Doctrine Analysis
11 Doctrine Analysis — Mark 1–16 (English → Malayalam)
Purpose and Scope
This document is the full-book doctrine matrix for the Mark curriculum, required by PRD Phase 1 Step 4 (doctrine identification) and Step 5 (doctrine-to-chapter mapping). It is deliberately consistent with assets/doctrine_risk_registry.json: the same 33 doctrines, the same risk tiers, and the same review routing appear here without alteration. This document adds the chapter-by-chapter coverage view the registry does not itself provide, so that every chapter of Mark 1–16 is demonstrably accounted for — either as the primary home of a doctrine or as a chapter that activates a doctrine documented elsewhere in the book.
The eight curriculum-named doctrines (Jesus as the Suffering Servant and Son of God; The Kingdom of God Breaking In; Faith and Discipleship amid Fear; The Necessity of the Cross; Servanthood versus Worldly Greatness; The Messianic Secret; Jesus’ Authority over Sickness, Sin, and Nature; The Ransom for Many) correspond to registry entries sonship_and_deity_of_christ + son_of_man_christology, kingdom_of_god_breaking_in + mystery_of_the_kingdom, faith_and_discipleship_amid_fear, necessity_of_the_cross + discipleship_and_self_denial, servanthood_versus_worldly_greatness + lordship_versus_domination, messianic_secret, authority_over_sickness_sin_and_nature + exorcism_and_victory_over_the_demonic, and suffering_servant_and_ransom respectively. All other registry doctrines are supporting/surrounding doctrines required for full-book coverage per the PRD mandate.
Full Doctrine Matrix (33 Doctrines, Full Book)
| # | Doctrine | Supporting Passages (Mark) | Risk Level | Translation Risk | Review Routing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Gospel of Jesus Christ | 1:1, 1:14-15, 8:35, 10:29, 13:10, 14:9, 16:15 | High | Settled vocabulary (സുവിശേഷം); risk is AI paraphrase drift and inconsistent rendering of Mark 1:1 (programmatic thesis) across documents. | Human theologian |
| 2 | Jesus as the Suffering Servant and Son of God (Sonship and Deity of Christ) | 1:1, 1:11, 3:11, 5:7, 9:7, 15:39 | Critical | ദൈവപുത്രന് required, never ദേവപുത്രന്; 15:39 Gentile confession forms inclusio with 1:1 and reinforces internal Kerala caste-heritage teaching point. | Human theologian |
| 3 | Son of Man Christology | 2:10, 2:28, 8:31, 8:38, 9:9, 9:31, 10:33, 10:45, 13:26, 14:21, 14:41, 14:62 | Critical | Highest-frequency Critical term in the book; no competing Malayalam usage but requires strict cross-occurrence consistency to preserve the Messianic Secret’s christological paradox. | Human theologian |
| 4 | The Ransom for Many (Suffering Servant and Ransom) | 10:45, 14:24, 15:34 | Critical | മറുവില must retain “price paid to free a captive” force; …ക്കു പകരം must retain substitutionary ἀντί force; highest-priority atonement term in the curriculum. | Human theologian |
| 5 | The Kingdom of God Breaking In | 1:15, 4:26-32, 9:1, 10:14-15, 14:25 | High | ἤγγικεν must carry both imminent and already-arriving force; must not collapse to future-only or fully-realized reading. | Human theologian |
| 6 | Mystery of the Kingdom | 4:11-12, 4:33-34 | High | രഹസ്യം risks being heard as tantric/occult privileged initiation; kingdom’s mystery is disclosed to all who respond in faith. | Human theologian |
| 7 | The Messianic Secret | 1:25, 1:34, 1:44, 3:12, 5:43, 7:36, 8:30, 9:9 | High | Requires one consistent verb-family (ശാസിക്കുക / കര്ശനമായി കല്പ്പിക്കുക) across 8 occurrences; pattern is untrackable if inconsistently rendered. | Human theologian |
| 8 | The Necessity of the Cross | 8:31, 8:34, 9:31, 10:33-34, 15:13-27 | Critical | No single Malayalam lexical equivalent to δεῖ; necessity construction must read as God’s determined plan, not fatalism (avoid വിധി-adjacent phrasing). | Human theologian |
| 9 | Discipleship and Self-Denial | 8:34-38, 10:21, 10:28-31 | High | ”Take up his cross” must not be domesticated into a generic hardship idiom; must retain reference to costly, potentially fatal discipleship. | Human theologian |
| 10 | Faith and Discipleship amid Fear | 4:40, 5:36, 6:50, 9:23-24, 10:52 | Medium | Established വിശ്വാസം vocabulary; preserve the pastoral nuance that genuine faith may coexist with doubt (9:24). | Native speaker review |
| 11 | Servanthood versus Worldly Greatness | 9:33-37, 10:35-45 | High | ദാസന് carries real Kerala bonded/lower-caste agricultural labor history; must be read as Christ’s voluntary self-description, never as endorsement of historical servitude structures. | Human theologian |
