baseline TM(already in Romans translation memory, reused exactly) /NEW(proposed addition for this curriculum) - Chapters: primary chapters where the term is load-bearing (not exhaustive of every incidental occurrence)
| Term (EN) | Portuguese rendering | Risk | Status | Doctrine | Chapters | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Holy, holy, holy / holy | santo | Critical (elevated from baseline Medium in this context) | baseline TM + contextual elevation | Holiness and Majesty of God | 6 | Baseline term “santo” reused exactly; risk elevated here because Isaiah 6:3 is this curriculum’s doctrinal anchor text for God’s holiness. |
| Holy One of Israel | o Santo de Israel | Critical | NEW | Holiness and Majesty of God | 1, 5, 6, 10, 12, 17, 29-31, 37, 41, 43, 45, 47-49, 54-55, 60 | Recurring divine title unique to Isaiah; must be introduced once and reused verbatim at every occurrence. |
| glory (kevod) | glória | Medium | baseline TM | Holiness and Majesty of God | 6, 40, 60, 66 | No new collision beyond baseline; contextually central to the holiness doctrine. |
| seraphim | serafins | Medium | NEW | Holiness and Majesty of God | 6 | Guard against assimilation to Kardecist “espíritos guias” or Candomblé/Umbanda mediating spirits; teach as created worshiping beings only. |
| remnant | remanescente / resto | Medium | NEW | Holiness and Majesty of God; Judgment on Idolatry and Injustice | 1, 6, 10, 11, 37 | Teach as God’s gracious preservation of a faithful covenant people, not spiritual-evolutionary hierarchy among souls. |
| servant (of the LORD) | servo (do Senhor) | Critical | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 41-53 | Corporate (Israel) and individual (Messianic) referents both present; the individual sense culminates in ch. 53. Distinguish sharply from mediumistic “instrumento”/“servo espiritual” language in Kardecism and Candomblé/Umbanda, where humans serve as channels for spirits — this Servant is Christ himself, not a human medium channeling a message. |
| Servant Songs (general) | Cânticos do Servo | Critical | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 42, 49, 50, 52:13-53:12 | Umbrella designation for the four Servant Songs; consistent rendering required across all four occurrences. |
| Redeemer / redeem | Redentor / redimir | Critical | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant; Comfort and Restoration | 35, 41, 43-44, 47-48, 59, 63 | Must be distinguished from any notion of self-earned redemption across reincarnations (extends baseline grace/election Kardecist-merit warnings). |
| offering for sin / guilt offering (asham) | oferta pela culpa | Critical | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 53 | Highest-priority new term in this Language Package. Must NOT be rendered primarily as “expiação,” which in Brazilian Portuguese carries strong Kardecist connotations of self-earned karmic suffering across reincarnations. Requires a mandatory teaching note at every occurrence contrasting vicarious, God-appointed, once-for-all substitution with Kardecist self-directed expiação e reparação. |
| bore / carried (nasa) | levou / carregou | Critical | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 53 | Substitution verb; must render identically across 53:4, 53:11, 53:12. |
| chastisement (musar) | castigo | Critical | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 53 | Vicarious, not self-earned karmic correction; do not use “expiação” here either. See asham entry above. |
| transgressions (pesha) | transgressões | High | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 53 | Distinguish from “iniquidades” (avon) and “pecado” (chet) — three distinct Hebrew sin-terms piling up in ch. 53; do not flatten into one word. |
| iniquities (avon) | iniquidades | High | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant; Judgment on Idolatry and Injustice | 1, 53, 59 | See transgressions note above. |
| sin (chet) | pecado | Medium | baseline TM | Judgment on Idolatry and Injustice | 1, 53, 59 | Baseline term reused exactly; in ch. 53 carries Critical summary weight (v.12) as the poem’s final verdict term. |
| soul (nefesh) | vida (preferred over alma) | High | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 53 | In contexts meaning “whole embodied self/life” (not a Greek-style immaterial soul), prefer “vida” over “alma” to avoid Kardecist overtones of a discarnate spirit migrating between bodies. |
| lamb to the slaughter | cordeiro ao matadouro | Critical | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 53 | Root of NT “Lamb of God” Christology (John 1:29); render for future cross-document consistency with Gospel-of-John translation work. |
| justify (yatsdiq) | justificar | Critical | baseline TM | Salvation / The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 53 | Must carry the exact forensic weight of baseline justificação (Romans 3-5); Isaiah 53:11 is the OT seedbed of Paul’s doctrine. |
| intercession (yafgi’a) | intercessão | Critical | baseline TM | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 53 | Reuses baseline prayer_and_intercession doctrine exactly; must never be assimilated to Kardecist mediumistic communication with the dead. |
| Immanuel | Emanuel (glossed “Deus conosco”) | Critical | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 7-8 | Ties to baseline incarnation (Critical); requires explicit ontological teaching note, not merely a symbolic-comfort reading. |
| virgin (almah) | a virgem | Critical | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 7 | Retain established Christian-tradition rendering “a virgem” (Matthew 1:23/LXX parthenos); do not substitute a generic “jovem.” |
| Wonderful Counselor | Maravilhoso Conselheiro | Critical | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 9 | Established Almeida rendering; part of the fourfold throne-name set. |
| Mighty God | Deus Forte | Critical | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant; Holiness and Majesty of God | 9 | Direct deity ascription to the Messiah; must never be softened to “mighty man” or “divine hero,” especially against Kardecist “most evolved spirit” Christology. |
| Everlasting Father | Pai Eterno | Critical | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 9 | Requires a Trinitarian-precision teaching note to prevent modalist confusion with the First Person of the Trinity (baseline father, Critical). |
| Prince of Peace | Príncipe da Paz | High | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 9 | Reuses baseline peace (paz) doctrine. |
| Root/Branch of Jesse (shoresh/tsemach/choter/netzer) | Raiz de Jessé / Renovo | Critical | NEW | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | 4, 11, 53 | Must render consistently across all Branch/Root/Shoot Messianic images throughout the book. |

