discipline once approved and entered into translation memory. Risk tiers follow the baseline’s four-tier framework (Critical / High / Medium / Low) and the same review-routing convention (Critical & High → human theologian; Medium → native speaker; Low → automated).

Section B — New Terms Introduced by Philippians
| English Term | Original (Greek) | Transliteration | Odia Rendering | Odia Transliteration | Risk | Doctrine | Alternatives Rejected | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Emptied himself (kenosis) | ἐκένωσεν (κενόω) | ekenōsen (kenoō) | ଆପଣାକୁ ଶୂନ୍ୟ କଲେ | āpaṇāku śūnya kalē | Critical | Incarnation / Kenosis | — (no viable alternative avoids some risk; periphrastic gloss required) | ଶୂନ୍ୟ collides directly with Buddhist śūnyatā (doctrine of emptiness) and the mathematical “zero”; MUST be paired every occurrence with an explanatory clause clarifying Christ did not cease to be God but set aside the outward exercise of divine glory. Mandatory theologian review every occurrence. |
| Form of God | μορφὴ θεοῦ | morphē theou | ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱରୂପ | Parameśwaraṅka swarūpa | Critical | Deity of Christ / Incarnation | ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରକୃତି (considered; less idiomatic) | Swarupa is a technical term in Gaudiya-Vaishnav theology for a deity’s eternal essential form distinct from assumed manifestations (cf. Jagannath/Krishna svarupa); must not suggest Christ is one svarupa-manifestation among several. |
| Form of a servant | μορφὴν δούλου | morphēn doulou | ଦାସର ସ୍ୱରୂପ | dāsara swarūpa | Critical | Incarnation / Humanity of Christ | — | Compounds the swarupa risk above with the dāsa/dāsya-bhakti risk below; requires the fullest mandatory translator note in the glossary. |
| Equality with God | ἴσα θεῷ | isa theō | ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସମାନ | Parameśwaraṅka sahita samāna | Critical | Deity of Christ | ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ପରି (rejected — implies mere resemblance, not full equality) | Must never be qualified toward “godlike” or “a manifestation of God”; full ontological equality. |
| A thing to be grasped | ἁρπαγμός | harpagmos | ଜୋର୍ କରି ଧରି ରଖିବାର ବିଷୟ | jora kari dhari rakhibāra biṣaya | High | Incarnation | ଛଡ଼ାଇ ନେବାର ବିଷୟ (robbery-sense, dated) | Christ did not treat his deity as something to selfishly exploit/cling to; he did not lose or give up his divine nature. |
| Servant / slave | δοῦλος | doulos | ଦାସ | dāsa | Critical (at 2:7); High (general, e.g. 1:1) | Incarnation / Humanity of Christ / Apostleship | ସେବକ (too weak — implies voluntary/paid service, not total ownership) | Dāsa is the title of the revered Panchasakha poet-saints (Jagannath Das, Balaram Das, etc.) and names dāsya-bhāva, a classical bhakti devotional posture toward Krishna/Jagannath. Christ’s δοῦλος-status names a one-time historical act of incarnational humiliation, not an ongoing devotional relational posture. Mandatory translator note at 2:7. |
| Likeness of men | ὁμοίωμα ἀνθρώπων | homoiōma anthrōpōn | ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ସାଦୃଶ୍ୟରେ | manuṣya sādṛśyare | High | Humanity of Christ | ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ପରି ଦେଖାଗଲେ (rejected — too weak, implies mere appearance/docetism) | Affirms genuine, real, historical humanity; not a ritual representation or illusory appearance. |
| Outward form (human) | σχῆμα | schēma | ବାହ୍ୟ ରୂପ | bāhya rūpa | Medium-High | Incarnation / Humanity of Christ | — | Distinct nuance from μορφή; observable human manner, not costume/disguise. Thematic link to 3:21’s μετασχηματίσει. |
| Humbled himself | ἐταπείνωσεν ἑαυτόν | etapeinōsen heauton | ଆପଣାକୁ ନମ୍ର କଲେ | āpaṇāku namra kalē | High | Unity and Humility / Incarnation | — | Shares root with ταπεινοφροσύνη (2:3); Christ’s action is the pattern for church humility (inclusio). |
| Obedient unto death | ὑπήκοος μέχρι θανάτου | hypēkoos mechri thanatou | ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆଜ୍ଞାବହ | mṛtyu paryanta ājñābaha | High | Incarnation / Obedience of Faith (Christ’s own) | — | Christ’s own redemptive obedience; distinct application from baseline’s believer-facing “obedience of faith.” |
| Cross | σταυρός | stauros | କ୍ରୁଶ | kruśa | Medium | Incarnation / Atonement | — | Stable established term; retain honor/shame force in surrounding exposition. |
| Highly exalted | ὑπερύψωσεν | hyperypsoō | ଅତ୍ୟଧିକ ଉଚ୍ଚୀକୃତ କଲେ | atyadhika ucchīkṛta kalē | Medium-High | Lordship of Christ | ଉଚ୍ଚ କଲେ (too weak — loses intensive ὑπέρ- force) | Superlative, not merely comparative, exaltation. |

| Every knee bow | πᾶν γόνυ κάμψῃ | pan gony kampsē | ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଆଣ୍ଠୁ ନଇଁବ | pratyeka āṇṭhu naiṇba | High | Lordship of Christ | — | Universal, compelled, eschatological worship of the exclusive Lord across all cosmic realms; not comparable to devotional prostration before Jagannath as one revered figure among others. |
| Every tongue confess | πᾶσα γλῶσσα ἐξομολογήσηται | pasa glōssa exomologēsētai | ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜିଭ ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରିବ | pratyeka jiva swīkāra karibē | High | Lordship of Christ | — | Must use the baseline’s exact Romans 10:9 confession formula for “Jesus [Christ] is Lord,” never ଠାକୁର. |
| Joy / rejoice | χαρά / χαίρω | chara / chairō | ଆନନ୍ଦ / ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିବା | ānanda / ānanda karibā | High | Joy in Suffering and Imprisonment | — | Established Odia Bible term, but collides with Vedantic sat-chit-ānanda (impersonal metaphysical bliss) and Jagannath festival-devotional elation (cf. baseline’s Ananda Bazaar reference). Must be taught as relational joy in a personal, reigning Christ, sustained through — not by escaping — suffering. |