| 12 | Lordship versus Worldly Domination | 10:42 | High | κατακυριεύω shares its root with കര്ത്താവ് (Christ’s exclusive saving Lordship, Critical); negative domineering sense must be clearly separated from Christ’s positive Lordship. | Human theologian |
| 13 | Jesus’ Authority over Sickness, Sin, and Nature | 1:22-27, 2:1-12, 4:35-41, 5:1-43 | High | ἐξουσία (delegated legitimate right) must be kept distinct from ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശക്തി (raw capability); conflating blurs the specific claim of recognized divine authority. | Human theologian |
| 14 | Exorcism and Victory over the Demonic | 1:23-27, 3:22-27, 5:1-20, 7:24-30, 9:14-29 | High | ഭൂതം is Kerala’s ordinary folk-belief “ghost” term governed by local ritual specialists; must be anchored to Mark’s claim of a personal evil spirit under Christ’s total, decisive authority, not resolved by ritual technique. | Human theologian |
| 15 | Forgiveness of Sins | 2:1-12 | High | ക്ഷമിക്കുക (simple pardon) must not be conflated with the fuller forensic നീതീകരണം (justification); both belong to the Salvation doctrine family without being interchangeable. | Human theologian |
| 16 | Repentance and the Call to Turn | 1:4, 1:15, 6:12 | Medium | Established മാനസാന്തരം vocabulary; must retain genuine inward and behavioral turning, not mere emotional regret. | Native speaker review |
| 17 | Sabbath and the Law | 2:23-28, 3:1-6 | Medium | Jesus’ Sabbath authority is a specific claim over Mosaic law’s application, not a general critique of religious law-keeping. | Native speaker review |
| 18 | Heart Purity versus Ritual Defilement | 7:1-23 | Medium | Relocates impurity from ritual observance to internal moral condition; Corban example (7:11) requires mandatory translator note distinguishing it from കുർബാന (Eucharist). | Native speaker review |
| 19 | The Transfiguration and the Unveiled Glory of Christ | 9:2-8 | Critical | Must never share vocabulary with a Hindu avatar-style repeatable divine descent; this is a unique, once-for-all unveiling of glory the eternal Son already possesses. | Human theologian |
| 20 | Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit | 3:28-30 | Critical | Gravest warning in the Gospel; compound term must not soften into ordinary “disrespect” — willful, informed rejection of divine action must remain unmistakable. | Human theologian |
| 21 | Effectual Calling and Election | 13:20, 13:22, 13:27 | High | Must never suggest impersonal fate/karma (per baseline caution against വിധി/തലയെഴുത്ത്), especially within apocalyptic discourse where fatalistic readings are an ever-present risk. | Human theologian |
| 22 | Resurrection Hope and the Life to Come | 9:9-10, 9:31, 10:17-31, 12:18-27, 16:6 | Critical | ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പ്പ് never പുനര്ജന്മം; Mark 12’s Sadducee debate affirms bodily resurrection; 10:17’s “eternal life” must not be answered as attainable by human achievement. | Human theologian |
| 23 | Final Judgment and Gehenna | 9:43-48 | High | നരകം is also the standard Hindu cosmological term for a hell-realm within cyclical, karma-purging rebirth; requires a translator note distinguishing final, non-cyclical judgment. | Human theologian |
| 24 | Eschatological Watchfulness | 13:32-37 | Medium | Established, low-ambiguity vigilance vocabulary; practical outworking of the kingdom’s “not yet” pole. | Native speaker review |
| 25 | Universal Scope of the Gospel and Mission | 13:10, 15:39, 16:15 | High | Ties to the baseline’s documented Kerala internal caste-heritage matter (Syrian Christian/Dalit-convert stratification); 15:39’s Gentile confession reinforces this theme. | Human theologian |
| 26 | The Greatest Commandment: Love of God and Neighbor | 12:28-34 | Medium | സ്നേഹം is standard warm vocabulary across registers; clarify ἀγάπη’s committed, willed sense distinct from purely affectionate/romantic usage. | Native speaker review |
| 27 | The New Covenant and the Blood of Christ | 14:22-25 | High | Grounds the Ransom-for-Many doctrine in explicit OT covenant categories; individual vocabulary (ഉടമ്പടി, രക്തം) is low-to-medium risk but the compound doctrinal claim needs careful catechetical framing. | Human theologian |