| lordship / Lord (kyrios-equivalent contexts) | Senhor | Critical | baseline TM | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | throughout | Baseline term reused exactly wherever applicable. |
| Messiah / anointed (capital-sense) | Messias | Critical | baseline TM | The Coming Messiah and Suffering Servant | throughout | Baseline term reused exactly; see “his anointed” (Cyrus) below for the contrastive lowercase sense. |

| idols (elil, pesel, atsab, gillulim) | ídolos / imagens esculpidas | High | NEW | Judgment on Israel’s Idolatry and Injustice | 1-2, 10, 40-46, 57 | Requires pastoral teaching note distinguishing the text’s target (rival-deity worship / channels of divine power) from Catholic devotional imagery and Candomblé/Umbanda ritual objects coexisting in the same cultural space. |
| sorceries/enchantments | feitiçarias / encantamentos | High | NEW | Judgment on Israel’s Idolatry and Injustice; Sovereignty of God over the Nations | 47 | Directly relevant to occult/astrological practice in Brazil; translate faithfully without inflaming against specific living communities. |

Notes for Phase 2 Translation Memory Update
The following 10 new Critical-risk terms and 9 new High-risk terms identified in this glossary should be submitted for human theologian review and, upon approval, appended to translation_memory.json (incrementing its version number) before any Phase 2 segment translation of Isaiah begins, per the baseline’s Translation Memory Load and Enforcement Instructions:
The oferta pela culpa entry (Isaiah 53:10) should be flagged as the single highest priority for theologian review, given its direct and previously undocumented collision with Kardecist “expiação” vocabulary — a risk not covered anywhere in the Romans baseline package but central to this Isaiah curriculum’s core passage.
Critical Risk Terms
Righteousness
Approved rendering: justiça
Transliteration: dikaiosynē (Greek) / tsedeq, tsedaqah (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Salvation
Rejected alternatives: mérito conquistado por esforço moral próprio
Original: צֶדֶק / צְדָקָה
Category: Salvation
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 53:11 and 45:8,24-25 require the same forensic, received-by-faith weight; never moral achievement or Kardecist self-earned merit across lifetimes.
Justification
Approved rendering: justificação / justificar
Transliteration: dikaiōsis (Greek) / tsadaq, hitsdiq (Hebrew, hiphil)
Doctrine: Salvation
Rejected alternatives: progresso espiritual gradual
Original: צָדַק (הִצְדִּיק)
Category: Salvation
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 53:11 (‘by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many’) is the Old Testament seedbed of Paul’s doctrine in Romans 3-5; must be rendered with the identical forensic weight.
Salvation
Approved rendering: salvação
Transliteration: sōtēria (Greek) / yeshu’ah, yasha (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Salvation
Rejected alternatives: evolução espiritual através de reencarnações sucessivas
Original: יְשׁוּעָה / יָשַׁע
Category: Salvation
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 12:2 (‘Deus é a minha salvação’) and 43:11 (‘além de mim não há salvador’) give the exclusivist OT ground for the baseline’s warning against Kardecist gradual multi-life spiritual evolution.
Holy
Approved rendering: santo
Transliteration: hagios (Greek) / qadosh (Hebrew)
Doctrine: The Holiness and Majesty of God
Rejected alternatives: puro em sentido ritual
Original: קָדוֹשׁ
Category: Sanctification
Inherited from Romans package exactly (baseline default risk Medium). RISK ELEVATED TO CRITICAL specifically at Isaiah 6:3, this curriculum’s doctrinal anchor text for God’s holiness (‘Santo, santo, santo’); the triple repetition must never be flattened, paraphrased, or reduced to devotional politeness associated with canonized saints.
Saints
Approved rendering: santos