| Selfish ambition | ἐριθεία | eritheia | ସ୍ୱାର୍ଥପର ଉଚ୍ଚାକାଂକ୍ଷା | swārthapara ucchākāṅkṣā | Low-Medium | Unity and Humility | — | — |
| Conceit / vainglory | κενοδοξία | kenodoxia | ମିଥ୍ୟା ଗର୍ବ | mithyā garba | Medium | Unity and Humility | ଅହଙ୍କାର (rejected — a loaded Samkhya/Vedantic ego-principle term) | Shares root κενός with κενόω (2:7); ironic wordplay (empty pride vs. Christ’s true self-emptying) worth footnoting. |
| Humility | ταπεινοφροσύνη | tapeinophrosynē | ନମ୍ରତା | namratā | Medium-High | Unity and Humility in the Church | — | Distinguish from caste-enforced deference (imposed, not voluntary) and from merit-earning ascetic self-denial. |
| Work out your own salvation | κατεργάζεσθε … σωτηρίαν | katergazesthe … sōtērian | ପରିତ୍ରାଣକୁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ ପରିଣତ କରିବା | paritrāṇaku kāryyare pariṇata karibā | High | Salvation / Sanctification | — | Must always be taught paired with 2:13 (God at work in you) to prevent works-righteousness misreading, given the ritual-merit economy risk already documented in baseline. |

| Deacon / minister | διάκονος / λειτουργός | diakonos / leitourgos | ସେବକ | sebaka | Medium-High | Christ-Centered Ministry | ଡିକନ୍ (transliteration, acceptable alternative) | Shares root with ସେବା, flagged in baseline for hereditary caste-linked temple-service collision; must be voluntary, congregationally-recognized office. |
| Partnership in the gospel | κοινωνία εἰς τὸ εὐαγγέλιον | koinōnia eis to euangelion | ସୁସମାଚାର ପ୍ରଚାରରେ ସହଭାଗିତା | susamācāra pracārare sahabhāgitā | Medium | Partnership in the Gospel | — | Active material/spiritual partnership, not mere social fellowship. |
| Circumcision | περιτομή | peritomē | ସୁନ୍ନତ | sunnata | Medium | Righteousness by Faith vs. Law | ତ୍ୱକ୍ଛେଦ (viable literary alternative) | Common Odia usage strongly associates ସୁନ୍ନତ with Islamic practice; clarify OT covenant-sign background. |
| Confidence in the flesh | πεποίθησις ἐν σαρκί | pepoithēsis en sarki | ଶରୀରରେ ଭରସା | śarīrare bharasā | High | Righteousness by Faith vs. Law | ଶରୀରରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ (rejected — would blur with baseline’s saving-faith term ବିଶ୍ୱାସ) | Deliberately avoid ବିଶ୍ୱାସ for this negative sense. |
| Rubbish / dung | σκύβαλα | skybala | ଆବର୍ଜନା | ābarjanā | Low-Medium | Righteousness by Faith vs. Law | — | Retain deliberate crudeness/shock value. |

| Fellowship of his sufferings | κοινωνία παθημάτων αὐτοῦ | koinōnia pathēmatōn autou | ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗର ସହଭାଗିତା | tāhāṅka duḥkhabhogara sahabhāgitā | Medium-High | Pressing on toward the Goal / Joy in Suffering | — | Shared participation in Christ’s sufferings as gospel partnership, not karmic consequence. |
| Suffering(s) | πάθημα / πάσχω | pathēma / paschō | ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗ | duḥkhabhoga | Medium | Joy in Suffering and Imprisonment | କଷ୍ଟ (acceptable alternative in narrative contexts) | Distinguish from Buddhist/Hindu duḥkha as impersonal karmic/cyclical suffering; frame as purposeful suffering for Christ’s sake in fellowship with him. |

| Mature / perfect | τέλειος | teleios | ପରିପକ୍ୱ | paripakva | High | Pressing on toward the Goal | ସିଦ୍ଧ (rejected — a technical Hindu yogic/tantric term for a self-perfected being with supernatural siddhis) | Deliberately not “sinless perfection”; contradicts Paul’s own not-yet-arrived posture (3:12). |
| Citizenship | πολίτευμα | politeuma | ନାଗରିକତା | nāgarikatā | Medium-High | Citizenship in Heaven | ପ୍ରଜାପଣ (considered; less standard) | No Greco-Roman dual-citizenship parallel in Odisha; must supersede, not merely supplement, earthly regional/cultural (Jagannath-linked) identity. |

- Chapter 2 — reviewed in full, including the core passage (2:1-11) and the remainder (2:12-30); introduces the kenosis/incarnation term cluster (highest-priority new vocabulary in the curriculum), unity/humility vocabulary, and ministry-service terms.
- Chapter 3 — reviewed in full; introduces righteousness-by-faith-vs-law vocabulary (reusing baseline’s Critical terms exactly), citizenship in heaven, pressing-on/goal/prize vocabulary, and resurrection-body transformation language.
- Chapter 4 — reviewed in full; introduces contentment vocabulary, the virtue list, fragrant-offering imagery, and closes the letter’s joy/unity/partnership themes with direct callbacks to Chapters 1-2 terms.

