Cross-Reference Analysis

09 Cross-Reference Analysis — 2 Corinthians (Full Book)

Methodology

This matrix covers, chapter by chapter across the entire book, every direct Old Testament quotation (marked with an explicit citation formula such as “as it is written” or a clear verbal match to the Septuagint/Hebrew text), every significant OT allusion or echo, every messianic reference, every instance of typology (a person, office, or institution in the OT prefiguring Christ or the church), and every substantive parallel to the Romans baseline curriculum already delivered in this language package. Citations are given in normalized English form (e.g., “Genesis 15:6”, “2 Corinthians 5:21”) so they can be matched programmatically against any Bible reference database, independent of the Myanmar Bible Society citation format used in published output (see 12_ai_translation_requirements.md, Cross-Reference Preservation Rules, for the ရောမ ၃:၂၃-style publication format).

Where a chapter contains no direct OT quotation and only thin or no allusion, this is stated explicitly rather than omitted, per the full-book coverage mandate.

Columns:

  • Passage — the 2 Corinthians reference (normalized citation)
  • Theme — the operative theological theme/doctrine from the curriculum’s eight doctrines, or a supporting sub-theme
  • Related Character/Institution — OT or NT figure, office, or institution in view
  • OT/NT Connection — the specific cross-reference(s), normalized, with the nature of the connection (direct quotation / allusion / typology / Romans parallel)
  • Translation Sensitivity — the specific Burmese-context risk and the rendering-consistency rule that follows from it

Chapter 1 — Comfort in Suffering; Apostolic Sincerity; God’s Faithful Promises

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
2 Corinthians 1:3Suffering and Comfort in MinistryGod as “Father of mercies”Allusion to Exodus 34:6 (“merciful and gracious”) and Psalm 103:13 (“as a father shows compassion to his children”). NT parallel: Romans 15:5, “God of endurance and encouragement.”ကရုဏာ (mercy/compassion) must be anchored to the personal Father (baseline အဖ, Critical) disposed toward his own covenant children, not the impartial Buddhist virtue of metta/karuna cultivated toward all beings without distinction.
2 Corinthians 1:9Providence; Assurance of SalvationAbraham (typological background)Allusion to the “God who raises the dead” theme rooted in Genesis 22:5 and Deuteronomy 32:39 (“I kill and I make alive”); direct NT parallel in Hebrews 11:19 and Romans 4:17 (“God who gives life to the dead”).Must be rendered so that God’s power to raise the dead is personal and historical (tied to baseline resurrection doctrine ထမြောက်ခြင်း), not a generic statement about impermanence and rebirth.
2 Corinthians 1:20Fulfillment of Prophecy; Messianic PromiseChrist as fulfillment of all covenant promisesGeneral covenant-fulfillment theme; direct Romans parallel: Romans 15:8, “Christ became a servant… to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs.” Ties to baseline doctrines “fulfillment_of_prophecy” and “davidic_covenant.”ကတိတော် (promise) requires OT covenant-promise background teaching for low-OT-literacy hearers; the “Yes” in Christ must be taught as the historical fulfillment of specific promises to Israel, not a vague general affirmation.
2 Corinthians 1:22Assurance of Salvation; Holy SpiritCircumcision as covenant seal (typological background)Allusion to Genesis 17:11 (circumcision as covenant sign) and Ezekiel 9:4 (sealing motif); direct NT parallel Ephesians 1:13-14 and Romans 4:11 (“seal of the righteousness”), Romans 8:16 (Spirit as witness).Holy Spirit remains baseline သန့်ရှင်းသောဝိညာဉ်တော် exactly. “Seal/guarantee” language must not be rendered with a term implying a revocable commercial pledge (ငွေစေ့စပ်), matching the same caution already flagged in 08_core_glossary.md.

Chapter 2 — Forgiveness, Sincerity, the Fragrance of Christ

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
2 Corinthians 2:14-16Sincerity and Apostolic AuthoritySacrificial system (typological background)Allusion to the “pleasing aroma” formula of the OT sacrificial system: Genesis 8:21, Leviticus 1:9, 2:2. NT parallel: Ephesians 5:2 (Christ’s self-offering as “a fragrant offering”).ခရစ်တော်၏ အနံ့ရသာ (aroma of Christ) must be kept as metaphor for the gospel’s spiritual effect on hearers; must not be conflated with literal incense/flower offerings (ပန်းနံ့သာပူဇော်ခြင်း) presented to Buddha images or nats, as already flagged in 08_core_glossary.md.
2 Corinthians 2:17Sincerity and Apostolic AuthorityContrast with false teachersNo direct OT quotation. Thematic echo of prophets condemned for corrupting God’s word for profit (cf. Micah 3:11, Jeremiah 6:13).Low risk; supports the “peddlers” term already flagged for monetized-ministry sensitivity.