Transliteration: hagioi (Greek) / qedoshim (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Sainthood
Rejected alternatives: santos venerados e invocados como intercessores
Inherited from Romans package exactly. No direct Isaiah occurrence in the corporate-believer sense, but retained to confirm no contradictory usage arises; do not confuse with the grammatically related but doctrinally distinct ‘Holy One of Israel’ title (qedosh Yisra’el).
Resurrection
Approved rendering: ressurreição / ressuscitar
Transliteration: anastasis (Greek) / yichyu metekha, haqits (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Resurrection Hope
Rejected alternatives: reencarnação
Original: יִחְיוּ מֵתֶיךָ / הָקִיץ
Category: Eschatology
Inherited from Romans package exactly; forbidden-substitution rule applies with maximum strictness. Isaiah 26:19 (‘your dead shall live’) is arguably the single most exposed OT verse in the entire Bible to a Kardecist reincarnation misreading. MUST use ressuscitar/reviver, NEVER reencarnação or any term suggestive of it.
Lord
Approved rendering: Senhor
Transliteration: kyrios (Greek) / Adonai, YHWH (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Lordship of Christ
Rejected alternatives: Senhor apenas em sentido devocional, sem reivindicação de senhorio total
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Applies throughout Isaiah wherever ‘Senhor’ translates YHWH or Adonai.
Son Of God
Approved rendering: Filho de Deus
Transliteration: huios theou (Greek)
Doctrine: Sonship of Christ
Rejected alternatives: filho de Deus no sentido genérico aplicado a todo crente
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Not a direct Isaiah lexical occurrence but retained as the doctrinal cross-reference anchor for Isaiah 9:6’s ‘Deus Forte’/‘Pai Eterno’ Messianic titles, which assert the same unique divine Sonship.
Incarnation
Approved rendering: encarnação
Transliteration: ho logos sarx egeneto (Greek) / yullad-lanu (Hebrew, Immanuel typology)
Doctrine: The Immanuel Prophecy and the Incarnation
Rejected alternatives: encarnação como uma entre muitas vidas sucessivas de um espírito (sentido espírita)
Original: יֻלַּד־לָנוּ (“a child is born to us”) / Immanuel typology
Category: Christology
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 7:14 (Immanuel) and 9:6 (‘a child is born to us’) are the OT anticipatory texts; every occurrence must repeat the mandatory Kardecist-distinguishing teaching note, not merely inherit it silently.
Messiah
Approved rendering: Messias
Transliteration: Christos (Greek) / mashiach (Hebrew)
Doctrine: The Messianic Promise
Rejected alternatives: um espírito superior ou mais evoluído (leitura espírita de Jesus como ‘o mais evoluído dos espíritos’)
Original: מָשִׁיחַ
Category: Christology
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 9, 11, 42, 49-53, and 61 develop this figure at length; must never be confused with the lowercase ‘seu ungido’ (Cyrus, 45:1) below, which shares the Hebrew root but carries an entirely different theological weight.
Intercession
Approved rendering: intercessão / intercedeu
Transliteration: hyperentynchanei, enteuxis (Greek) / yafgi’a (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Prayer and Intercession
Rejected alternatives: comunicação com espíritos de mortos por meio de médiuns, intercessão exclusiva dos santos e de Maria
Original: יַפְגִּיעַ
Category: Faith
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 53:12’s Servant intercedes for transgressors beyond his death — directly anticipates Romans 8:26-27,34 and must never be assimilated to Kardecist mediumistic communication with the dead.
Jesus
Approved rendering: Jesus
Transliteration: Iēsous (Greek) / Yeshua (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Lordship of Christ
Inherited from Romans package exactly.
God
Approved rendering: Deus
Transliteration: theos (Greek) / Elohim, YHWH (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Deity of Christ
Inherited from Romans package exactly.