This glossary must be merged into translation_memory.json (incrementing the version number and appending Philippians entries under a new curriculum scope or unified multi-book structure, per project convention) before Phase 2 Philippians segment translation begins. All Section A terms are enforced with zero deviation; all Section B terms require theologian sign-off before their first entry into translation memory, per the baseline’s new-term escalation rule.
Critical Risk Terms
Righteousness
Approved rendering: ଧାର୍ମିକତା
Transliteration: dhārmikatā
Doctrine: Salvation
Rejected alternatives: ଧର୍ମ, ପୁଣ୍ୟ

Category: Salvation
CRITICAL: never ଧର୍ମ. Right standing before God received through faith, not cosmic duty or ritual merit. Inherited from Romans package. In Philippians occurs 1:11, 3:6, 3:9; 3:9 is the letter’s flagship righteousness-by-faith-vs-law statement, paralleling Romans 1:17 and 3:21-22, requiring identical theologian-review priority.
Imputed Righteousness
Approved rendering: ଆରୋପିତ ଧାର୍ମିକତା
Transliteration: āropita dhārmikatā
Doctrine: Justification by Faith
Rejected alternatives: ନିଜ ଚେଷ୍ଟାରେ ଅର୍ଜିତ ଧାର୍ମିକତା
Original: δικαιοσύνην τὴν διὰ πίστεως Χριστοῦ (cf. Rom 4:3 pattern)

In Philippians occurs 1:19, 1:28, 2:12, 3:20; the imperative ‘work out your own salvation’ (2:12) must always be taught paired with 2:13 to prevent a works-righteousness misreading (see work_out_your_salvation below).

Approved rendering: ପ୍ରଭୁ
Transliteration: prabhu
Doctrine: Lordship of Christ
Rejected alternatives: ଠାକୁର
Original: κύριος
Category: Christology

