Core Glossary — Malachi (German Destination Language)
This glossary consolidates every load-bearing term identified in analysis/07_semantic_analysis.md, across the whole book of Malachi (Maleachi), chapters 1–4. Terms already fixed in the baseline Romans Language Package are marked [BASELINE — REUSE EXACTLY] and must not be altered. New terms proposed for addition to translation memory are marked [NEW].
Risk tiers follow the baseline’s doctrine_risk_registry.json definitions: Critical (theologian review mandatory, every occurrence) / High (theologian review mandatory) / Medium (native speaker review recommended) / Low (automated review sufficient).

Every chapter of Malachi has been reviewed; none is without load-bearing theological vocabulary — the book is short (4 chapters) and doctrinally dense throughout.
8. Cross-Pipeline Consistency Flags (For Future Curricula)
The following Malachi terms will require consistent handling if/when this pipeline later processes New Testament books quoting or alluding to them:
- מַלְאָכִי / der Engel des Bundes (3:1) → Mark 1:2, Matthew 11:10, Luke 7:27 (already in baseline registry as part of Mark’s “beginning_of_the_gospel” doctrine — cross-reference explicitly).
- אֵלִיָּה הַנָּבִיא (4:5) → Matthew 11:14, 17:10-13; Mark 9:11-13; Luke 1:17 (already in baseline registry — cross-reference explicitly).

This glossary is a candidate addition to translation_memory.json and bible_term_registry.json. All Critical- and High-risk new terms above require human theologian review before Phase 2 processing per the baseline’s escalation rules.

Because German has no separate everyday honorific protecting the exalted sense (per the baseline’s existing caution), this collision is doubly acute in Malachi 3:1, where both forms of ‘lord’ occur in one verse with a debated identity question between them.