Approved rendering: Espírito Santo
Transliteration: pneuma hagion (Greek) / ruach YHWH, ruach qodsho (Hebrew)
Doctrine: The Holy Spirit in Isaiah
Rejected alternatives: espíritos guias ou mentores espirituais (espiritismo), orixás e guias (Candomblé/Umbanda)
Original: רוּחַ יְהוָה / רוּחַ קָדְשׁוֹ
Category: God
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 63:10-11’s explicit ‘his Holy Spirit’ is the most theologically load-bearing OT occurrence of this exact phrase and must match every Espírito Santo occurrence in the Romans documents without deviation.
Father
Approved rendering: Pai
Transliteration: patēr (Greek) / av (Hebrew)
Doctrine: The Fatherhood of God
Original: אָב
Category: God
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 63:16 and 64:8 are the OT anchor for the intimate divine fatherhood fully unfolded in Romans 8’s ‘Abba, Pai.‘
Imputed Righteousness
Approved rendering: justiça imputada
Transliteration: elogisthē autō eis dikaiosynēn (Greek)
Doctrine: Justification Accomplished by the Servant
Rejected alternatives: justiça infundida (categoria tridentina), justiça conquistada por mérito próprio ao longo de vidas sucessivas
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 53:11’s ‘by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many’ is the Old Testament conceptual seedbed of this credited-righteousness doctrine.
Holy One Of Israel
Approved rendering: o Santo de Israel
Transliteration: qedosh Yisra’el
Doctrine: The Holy One of Israel (Divine Title)

Requires a dedicated teaching note on the corporate/individual referent question at each of the four Servant Songs (42; 49; 50; 52:13-53:12). Must be sharply distinguished from Kardecist/Candomblé/Umbanda ‘instrumento,’ ‘médium,’ ‘cavalo,’ or ‘aparelho’ vocabulary.

Doctrine: Substitutionary Atonement
Rejected alternatives: expiação (rejected as primary rendering due to Kardecist self-earned karmic-suffering connotations)
Original: אָשָׁם
Category: Salvation
NEW — the single highest-priority new doctrinal term in this entire Language Package. Isaiah 53:10. MUST NOT be rendered primarily as ‘expiação.’ Mandatory teaching note at every occurrence contrasting vicarious, once-for-all, God-appointed substitution with Kardecist self-earned expiação e reparação across reincarnations.