God as personal Father; avoid the abstract ସୃଷ୍ଟିକର୍ତ୍ତା. Inherited from Romans package. In Philippians occurs 1:2, 2:11, 4:20; at 2:11 the Son’s confession serves ‘the glory of God the Father,’ Trinitarian symmetry.
Christ
Approved rendering: ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ
Transliteration: Khrīṣṭa
Doctrine: Christology
Rejected alternatives: ଅବତାରୀ ପୁରୁଷ
Original: Χριστός
Category: Christology
Established Odia Christian transliteration per baseline transliteration standards; formalized here as an explicit TM entry because Philippians uses ‘Christ’ pervasively as a title throughout the letter (e.g., 1:1, 1:21, 2:5, 3:8-9). Must not be rendered with terms suggesting a generic avatar, guru, or one deity among several regional venerated forms, such as the Puri triad of Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra worshipped together.
Form Of God
Approved rendering: ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱରୂପ
Transliteration: Parameśwaraṅka swarūpa
Doctrine: The Incarnation and Self-Emptying of Christ (Kenosis)
Rejected alternatives: ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରକୃତି (considered, less idiomatic)
Original: μορφὴ θεοῦ
Category: Incarnation
Phil 2:6 μορφὴ θεοῦ. GROUNDED REASON FOR CRITICAL TIER: ସ୍ୱରୂପ is a precise technical term in Odia Gaudiya-Vaishnav theology naming a deity’s own eternal, essential form as distinct from various assumed manifestations (Krishna’s/Jagannath’s svarupa vs. avatara-form). Mandatory translator note required at every occurrence, clarifying Christ’s timeless, undiminished, unique co-equal deity — not one svarupa-manifestation among several. Cross-references baseline’s deity_of_christ and incarnation Critical doctrines.
Equality With God
Approved rendering: ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସମାନ
Transliteration: Parameśwaraṅka sahita samāna
Doctrine: Deity of Christ and Equality with God
Rejected alternatives: ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ପରି (implies mere resemblance, not full equality)
Original: ἴσα θεῷ
Category: Christology
Phil 2:6 ἴσα θεῷ. Must never be qualified toward ‘godlike’ or ‘a manifestation of God.’ Regional risk of a family-of-deities framing (the Puri triad of Jagannath, Balabhadra, Subhadra) makes clarity essential — full ontological equality with the Father.
Kenosis Emptied Himself
Approved rendering: ଆପଣାକୁ ଶୂନ୍ୟ କଲେ
Transliteration: āpaṇāku śūnya kalē
Doctrine: The Incarnation and Self-Emptying of Christ (Kenosis)
Original: ἑαυτὸν ἐκένωσεν (κενόω)
Category: Incarnation
Phil 2:7 ἐκένωσεν. THE SINGLE HIGHEST-PRIORITY TERM IN THIS CURRICULUM. ଶୂନ୍ୟ collides directly with Buddhist śūnyatā and the ordinary word for mathematical ‘zero’; risks ‘he dissolved into nothingness’ rather than ‘he laid aside the exercise of his glory while remaining fully God.’ MANDATORY: may never stand alone without an accompanying clarifying clause or footnote, e.g. ‘ଆପଣାକୁ ଶୂନ୍ୟ କଲେ (ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ନିଜର ମହିମା ଓ ଅଧିକାର ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ଦାସର ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲେ — ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ହେବା ବନ୍ଦ କରି ନ ଥିଲେ).’ Every occurrence requires mandatory human theologian review, no exceptions.
Form Of A Servant
Approved rendering: ଦାସର ସ୍ୱରୂପ
Transliteration: dāsara swarūpa
Doctrine: The Incarnation and Self-Emptying of Christ (Kenosis)
Original: μορφὴν δούλου
Category: Incarnation
Phil 2:7 μορφὴν δούλου. Compounds the svarupa-collision risk documented for form_of_god with the dāsa/dāsya-bhakti collision documented for servant_slave; requires the fullest mandatory translator note discipline in this glossary.
Servant Slave
Approved rendering: ଦାସ
Transliteration: dāsa
Doctrine: The Incarnation and Self-Emptying of Christ (Kenosis)
Rejected alternatives: ସେବକ (too weak — implies voluntary/paid service, not total ownership)
Original: δοῦλος
Category: Incarnation
Critical at Phil 2:7 δοῦλος (Christ’s incarnational servant-status); High for general occurrences such as Paul’s self-designation at 1:1. GROUNDED REASON: ଦାସ is the title borne by the revered Panchasakha poet-saints (Jagannath Das, Balaram Das, Ananta Das, Yashovanta Das, Achyutananda Das) and names dāsya-bhāva, a classical bhakti devotional posture toward Krishna/Jagannath. Christ’s δοῦλος-status names a one-time historical act of voluntary humiliation to the point of a criminal’s death (2:8), not an ongoing devotional relational posture a worshipper adopts toward a deity. Mandatory translator note required at 2:7.
High Risk Terms
Gospel
Approved rendering: ସୁସମାଚାର
Transliteration: susamācāra
Doctrine: Gospel
Rejected alternatives: ଖବର
Original: εὐαγγέλιον
Category: Salvation
Established Odia Christian term (su- ‘good’ + samācāra ‘news’), shared in form with the wider Eastern Indian (Bengali-Odia) Christian tradition. Avoid the generic ଖବର (news). Inherited from Romans package. In Philippians occurs 1:5, 1:7, 1:12, 1:16, 1:27, 2:22, 4:3, 4:15, including proclamation amid opposition (1:15-18, mixed motives) and the ‘partnership in the gospel’ compound (1:5).
Grace
Approved rendering: କୃପା
Transliteration: kṛpā
Doctrine: Grace
Rejected alternatives: କର୍ମଫଳ, ପୁଣ୍ୟ
Original: χάρις
Category: Salvation
Unmerited favor apart from human merit. Must be distinguished from devotional grace granted in response to bhakti and ritual offering (seba) to Jagannath. Inherited from Romans package. In Philippians occurs 1:2, 1:7, 4:23 — the letter’s own opening and closing frame.
Faith
Approved rendering: ବିଶ୍ୱାସ
Transliteration: biśwāsa
Doctrine: Faith
Rejected alternatives: ଭକ୍ତି
Original: πίστις
Category: Faith
Personal trust in Christ specifically; distinct from Odia Vaishnav bhakti devotional surrender. Inherited from Romans package. In Philippians occurs 1:25, 1:27, 2:17, 3:9; at 3:9 set in direct antithesis to law-keeping and to ‘confidence in the flesh’ (see confidence_in_the_flesh below), sharpening the existing risk.
Law
Approved rendering: ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା
Transliteration: byabasthā
Doctrine: Fulfillment of Prophecy
Rejected alternatives: ଧର୍ମ
Original: νόμος
Category: Covenant
Torah/Mosaic law. NEVER ଧର୍ମ. Inherited from Romans package. In Philippians occurs 3:5, 3:6, 3:9, describing Paul’s former zealous law-keeping now counted as loss compared to knowing Christ; central to the Righteousness by Faith versus the Law doctrine in this curriculum.