| 28 | Gethsemane and Submission to the Father’s Will | 14:32-36 | High | Only Gospel occurrence of “Abba” on Jesus’ own lips; must be distinguished from, without contradicting, the baseline’s Romans 8:15 Spirit-in-believers nuance. | Human theologian |
| 29 | The Passion and Death of Christ | 15:1-39 | Critical | Highest concentration of Critical terms in the book (crucifixion vocabulary, preserved Aramaic cry of dereliction, centurion’s Son-of-God confession); temple curtain’s tearing must connect to the Ransom doctrine’s result. | Human theologian |
| 30 | The Great Commission and the Resurrection Witness | 16:1-8, 16:15-20 | Medium | ”All creation” (സൃഷ്ടി) is shared Hindu cosmological vocabulary but the only natural Malayalam term; follow standard editorial practice for the longer ending (16:9-20) with a bracketed textual note. | Native speaker review |
| 31 | Apostleship and the Sending of the Twelve | 3:13-19, 6:7-13, 6:30 | Low | അപ്പോസ്തലന് is a direct Greek/Syriac transliteration with no competing translated form; one of the lowest-ambiguity terms in the glossary. | Automated review |
| 32 | Compassion and Care for the Crowds | 6:34-44, 8:1-10 | Low | മനസ്സലിവ് is standard, low-ambiguity Malayalam vocabulary; grounds the nature-miracles in pastoral character. | Automated review |
| 33 | Parables and the Teaching Ministry of Jesus | 1:22, 4:1-34, 12:1-12 | Low | ഉപമ is established, low-ambiguity Malayalam literary/biblical term. | Automated review |
Risk Summary (matches doctrine_risk_registry.json exactly): Critical: 8 · High: 15 · Medium: 7 · Low: 3 · Total: 33 · Requiring theologian review: 23 · Requiring native speaker review: 7 · Automated only: 3.
Chapter-by-Chapter Coverage Map (Full-Book Mandate)
Every chapter of Mark is listed below with the doctrine(s) it activates. Where a chapter contributes no doctrine beyond one already fully documented at another chapter, this is stated explicitly rather than silently omitted.

| 10 | Gospel of Jesus Christ (10:29); Son of Man Christology (10:33, 10:45); Ransom for Many (10:45); Kingdom of God Breaking In (10:14-15); Necessity of the Cross (10:33-34); Discipleship and Self-Denial (10:21, 10:28-31); Faith amid Fear (10:52); Servanthood versus Worldly Greatness (10:35-45); Lordship versus Domination (10:42); Resurrection Hope (10:17-31) | Core-passage chapter (10:35-45); highest cross-doctrine concentration in the book. |
| 11 | (No dedicated registry entry; chapter reviewed explicitly) | Mark 11 (triumphal entry/Hosanna, cursing of the fig tree, temple cleansing, questioning of Jesus’ authority 11:27-33) activates the already-documented Kingdom of God Breaking In doctrine (public messianic acclamation) and Authority over Sickness, Sin, and Nature doctrine (the same ἐξουσία root challenged by the temple authorities as in 1:22-27, 2:1-12). No new Critical/High doctrine is introduced; Hosanna (ഹോശന്നാ) is a Low-risk established transliteration per the Core Glossary. Reviewed and confirmed — not silently omitted. |
| 12 | Resurrection Hope (12:18-27); Greatest Commandment (12:28-34); Parables (12:1-12) | Reviewed; no new doctrine beyond those documented. |
| 13 | Gospel of Jesus Christ (13:10); Son of Man Christology (13:26); Effectual Calling and Election (13:20, 13:22, 13:27); Eschatological Watchfulness (13:32-37); Universal Scope of the Gospel and Mission (13:10) | Reviewed; no new doctrine beyond those documented. |
| 14 | Son of Man Christology (14:21, 14:41, 14:62); Gospel of Jesus Christ (14:9); Kingdom of God Breaking In (14:25); Necessity of the Cross (background to 14:41-42); New Covenant and Blood of Christ (14:22-25); Gethsemane and Submission (14:32-36); Blasphemy (14:64, via 3:28-30 doctrine’s Sanhedrin echo) | Reviewed; no new doctrine beyond those documented; 14:64’s high-priest charge of blasphemy is taught as the doctrine’s climactic narrative instance, not a separate doctrine. |
| 15 | Ransom for Many (15:34); Son of Man Christology (background); Necessity of the Cross (15:13-27); Sonship and Deity of Christ (15:39); Universal Scope of the Gospel and Mission (15:39); Passion and Death of Christ (15:1-39) | Reviewed in full; second-densest chapter alongside ch.1 and ch.9/10. |

Conclusion: All 16 chapters of Mark are accounted for. Fourteen chapters host at least one dedicated registry doctrine directly; Chapter 11 is explicitly reviewed and confirmed to activate two already-documented doctrines without introducing a new Critical/High risk item, per the full-book coverage mandate.