Approved rendering: levou / carregou
Transliteration: nasa
Doctrine: Substitutionary Atonement
Rejected alternatives: compartilhou / simpatizou com (softened, non-substitutionary renderings)

Transliteration: musar
Doctrine: Substitutionary Atonement
Rejected alternatives: expiação (rejected for the same reason as offering_for_sin)
Original: מוּסָר

Transliteration: almah
Doctrine: The Immanuel Prophecy and the Incarnation
Rejected alternatives: a jovem (generic, rejected as the primary rendering)
Original: עַלְמָה
Category: Christology

Transliteration: pele yo’ets

Rejected alternatives: homem forte / herói divino / espírito mais evoluído (rejected softenings)

Approved rendering: Pai Eterno
Transliteration: avi-ad
Doctrine: The Deity of the Coming Messiah
Original: אֲבִי־עַד
Category: Christology
NEW. Isaiah 9:6. Requires a mandatory translator/teaching note clarifying this title does not imply the Son IS the First Person of the Trinity.

Original: שֶׂה לַטֶּבַח

My Servant Shall Be Exalted
Approved rendering: o meu servo será exaltado

Approved rendering: os teus mortos viverão / ressuscitarão
Transliteration: yichyu metekha
Doctrine: Resurrection Hope
Rejected alternatives: reencarnarão (absolutely forbidden)
NEW occurrence-specific entry extending the baseline resurrection forbidden-substitution rule. Isaiah 26:19 requires its own dedicated teaching note at this exact verse, not merely reliance on the general baseline rule.
High Risk Terms
Gospel
Approved rendering: evangelho
Transliteration: euangelion (Greek NT) / basar, besorah, mevasser (Hebrew OT root)
Doctrine: Gospel
Rejected alternatives: mensagem de evolução moral (Kardecist ethical-progress framing)
Original: בָּשַׂר (בְּשׂוֹרָה)
Category: Salvation
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 40:9, 52:7, and 61:1 are the OT root-texts (mevasser, ‘herald of good news’) quoted in Romans 10:15 and Luke 4:18; render with visible continuity to ‘evangelho’/‘boas novas’ so the Kardecist ‘O Evangelho Segundo o Espiritismo’ collision already documented in the baseline is confronted consistently across both books.
Grace
Approved rendering: graça
Transliteration: charis (Greek) / chen, chesed, chinnam (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Grace
Rejected alternatives: mérito espiritual acumulado ao longo de vidas sucessivas
Original: חִנָּם (“without price”)
Category: Salvation
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 55:1 (‘sem dinheiro e sem preço’) and 65:1 (‘fui buscado pelos que não perguntavam por mim,’ quoted Romans 10:20) reinforce the baseline warning against Kardecist merit accumulated across reincarnations.
Faith
Approved rendering: fé
Transliteration: pistis (Greek) / aman, he’emin (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Faith
Rejected alternatives: convicção espírita, fé genérica em forças espirituais
Original: אָמַן / הֶאֱמִין

Approved rendering: chamado
Transliteration: klēsis (Greek)
Doctrine: Divine Calling
Rejected alternatives: vocação (narrow sense of a call to priesthood or religious life)
Inherited from Romans package exactly.

Approved rendering: santificação
Transliteration: hagiasmos (Greek)
Doctrine: Sanctification
Rejected alternatives: purificação cármica ao longo de reencarnações (leitura espírita)

Law
Approved rendering: lei
Transliteration: nomos (Greek) / torah (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Fulfillment of Prophecy
Original: תּוֹרָה
Category: Covenant
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 2:3 (‘the law shall go forth from Zion’) and 8:20; distinguish from the Kardecist ‘lei de causa e efeito.‘
Covenant
Approved rendering: aliança
Transliteration: diathēkē (Greek) / berit (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Davidic Covenant
Rejected alternatives: contrato legal
Original: בְּרִית
Category: Covenant
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Used positively (54:10; 55:3; 61:8) and ironically (‘aliança com a morte,’ 28:15,18) — retain ‘aliança’ even in the negative use, since the irony depends on the same covenant-word.
Election
Approved rendering: eleição
Transliteration: eklogē (Greek) / bachar (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Effectual Calling
Rejected alternatives: mérito conquistado ao longo de reencarnações
Original: בָּחַר
Category: Salvation
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 41:8-9, 42:1, 49:1,5 (‘formou-me antes do nascimento para ser seu servo’) establish the Servant’s and Israel’s calling as intrinsic to existence, not earned.
Providence
Approved rendering: providência
Transliteration: pronoia (Greek) / etsah, machashavah (Hebrew)
Doctrine: Providence
Rejected alternatives: lei de causa e efeito espírita (regência cármica das reencarnações)
Original: עֵצָה / מַחֲשָׁבָה
Category: God
Inherited from Romans package exactly. Isaiah 10 (Assyria as ‘the rod of my anger’) and 45 (Cyrus as ‘seu ungido’) extend this doctrine into explicit pagan-empire instrumentality, requiring a teaching note wherever a ruler is called God’s instrument.
Transgressions
Approved rendering: transgressões
Transliteration: pesha
Doctrine: Sin as Relational Separation from God
Original: פֶּשַׁע
Category: Sin
NEW. Isaiah 53:5. Must remain distinguishable from ‘iniquidades’ (avon) and ‘pecado’ (chet) — three distinct Hebrew sin-terms stacked in Isaiah 53.