Saints
Approved rendering: ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକ
Transliteration: pabitra loka
Doctrine: Sainthood
Rejected alternatives: ସାଧୁ, ପଞ୍ଚସଖା
Original: ἅγιοι
Category: Church
Corporate status of every believer; never ପଞ୍ଚସଖା, the title of the revered Odia Vaishnav poet-saints. Inherited from Romans package. In Philippians occurs 1:1, 4:21, 4:22.
Glory
Approved rendering: ମହିମା
Transliteration: mahimā
Doctrine: Deity of Christ
Rejected alternatives: ତେଜ
Original: δόξα
Category: God
God’s radiant honor; avoid light-only imagery. Inherited from Romans package. In Philippians occurs 1:11, 2:11, 3:19, 3:21, 4:19, 4:20.
Calling
Approved rendering: ଆହ୍ୱାନ
Transliteration: āhwāna
Doctrine: Divine Calling
Original: κλῆσις
Category: Salvation
Noun form for the act/state of being called. Inherited from Romans package. In Philippians occurs at 3:14 as ‘the upward call’ (τῆς ἄνω κλήσεως); distinguish from a devotee’s own vow-taking or pilgrimage to Puri.
Power Of God
Approved rendering: ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସାମର୍ଥ୍ୟ
Transliteration: Parameśwaraṅka Sāmarthya
Doctrine: Power of God for Salvation
Rejected alternatives: ଶକ୍ତି
Original: δύναμις θεοῦ / ἐνδυναμόω
Category: God
Use ସାମର୍ଥ୍ୟ; never ଶକ୍ତି, which evokes Odisha’s Shakta tradition (Maa Samaleswari, Maa Tarini). Inherited from Romans package. In Philippians occurs 3:10 (‘power of his resurrection’) and underlies 4:13 (‘him who strengthens me,’ see strengthens_me below).
Obedience Believers
Approved rendering: ଆଜ୍ଞାବହତା
Transliteration: ājñābahatā
Doctrine: Obedience of Faith
Original: ὑπακούω / ὑπακοή
Category: Faith
Applies baseline’s obedience_of_faith framework to believers’ own responsive obedience in Phil 2:12 (‘as you have always obeyed’), distinct from Christ’s own redemptive obedience in 2:8 (see obedient_unto_death). Must not be reduced to ritual-service obligation (seba dharma) or duty-based compliance that itself builds standing before God.
Existed Truly
Approved rendering: ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ବିଦ୍ୟମାନ ଥିଲେ
Transliteration: prakṛtare bidyamāna thilē
Doctrine: Deity of Christ
Rejected alternatives: ଥିଲେ ପରି ମନେହେଲା (seemed to be)
Original: ὑπάρχων
Category: Incarnation
Phil 2:6 ὑπάρχων. Stronger than a simple ‘to be’; describes Christ’s genuine, continuous, pre-existing possession of the form of God. Must not be softened to ‘seemed to be,’ which would open the door to an adoptionist or docetic misreading.
Thing To Be Grasped
Approved rendering: ଜୋର୍ କରି ଧରି ରଖିବାର ବିଷୟ
Transliteration: jora kari dhari rakhibāra biṣaya
Doctrine: The Incarnation and Self-Emptying of Christ (Kenosis)
Rejected alternatives: ଛଡ଼ାଇ ନେବାର ବିଷୟ (robbery-sense, dated)
Original: ἁρπαγμός
Category: Incarnation
Phil 2:6 ἁρπαγμός. Christ did not treat equality with God as something to selfishly exploit or cling to; must not imply he gave up or lost his deity — he set aside the selfish exercise of divine privilege while retaining the divine nature throughout (cf. Col 2:9).
Likeness Of Men
Approved rendering: ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ସାଦୃଶ୍ୟରେ
Transliteration: manuṣya sādṛśyare
Doctrine: Humanity of Christ
Rejected alternatives: ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ପରି ଦେଖାଗଲେ (too weak, implies mere appearance/docetism)
Original: ὁμοίωμα ἀνθρώπων
Category: Incarnation
Phil 2:7 ὁμοίωμα ἀνθρώπων. Affirms genuine, real, historical humanity; not a ritual representation or illusory appearance, as could wrongly be suggested by comparison with a wooden temple image standing in for divine presence (cf. baseline’s Nabakalebara caution).
Outward Form
Approved rendering: ବାହ୍ୟ ରୂପ
Transliteration: bāhya rūpa
Doctrine: Humanity of Christ
Original: σχῆμα
Category: Incarnation
Phil 2:8 σχῆμα. Distinct nuance from μορφή: the outwardly observable, situational manner of Christ’s human existence. Must not be read as mere costume/disguise, which would reopen the docetic risk flagged for ὁμοίωμα. Thematic link forward to 3:21’s μετασχηματίσει.
Humbled Himself
Approved rendering: ଆପଣାକୁ ନମ୍ର କଲେ
Transliteration: āpaṇāku namra kalē
Doctrine: Unity and Humility in the Church
Original: ἐταπείνωσεν ἑαυτόν
Category: Unity and Humility
Phil 2:8 ἐταπείνωσεν ἑαυτόν. Shares the root of ταπεινοφροσύνη (2:3); Christ’s action is the pattern the church is commanded to imitate. The Odia root ନମ୍ର(ତା) used here must match the root used at 2:3 so readers perceive the intended verbal echo.
Obedient Unto Death
Approved rendering: ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆଜ୍ଞାବହ ହେଲେ
Transliteration: mṛtyu paryanta ājñābaha helē
Doctrine: The Incarnation and Self-Emptying of Christ (Kenosis)
Original: ὑπήκοος μέχρι θανάτου
Category: Incarnation
Phil 2:8 ὑπήκοος μέχρι θανάτου. Christ’s own complete, unreserved redemptive obedience to the Father’s will. Do not substitute baseline’s ବିଶ୍ୱାସର ଆଜ୍ଞାବହତା, which names faith-produced obedience in believers, not Christ’s own redemptive obedience as the incarnate Son.
Highly Exalted
Approved rendering: ଅତ୍ୟଧିକ ଉଚ୍ଚୀକୃତ କଲେ
Transliteration: atyadhika ucchīkṛta kalē
Doctrine: Lordship of Christ
Rejected alternatives: ଉଚ୍ଚ କଲେ (too weak, loses the intensive ὑπέρ- force)
Original: ὑπερύψωσεν
Category: Christology
Phil 2:9 ὑπερύψωσεν. An intensive compound found only here in the NT; must resist a flat ‘exalted’ that loses the superlative, not merely comparative, force of the Father’s vindication of the Son.
Name Above Every Name
Approved rendering: ସମସ୍ତ ନାମ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ନାମ
Transliteration: samasta nāma apekṣā śreṣṭha nāma
Doctrine: Lordship of Christ
Rejected alternatives: ଏକ ମହାନ ନାମ (flattens to ‘a great name,’ losing the divine-name allusion)
Original: τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ὑπὲρ πᾶν ὄνομα
Category: Christology
Phil 2:9 τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ὑπὲρ πᾶν ὄνομα. Understood as the divine name (YHWH) conferred on Jesus, echoing Isaiah 45:23; must not be flattened into ‘a very famous name.‘
Every Knee Bow
Approved rendering: ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଆଣ୍ଠୁ ନଇଁବ
Transliteration: pratyeka āṇṭhu naiṇba
Doctrine: Lordship of Christ
Original: πᾶν γόνυ κάμψῃ
Category: Christology
Phil 2:10 πᾶν γόνυ κάμψῃ. Bowing/prostration (daṇḍabaṭa praṇāma) before Jagannath’s image is a familiar devotional gesture; must clarify this verse names the entire cosmos’s compelled, exclusive, all-realms acknowledgment of Christ, not a devotional custom optionally extended to one revered figure among others.