This document is the Mark-curriculum companion to assets/doctrine_risk_registry.json and must not be used to alter its risk tiers or routing; it exists solely to demonstrate and document full-book chapter coverage for Phase 1 Steps 4–5.
Critical Risk Doctrines
Jesus as the Suffering Servant and Son of God
Malayalam name: ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പുത്രത്വവും ദൈവത്വവും
Key terms: Son of God, beloved Son, Son of Man
Review routing: Human theologian
ദൈവപുത്രന് required; never ദേവപുത്രന്. Forms a deliberate inclusio between 1:1 and the Gentile centurion’s confession at 15:39; this Gentile-sourced confession reinforces the baseline’s documented Kerala internal caste-heritage teaching point (the confession comes from a social outsider, not an insider of religious status).
Son of Man Christology
Malayalam name: മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് എന്ന ക്രിസ്തുനാമം
Key terms: Son of Man
Review routing: Human theologian
Mark’s dominant title, fusing Daniel 7’s exalted figure with a suffering servant. മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് has no competing common Malayalam usage (low lexical risk) but is the highest-frequency Critical term in the book, and functions as the primary vehicle of the Messianic Secret across twelve occurrences; inconsistent rendering would obscure the deliberate christological paradox Mark builds through the narrative.
The Ransom for Many
Malayalam name: കഷ്ടമനുഭവിക്കുന്ന ദാസനും മറുവിലയും
Key terms: ransom, for many, serve, give his life
Review routing: Human theologian
മറുവില must retain the specific ‘price paid to free a captive’ sense and never soften into generic sacrifice/gift language; the Isaiah 53 ‘many’ echo (അനേകര്ക്കു പകരം) must preserve the substitutionary ἀντί force. This is the single highest-priority atonement term in the curriculum and requires theologian review at every occurrence.
The Necessity of the Cross
Malayalam name: ക്രൂശിന്റെ ആവശ്യകത
Key terms: must suffer, cross, take up his cross, crucify
Review routing: Human theologian
Malayalam has no single lexical equivalent to δεῖ (‘it is necessary’) and must convey it through a necessity verb construction; this construction must read as God’s own determined plan, not impersonal fate — the same fatalism concern the baseline documents for providence/election (avoid any phrasing recalling വിധി).
The Transfiguration and the Unveiled Glory of Christ
Malayalam name: ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ രൂപാന്തരീകരണവും വെളിപ്പെടുന്ന മഹത്വവും
Key terms: transfigured, beloved Son, glory, cloud
Review routing: Human theologian
Must never be framed as, or share vocabulary with, a Hindu avatar-style repeatable divine descent/manifestation, per the baseline’s incarnation caution regarding അവതാരം; this is a unique, once-for-all unveiling of glory the eternal Son already possesses, not a new assumption of divine status.
Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit
Malayalam name: പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെതിരെയുള്ള ദൈവദൂഷണം
Key terms: blasphemy, unforgivable sin, Holy Spirit
Review routing: Human theologian
The gravest warning in the Gospel; the Malayalam compound must not be softened into ordinary ‘disrespect’ or ‘insult’ — the unforgivable-sin doctrinal weight (willful, informed rejection of unmistakably divine action) must remain unmistakable.
Resurrection Hope and the Life to Come
Malayalam name: ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പ്പിന്റെ പ്രത്യാശ
Key terms: resurrection, eternal life, raised
Review routing: Human theologian
ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പ്പ് (never പുനര്ജന്മം) per baseline; Mark 12’s debate with the Sadducees explicitly affirms bodily resurrection against denial of an afterlife, and 10:17’s ‘eternal life’ question must not be answered, within the narrative’s own logic, as attainable by human achievement.