Chapter 2 contains no direct Old Testament citation formula; the above allusions are the chapter’s only substantive OT connections.

Chapter 3 — New Covenant, Letter and Spirit, Unveiled Glory

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
2 Corinthians 3:3The New Covenant versus the OldMoses; the tablets of the covenantDirect allusion/contrast to Exodus 31:18 (“tablets of stone, written with the finger of God”) and Exodus 34:1. Also echoes Jeremiah 31:33 and Ezekiel 11:19/36:26 (“a new heart… heart of flesh”).”Tablets of the heart” must be taught as the Spirit’s internal, transformative writing (new covenant doctrine), not a metaphor detached from its Exodus/Jeremiah/Ezekiel background — OT literacy scaffolding required.
2 Corinthians 3:6The New Covenant versus the OldMoses (typological contrast)Direct NT parallel: Romans 7:6 (“we serve not under the old written code but in the new life of the Spirit”) and Romans 2:29 (“circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit”).RENDERING-CONSISTENCY RULE: “letter” (စာလုံး) and “Spirit” (ဝိညာဉ်တော်, baseline) must be rendered identically wherever this letter/Spirit contrast recurs across Romans and 2 Corinthians curricula.
2 Corinthians 3:7-11The New Covenant versus the Old; Davidic/Mosaic covenant contrastMosesSustained narrative allusion to Exodus 34:29-35 (Moses’ veiled, fading glory after receiving the Law). Typology: Moses’ ministry of the old covenant prefigures and is surpassed by Christ’s new-covenant ministry.Requires explicit OT narrative retelling (Moses descending Sinai with a shining but fading face) for hearers with low OT literacy, consistent with the target-audience note in 12_ai_translation_requirements.md.
2 Corinthians 3:13-16The New Covenant versus the OldMoses; IsraelDirect allusion to Exodus 34:33-35 (the veil over Moses’ face) applied typologically to Israel’s hardened perception; 3:16 echoes (without exact quotation) Exodus 34:34, “whenever Moses turned to the LORD, he would remove the veil.”မျက်နှာဖုံး (veil) must be tied explicitly to this Exodus narrative; risk of the metaphor floating free of its OT anchor without a translator note supplying the Moses background.
2 Corinthians 3:18Sanctification (extends baseline); New CovenantBelievers as beholding Christ’s gloryDirect NT parallel: Romans 12:2 (“be transformed by the renewal of your mind”) — same Greek root μεταμορφόω/metamorphoumetha.RENDERING-CONSISTENCY RULE: ပြောင်းလဲခြင်း (transformed) must be used identically in both Romans 12:2 and 2 Corinthians 3:18 renderings; must be tied to the Spirit’s ongoing sanctifying work (baseline သန့်ရှင်းခြင်း), never to a self-achieved meditative mind-change.

Chapter 4 — Treasure in Jars of Clay; Not Losing Heart

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
2 Corinthians 4:4Genuine versus False Apostleship; Gospel”the god of this world” blinding mindsAllusion to Isaiah 6:9-10 (spiritual blindness motif), also quoted directly in Romans 11:8 (“God gave them… eyes that would not see”).Must be rendered so blinding is the work of a personal spiritual adversary (see Satan entry, ch.11 below), not an impersonal state of ignorance to be overcome by insight-cultivation.
2 Corinthians 4:6New Creation in ChristCreation narrativeDirect quotation/echo: Genesis 1:3, “Let light shine out of darkness” (a compressed allusion, not a formal citation, but a clear verbal echo of the LXX).Ties “new creation” doctrine (ဖန်ဆင်းခြင်းအသစ်, Critical, baseline-extending) directly back to God’s original creative act at Genesis 1; reinforces that new creation in Christ is a fresh, ex nihilo divine act, paralleling the very first creation, not a karmic-cycle transition.
2 Corinthians 4:13FaithThe PsalmistDirect quotation, with citation formula “we…believe, and so we also speak”: Psalm 116:10 (LXX), “I believed, and so I spoke.”Faith (ယုံကြည်ခြင်း, baseline) here is modeled on the OT psalmist’s persevering trust amid affliction; reinforce object of faith as the personal God who raises the dead (4:14), consistent with baseline faith-object rule.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18Suffering and Comfort in MinistryDirect NT parallel: Romans 8:18 (“the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed”).RENDERING-CONSISTENCY RULE: “eternal weight of glory” (ထာဝရဘုန်းတော်၏ အလေးချိန်) should echo the same future-glory hope vocabulary used for Romans 8:18 wherever both curricula are studied together.