Every Tongue Confess
Approved rendering: ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜିଭ ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରିବ
Transliteration: pratyeka jiva swīkāra karibē
Doctrine: Lordship of Christ
Original: πᾶσα γλῶσσα ἐξομολογήσηται
Category: Christology
Phil 2:11 πᾶσα γλῶσσα ἐξομολογήσηται. Per baseline’s Theological Consistency Rules for Romans 10:9-10, must use the established formula for confessing Christ’s Lordship (‘ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟନ୍ତି’) — never substituting ଠାକୁର for ପ୍ରଭୁ. The single most severe instance of the ଠାକୁର/Jagannath collision risk in the curriculum.
Joy Rejoice
Approved rendering: ଆନନ୍ଦ / ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିବା
Transliteration: ānanda / ānanda karibā
Doctrine: Joy in Suffering and Imprisonment
Original: χαρά / χαίρω
Category: Joy in Suffering
χαρά/χαίρω, occurring at least nine times (1:4,1:18,1:25; 2:2,2:17-18,2:28-29; 3:1; 4:1,4:4,4:10). GROUNDED REASON: ଆନନ୍ଦ is simultaneously the central term of Vedantic sat-chit-ānanda (impersonal metaphysical bliss) and of festival elation surrounding Jagannath worship (cf. baseline’s Ananda Bazaar reference). Must be taught as relational joy grounded in union with a personal, reigning Christ, sustained through — not by escaping — suffering.
Same Mind
Approved rendering: ମନୋଭାବ ରଖିବା
Transliteration: manōbhāba rakhibā
Doctrine: Unity and Humility in the Church
Rejected alternatives: ମତ ମିଳାଇବା (too weak, implies mere opinion-agreement, not shared disposition)
Original: φρονέω / τὸ αὐτὸ φρονεῖν
Category: Unity and Humility
φρονέω/τὸ αὐτὸ φρονεῖν, recurring at 2:2, 2:5, 3:15, 3:19, 4:2, 4:10. The single most doctrinally load-bearing recurring verb in the letter, linking the unity command (2:2) to Christ’s own example (2:5). Must be rendered with one consistent Odia term throughout the entire book — non-negotiable cross-reference consistency requirement.
Humility
Approved rendering: ନମ୍ରତା
Transliteration: namratā
Doctrine: Unity and Humility in the Church
Original: ταπεινοφροσύνη
Category: Unity and Humility
Phil 2:3 ταπεινοφροσύνη, echoed in ἐταπείνωσεν (2:8) and ταπεινώσεως (3:21). GROUNDED REASON: must be distinguished from (1) socially-enforced deference tied to caste hierarchy, imposed rather than voluntary, and (2) ascetic self-mortification undertaken for merit (e.g., a devotee’s vow of austerity during Jagannath festival observances). Biblical humility is voluntary, others-oriented self-lowering modeled on Christ’s own free choice.
Work Out Your Salvation
Approved rendering: ପରିତ୍ରାଣକୁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ ପରିଣତ କର
Transliteration: paritrāṇaku kāryyare pariṇata kara
Doctrine: Salvation
Original: κατεργάζεσθε … τὴν ἑαυτῶν σωτηρίαν
Category: Salvation
Phil 2:12 κατεργάζεσθε … τὴν ἑαυτῶν σωτηρίαν. GROUNDED REASON: read in isolation, risks reintroducing works-righteousness confusion resonating with the ritual-merit economy (pilgrimage, darshan, seba) documented for Jagannath devotion. MANDATORY: must always be taught paired with 2:13 (God himself at work in the believer), with a translator note clarifying believers do not generate their own salvation but live out a salvation God is working in them.
Drink Offering
Approved rendering: ବଳିଦାନର ପେୟ ଢଳାଯିବା ପରି
Transliteration: baḷidānara peya ḍhaḷā jibā pari
Doctrine: Joy in Suffering and Imprisonment
Rejected alternatives: ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ପରି ଢଳାଯିବା (direct collision with Jagannath’s daily bhoga/naivedya offering ritual)
Original: σπένδομαι
Category: Joy in Suffering
Phil 2:17 σπένδομαι. A metaphor drawn from the OT libation offering for Paul’s willingness to expend his life in gospel service, possibly unto martyrdom. Must be taught as a one-time NT metaphor for costly gospel service, not a repeatable devotional ritual.
Confidence In The Flesh
Approved rendering: ଶରୀରରେ ଭରସା
Transliteration: śarīrare bharasā
Doctrine: Righteousness by Faith versus the Law
Rejected alternatives: ଶରୀରରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ (would blur with baseline’s saving-faith term ବିଶ୍ୱାସ)
Original: πεποίθησις ἐν σαρκί
Category: Righteousness by Faith vs. Law
Phil 3:3-4 πεποίθησις ἐν σαρκί. Deliberately avoids ବିଶ୍ୱାସ (reserved for saving faith) for this negative sense, preserving Paul’s sharp antithesis between misplaced self-reliance on religious/ethnic credentials and genuine faith in Christ (3:9).
Knowing Christ
Approved rendering: ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣିବା
Transliteration: Khrīṣṭaṅku jāṇibā
Doctrine: Pressing on toward the Goal in Christ
Rejected alternatives: ଜ୍ଞାନ alone (collides with Jñāna Yoga’s liberating-knowledge path)
Original: γνῶσις / ἐπίγνωσις
Category: Pressing on Toward the Goal
Phil 3:8, 3:10 γνῶσις/ἐπίγνωσις. GROUNDED REASON: ଜ୍ଞାନ (jñāna) is a major technical term in Hindu philosophy — Jñāna Yoga, the path of liberating knowledge, is one of the classical margas to moksha, pursued through disciplined intellectual/mystical inquiry. Prefer the verbal construction; where a noun is unavoidable, always pair with a relational modifier (e.g., ‘ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ ଜ୍ଞାନ’).
Fellowship Of His Sufferings
Approved rendering: ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗର ସହଭାଗିତା
Transliteration: tāhāṅka duḥkhabhogara sahabhāgitā
Doctrine: Pressing on toward the Goal in Christ
Original: κοινωνία [τῶν] παθημάτων αὐτοῦ
Category: Pressing on Toward the Goal
Phil 3:10 κοινωνία [τῶν] παθημάτων αὐτοῦ. Shared participation in Christ’s sufferings as purposeful gospel partnership, not impersonal karmic consequence.
Conformed To His Death
Approved rendering: ତାହାଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁର ସାଦୃଶ୍ୟରେ ଗଠିତ ହେବା
Transliteration: tāhāṅka mṛtyura sādṛśyare gaṭhita hebā
Doctrine: Pressing on toward the Goal in Christ
Original: συμμορφιζόμενος τῷ θανάτῳ αὐτοῦ
Category: Pressing on Toward the Goal
Phil 3:10 συμμορφιζόμενος τῷ θανάτῳ αὐτοῦ. Shares the μορφή root with the core passage’s μορφή θεοῦ/μορφή δούλου (2:6-7); an intentional intra-letter literary echo that should be flagged explicitly in teaching.
Mature Perfect
Approved rendering: ପରିପକ୍ୱ
Transliteration: paripakva
Doctrine: Pressing on toward the Goal in Christ
Rejected alternatives: ସିଦ୍ଧ (a technical Hindu yogic/tantric term for a self-perfected being with supernatural siddhis)