The Passion and Death of Christ
Malayalam name: ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പീഡാനുഭവവും മരണവും
Key terms: crucify, King of the Jews, Eloi Eloi lama sabachthani, temple curtain torn, Son of God
Review routing: Human theologian
Contains the highest concentration of Critical terms in the book (crucifixion vocabulary, the preserved Aramaic cry of dereliction, and the centurion’s climactic Son-of-God confession); the temple curtain’s tearing must be explicitly connected in teaching notes to the Ransom doctrine’s result — access to God opened by Christ’s death, not merely a price paid in isolation.
High Risk Doctrines
Gospel of Jesus Christ
Malayalam name: യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷം
Key terms: gospel, good news, Son of God
Review routing: Human theologian
Vocabulary is settled and unambiguous (സുവിശേഷം), but Mark 1:1 is the book’s programmatic thesis, structurally parallel to Romans 1:16-17, and must be rendered identically across all curriculum documents; the operative risk is AI-generated paraphrase drift, not competing religious vocabulary.
The Kingdom of God Breaking In
Malayalam name: ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ആഗമനം
Key terms: kingdom of God, has come near, is at hand
Review routing: Human theologian
The perfect-tense ἤγγικεν must carry both ‘imminent’ and ‘already arriving’ force; a softened future-only rendering would blunt the inaugurated-eschatology claim central to this named curriculum doctrine, while an over-realized rendering would blunt the still-future consummation sustained through ch.13.
Mystery of the Kingdom
Malayalam name: ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ രഹസ്യം
Key terms: mystery, parable, secret
Review routing: Human theologian
രഹസ്യം risks being heard through Kerala’s tantric/occult ‘hidden knowledge’ traditions as privileged esoteric initiation; the kingdom’s mystery is disclosed through Jesus’ teaching to all who respond in faith, not withheld from a spiritual elite.
The Messianic Secret
Malayalam name: മിശിഹൈക രഹസ്യം
Key terms: rebuke, silence, strictly charged, tell no one
Review routing: Human theologian
A literary-theological pattern spanning the whole book requiring a single, recognizably consistent Malayalam verb-family (ശാസിക്കുക / കര്ശനമായി കല്പ്പിക്കുക) across at least eight occurrences; inconsistent rendering across curriculum documents would make the pattern untrackable for Malayalam students even though no single occurrence carries syncretism risk on its own.
Discipleship and Self-Denial
Malayalam name: ശിഷ്യത്വവും ആത്മത്യാഗവും
Key terms: deny himself, take up his cross, lose his life, follow me
Review routing: Human theologian
‘Take up his cross’ (ക്രൂശ് ഏറ്റെടുക്കുക) must not be domesticated into a generic Malayalam idiom for ‘hardship’ or ‘burden,’ which would lose its specific reference to costly, potentially fatal discipleship modeled on Christ’s own literal death.
Servanthood versus Worldly Greatness
Malayalam name: ശുശ്രൂഷയും ലോകമഹത്വവും
Key terms: servant, slave, great, first, last
Review routing: Human theologian
ദാസന് (slave) carries real Kerala social-historical weight from the region’s landlord-era bonded/lower-caste agricultural labor system; the term must be read as Christ’s own voluntary self-description of costly self-giving, modeled by him first, never as scriptural endorsement of historical caste-servitude structures.
Lordship versus Worldly Domination
Malayalam name: ദുരുപയോഗിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന കര്ത്തൃത്വവും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ യഥാര്ത്ഥ കര്ത്തൃത്വവും
Key terms: lord it over, exercise authority, rulers of the Gentiles
Review routing: Human theologian
κατακυριεύω shares its root with കര്ത്താവ് (Lord, the baseline’s Critical term for Christ’s exclusive saving Lordship); Malayalam renderings must clearly separate this negative, domineering sense of worldly rulers from Christ’s own positive saving Lordship so shared vocabulary does not blur the two.
Jesus’ Authority over Sickness, Sin, and Nature
Malayalam name: രോഗത്തിനും പാപത്തിനും പ്രകൃതിക്കും മേലുള്ള അധികാരം
Key terms: authority, power, forgive sins, calm the storm, heal
Review routing: Human theologian
ἐξουσία (delegated legitimate right) must be kept distinct in translation from ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശക്തി (the baseline’s raw-capability term); conflating the two would blur the specific claim that Jesus’ authority is a recognized divine right, not merely superior force.