Chapter 5 — New Creation; Reconciliation (verses 1–10; verses 11–21 fully treated in 07_semantic_analysis.md Part A)

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
2 Corinthians 5:1-5New Creation in ChristDirect NT parallel: Romans 8:23 (“we…groan inwardly, as we wait for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies”). No direct OT quotation.RENDERING-CONSISTENCY RULE: ညည်းတွားခြင်း (groan) should match Romans 8:23’s rendering when both curricula are studied together; both describe longing for the future resurrection body, tied to baseline resurrection doctrine.
2 Corinthians 5:10Sincerity and Apostolic Authority; Assurance of SalvationDirect NT parallel: Romans 14:10, “we will all stand before the judgment seat of God” (same Greek term βῆμα).RENDERING-CONSISTENCY RULE: ခရစ်တော်၏ တရားစီရင်ပလ္လင်တော် (judgment seat) should be rendered with the same core phrase as any future Romans 14:10 translation, distinguishing this personal tribunal from an impersonal karmic ledger-settling.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15Reconciliation with God; New Creation in ChristChrist (substitutionary death)Direct NT parallel: Romans 5:6-8 (“Christ died for us”), Romans 14:7-9 (“whether we live or…die, we are the Lord’s”).RENDERING-CONSISTENCY RULE: preserve substitutionary “on behalf of” (အတွက်/ကိုယ်စား) identically across both curricula’s “died for” language; see full treatment in 07_semantic_analysis.md.
2 Corinthians 5:17New Creation in ChristAdam (typological contrast, implicit)Allusion to Isaiah 43:18-19 and Isaiah 65:17/66:22 (“new heavens and new earth”). Typology: implicit Adam/Christ contrast, made explicit in Romans 5:12-21 and 1 Corinthians 15:22,45.New creation doctrine must connect to the Adam/Christ typological pattern already anchored in Romans (baseline doctrine cluster around Christ’s headship); avoid isolating 5:17 from this wider canonical Adam-to-Christ narrative.
2 Corinthians 5:19Reconciliation with GodDirect conceptual link (same verb λογίζομαι, “to reckon/credit”) to Psalm 32:1-2, which is directly quoted in Romans 4:7-8 (“Blessed is the one…against whom the Lord will not count his sin”).RENDERING-CONSISTENCY RULE: the negated form အပြစ်များကို မှတ်တော်မမူ must use the identical verb root မှတ်တော်မူ already fixed for baseline imputed_righteousness, so that Romans 4 and 2 Corinthians 5:19 read as the same forensic accounting logic applied positively and negatively.
2 Corinthians 5:21Reconciliation with God; Messianic PromiseThe Suffering ServantStrong typological allusion to Isaiah 53:5-6, 9-12 (“the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all,” “he had done no violence”), and to the Levitical sin-offering/Day of Atonement pattern (Leviticus 4; Leviticus 16).CRITICAL: this is the passage’s doctrinal center. Christ’s sinlessness and representative sin-bearing must be traced explicitly to Isaiah’s Suffering Servant, reinforcing that this fulfills a specific, exclusive OT messianic promise — never framed as a generic self-sacrifice narrative detachable from Israel’s sacrificial typology.

Chapter 6 — Workers Together; Unequal Yoking; Temple of the Living God

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
2 Corinthians 6:2Reconciliation with GodThe Servant of the Lord (Isaiah)Direct quotation, with citation formula “for he says”: Isaiah 49:8, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.”The “day of salvation” must be tied to baseline ကယ်တင်ခြင်း (salvation, Critical); reinforce that this is a decisive historical moment of divine rescue, not a self-attained state achieved gradually through discipline.
2 Corinthians 6:14Sincerity and Apostolic AuthorityIsrael’s purity lawsAllusion to Deuteronomy 22:10 (“You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together”) and Leviticus 19:19 (prohibition on mixing kinds).”Unequally yoked” application must remain pastoral, not a blanket ban on ordinary social contact, given the majority-Buddhist social context already flagged in 08_core_glossary.md.
2 Corinthians 6:16Church as God’s People; Reconciliation with GodIsrael as God’s dwelling placeComposite direct quotation: Leviticus 26:11-12 and Ezekiel 37:27, “I will make my dwelling among them…I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”ဗိမာန်တော် (temple of the living God) must be reserved for this OT temple/dwelling-place theology; never rendered with pagoda/monastery vocabulary already forbidden for “church” in the baseline.
2 Corinthians 6:17SanctificationIsrael called to separationDirect quotation: Isaiah 52:11, “Go out from their midst, and be separate from them…touch no unclean thing,” combined with Ezekiel 20:34,41 (“I will…gather you”).Must connect to baseline sanctification doctrine (သန့်ရှင်းခြင်း); “unclean” language must not be rendered with ritual-purity vocabulary evoking Buddhist merit/purity practices rather than moral-relational holiness.
2 Corinthians 6:18Adoption into God’s FamilyDavidic covenant promiseDirect quotation, drawing on 2 Samuel 7:14 and Isaiah 43:6/Jeremiah 31:9, “I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me.”RENDERING-CONSISTENCY RULE: အဖ (Father, baseline Critical) and the adoption vocabulary (baseline သားအဖြစ်လက်ခံခြင်း) must be reused exactly, tying this citation to the same Davidic-covenant-rooted sonship doctrine established in the Romans baseline.