Original: τέλειος
Category: Pressing on Toward the Goal
Phil 3:15 τέλειος, in deliberate paradox with Paul’s denial of already having ‘arrived’ (3:12). ସିଦ୍ଧ is a major technical term in Hindu yogic/tantric tradition denoting a self-perfected being who has attained supernatural powers through self-directed discipline — precisely the self-achieved attainment Paul denies of himself immediately beforehand. PERMANENTLY FORBIDDEN SUBSTITUTION for this curriculum: never upgrade ପରିପକ୍ୱ to ସିଦ୍ଧ.
Citizenship
Approved rendering: ନାଗରିକତା
Transliteration: nāgarikatā
Doctrine: Citizenship in Heaven
Rejected alternatives: ପ୍ରଜାପଣ (considered, less standard)
Original: πολίτευμα
Category: Citizenship in Heaven
Phil 3:20 πολίτευμα. GROUNDED REASON: Odisha has no structural Greco-Roman dual-citizenship parallel, so the civic backdrop requires explicit teaching; heavenly ନାଗରିକତା must not be heard as merely supplementing one’s earthly regional/cultural identity, when Odia regional pride is itself deeply bound up with Jagannath devotion. Heavenly citizenship must be taught as superseding, not merely adding to, every earthly identity marker.
Savior
Approved rendering: ତ୍ରାଣକର୍ତ୍ତା
Transliteration: trāṇakarttā
Doctrine: Citizenship in Heaven
Original: σωτήρ
Category: Citizenship in Heaven
Phil 3:20 σωτήρ, sharing root with baseline’s ପରିତ୍ରାଣ. Must retain exclusivity — Christ alone as Savior/Deliverer, not one protective/preserving deity-role among others (e.g., Vishnu-as-preserver in the Hindu Trimurti, or Jagannath as regional protector).
Transform The Lowly Body
Approved rendering:
Transliteration: āmbhamānaṅka namra śarīraku rūpāntarita kari tāhāṅka mahimāmaya śarīra sadṛśa karibē
Doctrine: Resurrection of Christ and Believers’ Future Hope
Original: μετασχηματίσει τὸ σῶμα τῆς ταπεινώσεως ἡμῶν
Category: Eschatology
Phil 3:21 μετασχηματίσει τὸ σῶμα τῆς ταπεινώσεως ἡμῶν σύμμορφον τῷ σώματι τῆς δόξης αὐτοῦ. Notes the recurrence of σχῆμα (2:8) and μορφή (2:6-7) roots. Must not be conflated with reincarnation into a different body, nor with Nabakalebara’s periodic ritual replacement of a sacred image’s body.
Contentment
Approved rendering: ସନ୍ତୋଷ
Transliteration: santoṣa
Doctrine: Contentment in All Circumstances
Original: αὐτάρκης / αὐτάρκεια
Category: Contentment in All Circumstances
Phil 4:11 αὐτάρκης/αὐτάρκεια. GROUNDED REASON: ସନ୍ତୋଷ (santosha) is one of the five Niyamas in Patanjali’s classical Yoga Sutras — contentment cultivated through the practitioner’s own disciplined yogic effort. Paul’s contentment is Christ-dependent, learned through hardship, not self-achieved; every occurrence must be taught paired with 4:12-13.
Learned The Secret
Approved rendering: ମୁଁ ଶିଖିଛି
Transliteration: muṅ śikhichi
Doctrine: Contentment in All Circumstances
Rejected alternatives: ଗୁପ୍ତ ବିଦ୍ୟା ଶିଖିଛି (risks tantric esoteric-initiation associations), ରହସ୍ୟ (mystery, same risk)
Original: μεμύημαι (μυέω)
Category: Contentment in All Circumstances
Phil 4:12 μεμύημαι (μυέω), drawn from Greco-Roman mystery-religion initiation vocabulary but deliberately de-technicalized here. Keep plain and experiential, avoiding all esoteric-initiation vocabulary (guru-dīkṣā, mantra-dīkṣā) prominent in Odisha’s Shakta/Tantric strands.
Strengthens Me
Approved rendering: ମୋତେ ସାମର୍ଥ୍ୟ ଦେଉଥିବା ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା
Transliteration: mote sāmarthya deuthibā Khrīṣṭaṅka dwārā
Doctrine: Contentment in All Circumstances
Rejected alternatives: ଶକ୍ତି ଦେଉଥିବା (per baseline’s Shakta-tradition caution)
Original: τῷ ἐνδυναμοῦντί με
Category: Contentment in All Circumstances
Phil 4:13 ἐνδυναμοῦντί με. For consistency with baseline’s power_of_god convention (ସାମର୍ଥ୍ୟ, never ଶକ୍ତି, to avoid Odisha’s prominent Shakta-tradition collision with Maa Samaleswari/Maa Tarini).
Fragrant Acceptable Offering
Approved rendering: ସୁଗନ୍ଧିତ, ଗ୍ରହଣୀୟ ବଳି
Transliteration: sugandhita, grahaṇīya baḷi
Doctrine: Sacrificial Giving as Gospel Partnership
Rejected alternatives: ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ (direct collision with Jagannath’s daily bhoga/naivedya mahaprasad ritual)
Original: ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας, θυσίαν δεκτήν, εὐάρεστον τῷ θεῷ
Category: Partnership in the Gospel
Phil 4:18 ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας, θυσίαν δεκτήν, εὐάρεστον τῷ θεῷ. GROUNDED REASON: risks resonance with the daily bhoga/naivedya food-offering ritual central to Jagannath worship at Puri, in which food is believed literally smelled/tasted by the deity before distribution. Must be taught as a one-time OT sacrificial metaphor for Christian financial giving, not a repeatable devotional ritual.
Medium Risk Terms
Peace
Approved rendering: ଶାନ୍ତି
Transliteration: śānti
Doctrine: Peace with God
Rejected alternatives: ମନ ଶାନ୍ତି
Original: εἰρήνη
Category: Salvation
Relational peace with God through justification. Inherited from Romans package. In Philippians occurs 1:2, 4:7, 4:9; the 4:7 ‘peace surpassing understanding’ compound is treated as its own new entry below (see peace_surpassing_understanding).
Encouragement
Approved rendering: ଉତ୍ସାହ / ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱନା
Transliteration: utsāha / sāntwanā
Doctrine: Unity and Humility in the Church
Original: παράκλησις
Category: Unity and Humility
Phil 2:1 παράκλησις — the shared encouragement/comfort believers already possess in Christ, ground of the unity appeal. Must be kept distinct from baseline’s verb ‘exhort’ (ଉତ୍ସାହିତ କରିବା, Low), which names the action of encouraging, not this noun resource already possessed.
Affection And Compassion
Approved rendering: ଅନ୍ତରର ସ୍ନେହ ଓ ଦୟା
Transliteration: antarara sneha o dayā
Doctrine: Unity and Humility in the Church
Rejected alternatives: ଅନ୍ତନାଡ଼ି ଓ ଦୟା (literal ‘bowels and mercies’)
Original: σπλάγχνα καὶ οἰκτιρμοί
Category: Unity and Humility
Phil 2:1 σπλάγχνα καὶ οἰκτιρμοί. The literal Hebraic ‘bowels’ idiom must not be translated literally into Odia per the idiom-handling rule; render by meaning as tender, gut-level compassion.
Cross
Approved rendering: କ୍ରୁଶ
Transliteration: kruśa
Doctrine: The Incarnation and Self-Emptying of Christ (Kenosis)
Original: σταυρός
Category: Incarnation
Phil 2:8, 3:18 σταυρός. Established, stable Odia Christian term with no direct religious-tradition collision, but the shame dimension must be retained in surrounding exposition, since crucifixion’s shock value is essential to why God’s exaltation response (2:9) is so dramatic.