Exorcism and Victory over the Demonic
Malayalam name: ഭൂതബാധയ്ക്കുമേലുള്ള ജയം
Key terms: unclean spirit, demon, Legion, Satan, Beelzebul
Review routing: Human theologian
ഭൂതം is the ordinary Malayalam word for a folk-belief ‘ghost’ governed by ritual specialists in Kerala’s local exorcism traditions, some with roots adjacent to folk-Hindu practice; this doctrine must be anchored to Mark’s specific claim of a personal evil spirit under Christ’s total, decisive authority, not a generic folk-possession narrative resolved by ritual technique.
Forgiveness of Sins
Malayalam name: പാപമോചനം
Key terms: forgive, sin, authority to forgive
Review routing: Human theologian
ക്ഷമിക്കുക (simple pardon of a sin-debt) must not be conflated with the baseline’s fuller forensic നീതീകരണം (justification); Mark pairs the invisible claim of forgiveness with a visible healing sign, and both terms belong to the same Salvation doctrine family without being interchangeable.
Effectual Calling and Election
Malayalam name: ഫലപ്രദമായ വിളിയും തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പും
Key terms: the elect, chosen, called
Review routing: Human theologian
Parallel to the baseline’s election doctrine; must never be rendered with vocabulary suggesting impersonal fate or karma-determined destiny (per the baseline’s caution against വിധി/തലയെഴുത്ത്), especially within this apocalyptic discourse where fatalistic readings are an ever-present risk.
Final Judgment and Gehenna
Malayalam name: അന്ത്യവിധിയും നരകവും
Key terms: hell, Gehenna, judgment
Review routing: Human theologian
നരകം is also the standard Malayalam/Hindu cosmological term for a hell-realm within a cyclical, karma-purging rebirth framework; a translator note distinguishing the Christian doctrine’s final, non-cyclical judgment from the Hindu naraka concept is required.
Universal Scope of the Gospel and Mission
Malayalam name: സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ സാര്വത്രിക വ്യാപ്തിയും മിഷനും
Key terms: gospel to all nations, Gentiles, all creation
Review routing: Human theologian
Ties directly into the baseline’s Kerala-specific documentation that the ‘no distinction’ claim is a live internal-church matter (historic Syrian Christian/Dalit-convert stratification) as well as an interfaith one; the Gentile centurion’s confession at 15:39 forming an inclusio with 1:1 should be taught as reinforcing this same theme.
The New Covenant and the Blood of Christ
Malayalam name: പുതിയ ഉടമ്പടിയും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ രക്തവും
Key terms: blood of the covenant, body, Last Supper
Review routing: Human theologian
Identifies Jesus’ death as the covenant-inaugurating sacrifice grounding the Ransom-for-Many doctrine in explicit Old Testament covenant categories; requires careful catechetical framing consistent with the Ransom doctrine’s Critical status even though the individual vocabulary items (ഉടമ്പടി, രക്തം) are independently low-to-medium risk.
Gethsemane and Submission to the Father’s Will
Malayalam name: ഗെത്ത്ശെമനെയും പിതാവിന്റെ ഹിതത്തിനു കീഴടങ്ങലും
Key terms: Abba Father, not what I will, will of God
Review routing: Human theologian
The only Gospel occurrence of ‘Abba’ on Jesus’ own lips (elsewhere taught to disciples per the baseline’s Romans 8:15 treatment); models the filial intimacy disciples are given to share even facing the cross’s necessity, and must be distinguished in teaching notes from the baseline’s Spirit-in-believers nuance without contradicting it.
Medium Risk Doctrines
Faith and Discipleship amid Fear
Malayalam name: ഭയത്തിനിടയിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസവും ശിഷ്യത്വവും
Key terms: faith, do not be afraid, why are you afraid, have you no faith
Review routing: Native speaker review
Established വിശ്വാസം vocabulary; the pastoral nuance that genuine faith may coexist with doubt (9:24) should be preserved rather than flattened into either pure certainty or pure doubt.
Repentance and the Call to Turn
Malayalam name: മാനസാന്തരത്തിനുള്ള ആഹ്വാനം
Key terms: repent, repentance, turn
Review routing: Native speaker review
Established Malayalam Christian vocabulary (മാനസാന്തരം) with low ambiguity; must retain genuine inward and behavioral turning, not mere emotional regret.
Sabbath and the Law
Malayalam name: ശബ്ബത്തും ന്യായപ്രമാണവും
Key terms: Sabbath, law, lord of the Sabbath
Review routing: Native speaker review
Jesus’ claim to Sabbath authority must be taught as a specific claim over Mosaic law’s application, not presented as a general critique of religious law-keeping as such.
Heart Purity versus Ritual Defilement