Transliteration: sar-shalom
Doctrine: The Messianic Promise
Original: שַׂר־שָׁלוֹם

His Anointed Cyrus
Approved rendering: seu ungido
Transliteration: meshicho
Doctrine: The Sovereignty of God over the Nations
Rejected alternatives: o Messias (categorically rejected — different referent entirely)
Original: מְשִׁיחוֹ
Category: Christology
NEW. Isaiah 45:1. Shares its Hebrew root with ‘Messias’ but must be clearly and consistently distinguished from the baseline’s capitalized ‘Messias’ (Critical). Mandatory disambiguating footnote required at first occurrence.
Soul Nefesh
Approved rendering: vida (preferido a “alma”)
Transliteration: nefesh
Doctrine: Substitutionary Atonement
Rejected alternatives: alma (rejected as primary rendering in this specific sense)
Original: נֶפֶשׁ
Category: Salvation
NEW. Isaiah 53:10,12. Where nefesh means the whole embodied self/life, prefer ‘vida’ over ‘alma’ to avoid Kardecist overtones of a discarnate spirit migrating between bodies.
Redeemer Comes To Zion
Approved rendering: virá a Sião um Redentor
Transliteration: u-va le-Tsiyon go’el
Doctrine: Redemption by the Divine Redeemer
NEW extension of redeemer_redeem. Isaiah 59:20, directly quoted in Romans 11:26; must match that document’s rendering exactly.

Doctrine: Resurrection Hope
Original: בִּלַּע הַמָּוֶת לָנֶצַח

Category: Eschatology
NEW. Isaiah 65:17; 66:22, quoted 2 Peter 3:13 and Revelation 21:1. Render identically at both occurrences; must not be taught through a Kardecist progressive planetary-evolution framework.

Doctrine: Judgment on Idolatry
Original: אֱלִיל / פֶּסֶל / עָצָב / גִּלּוּלִים
Category: Sin
NEW. Isaiah 2:8; 44:9-20; 46:1-7; 57:5-13. Requires a mandatory pastoral teaching note distinguishing the text’s actual target (objects venerated as rival deities or channels of divine power) from Catholic devotional imagery and Candomblé/Umbanda ritual objects.

Approved rendering: feitiçarias / encantamentos
Transliteration: keshafim / chavarim

Day Star Son Of Dawn
Approved rendering: estrela da manhã, filho da alva
Transliteration: helel ben-shachar
Doctrine: The Sovereignty of God over the Nations
Rejected alternatives: Lúcifer (rejected as primary rendering, per modern Almeida practice)
Original: הֵילֵל בֶּן־שָׁחַר
Category: Eschatology
NEW. Isaiah 14:12. Do NOT use ‘Lúcifer’ as the primary rendering; risks confusing the taunt-song’s literal referent (a pagan Babylonian king) with later typological Christian application.
I Was Ready To Be Sought
Approved rendering: fui buscado pelos que não perguntavam por mim
Transliteration: nidrashti le-lo sha’alu
Doctrine: Salvation Extended to the Nations
NEW. Isaiah 65:1, quoted Romans 10:20. Must match that document’s rendering for cross-document consistency.