Doctrine: Unity and Humility in the Church
Original: σύμψυχος

Transliteration: swārthapara ucchākāṅkṣā
Doctrine: Unity and Humility in the Church
Original: ἐριθεία
Category: Unity and Humility
Phil 2:3 ἐριθεία. Self-seeking rivalry/factional ambition, the opposite motive to the humility Christ modeled. No significant religious-tradition collision; primary risk is under-translation losing the contrast.
Conceit Vainglory
Approved rendering: ମିଥ୍ୟା ଗର୍ବ
Transliteration: mithyā garba
Doctrine: Unity and Humility in the Church
Rejected alternatives: ଅହଙ୍କାର (a loaded Samkhya/Vedantic ego-principle term)
Original: κενοδοξία
Category: Unity and Humility
Phil 2:3 κενοδοξία. Shares the Greek root κενός (‘empty’) with κενόω in 2:7; the hymn’s irony is that Christ emptied himself of real glory while this vice pursues glory that was never real. A footnote noting the shared root is recommended.
God At Work In You
Approved rendering:

Shares root ସେବା, flagged in baseline for collision with the hereditary, caste-linked ritual-service (seba) roles of Jagannath temple functionaries. Church deacon-service must be taught as a voluntary, congregationally-recognized office flowing from spiritual gifting, never a hereditary or caste-linked ritual duty.

Approved rendering: ସୁସମାଚାର ପ୍ରଚାରରେ ସହଭାଗିତା
Transliteration: susamācāra pracārare sahabhāgitā

Transliteration: sunnata
Doctrine: Righteousness by Faith versus the Law
Original: περιτομή
Category: Righteousness by Faith vs. Law
Phil 3:2-3, 3:5 περιτομή. A viable literary alternative ତ୍ୱକ୍ଛେଦ exists but ସୁନ୍ନତ is the commonly used Odia term. GROUNDED REASON: ସୁନ୍ନତ carries a strong contemporary association with Islamic practice in general Odia usage; teaching material must clarify this concerns the OT Abrahamic/Mosaic covenant sign, reappropriated spiritually by Paul for believers in Christ.
Suffering
Approved rendering: ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗ
Transliteration: duḥkhabhoga
Doctrine: Joy in Suffering and Imprisonment
Rejected alternatives: କଷ୍ଟ (acceptable alternative in narrative contexts)
Original: πάθημα / πάσχω
Category: Joy in Suffering
Phil 1:29-30, 3:10 πάθημα/πάσχω. Distinguish from Buddhist/Hindu duḥkha as impersonal, cyclical, karma-driven suffering inherent to existence; frame as purposeful suffering for Christ’s sake, endured in fellowship with him.
Enemies Of The Cross

Doctrine: Righteousness by Faith versus the Law
Original: ἡ κοιλία θεός
Category: Righteousness by Faith vs. Law
Phil 3:19 ἡ κοιλία θεός. Use the generic ଦେବତା (a false object of devotion), never ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, since this names a false, idolatrous object of ultimate devotion.

Whatsoever Is Pure
Approved rendering: ନିର୍ମଳ
Transliteration: nirmaḷa
Doctrine: Sanctification and Holy Living
Rejected alternatives: ପବିତ୍ର (must stay visibly distinct from baseline’s holy term)
Original: ἁγνά
Category: Contentment in All Circumstances
Phil 4:8 ἁγνά, part of the virtue list. Distinct Greek root from ἅγιος (baseline holy = ପବିତ୍ର, High); ନିର୍ମଳ recommended to keep this visibly distinct from baseline’s holiness vocabulary.

Transliteration: sahabhāgitā
Doctrine: Christian Fellowship
Rejected alternatives: ମିତ୍ରତା
Original: κοινωνία

Doctrine: Unity and Humility in the Church
Original: ἀγάπη
Category: Unity and Humility
Phil 2:2 ἀγάπη, modeled on Christ’s self-giving love (2:6-8). Established Odia Christian usage; avoid confusion with Vaishnav prema-bhakti, the devotee’s asymmetrical romantic-devotional longing toward Krishna/Jagannath.
Rubbish Dung
Approved rendering: ଆବର୍ଜନା
Transliteration: ābarjanā
Doctrine: Righteousness by Faith versus the Law
Original: σκύβαλα
Category: Righteousness by Faith vs. Law
Phil 3:8 σκύβαλα. Deliberately coarse, visceral term; translators should not soften its crudeness/force, since Paul’s point depends on the shock of counting his religious credentials as literal refuse.
Press On Pursue
Approved rendering: ଗୋଡ଼ାଇ ଚାଲିବା
Transliteration: goḍāi cālibā
Doctrine: Pressing on toward the Goal in Christ
Original: διώκω

Original: σκοπός
Category: Pressing on Toward the Goal
Phil 3:14 σκοπός. Shares root with σκοπέω (2:4, ‘looking to one’s own/others’ interests’); worth flagging the thematic link.

Original: στέφανος
Category: Joy in Suffering