Chapter 7 — Godly Sorrow; Comfort through Titus

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
2 Corinthians 7:9-10Suffering and Comfort in Ministry (supports Sanctification/Repentance)No direct OT citation formula. Thematic echo of OT repentance narratives: Psalm 51 (David’s contrition) and Joel 2:12-13 (“return to me with all your heart”).ဘုရားသခင်နှစ်သက်တော်မူသော ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်း (godly sorrow) must be anchored to this relational, God-oriented repentance pattern, distinct from self-directed karmic regret (ဝိပ္ပတိသာရ), already flagged in 08_core_glossary.md.

Chapter 7 contains no direct Old Testament citation formula; its only substantive OT connection is the general repentance-narrative pattern above.

Chapter 8 — The Grace of Giving; The Macedonian Example

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
2 Corinthians 8:9Generosity and Grace in Giving; Power in WeaknessChrist’s voluntary povertyTypological/theological parallel: NT parallel Philippians 2:6-8 (kenosis); background resonance with Isaiah 53:2-3 (Suffering Servant’s humble, unimpressive appearance).Must be taught alongside baseline incarnation doctrine (လူ့ဇာတိခံယူခြင်း, Critical); Christ’s “poverty” is voluntary self-giving for others’ enrichment, not a Buddhist renunciation narrative pursued for personal merit or enlightenment.
2 Corinthians 8:15Generosity and Grace in GivingIsrael in the wilderness (manna)Direct quotation, with citation formula “as it is written”: Exodus 16:18, “Whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack.”Must connect to the manna narrative’s lesson of God’s sufficient, day-by-day provision (baseline-adjacent providence doctrine ဘုရားသခင်၏ကြည့်ရှုစောင့်ရှောက်မှု); giving as grace-motivated equalizing, not merit-accumulating almsgiving.
2 Corinthians 8:1-5Generosity and Grace in Giving; Church as God’s PeopleThe Macedonian churchesDirect NT parallel: Romans 15:26 (“Macedonia and Achaia have made some contribution for the poor among the saints at Jerusalem”) — same collection project.RENDERING-CONSISTENCY RULE: “the saints” (သန့်ရှင်းသူများ, baseline) and “grace” (ကျေးဇူးတော်, baseline Critical) must be rendered identically across Romans 15 and 2 Corinthians 8-9 references to this same historical collection for the Jerusalem church.

Chapter 9 — Sowing and Reaping; the Cheerful Giver

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
2 Corinthians 9:6-7Generosity and Grace in GivingThematic echo of Proverbs 11:24-25 and Proverbs 22:8-9 (generosity and its increase); direct NT parallel Galatians 6:7 (“whatever one sows, that will he also reap”).HIGHEST-PRIORITY COLLISION: this sowing/reaping language must be taught as describing God’s own personal, gracious response to a giver’s generosity, never an impersonal, self-operating karmic cause-and-effect (ကံအကြောင်းအကျိုး), as already flagged Critical-adjacent in 08_core_glossary.md.
2 Corinthians 9:9Generosity and Grace in Giving; RighteousnessThe PsalmistDirect quotation, with citation formula “as it is written”: Psalm 112:9, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.”RENDERING-CONSISTENCY RULE: “righteousness” here must use the exact baseline ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်း (Critical), the same term used throughout Romans 1-5 and 2 Corinthians 5:21, preserving the term’s forensic/covenant-faithfulness sense across all occurrences.
2 Corinthians 9:10Generosity and Grace in GivingAllusion to Isaiah 55:10 (“he who gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater”) and Hosea 10:12 (“sow for yourselves righteousness”).Reinforces that God, not the giver’s own effort, supplies the “seed” for generosity; must not collapse into self-generated merit accumulation.

Chapter 10 — Weapons Not of the Flesh; Boasting within Limits

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
2 Corinthians 10:4-5Power in WeaknessMilitary siege imageryAllusion to Proverbs 21:22 (“a wise man scales the city of the mighty and brings down the stronghold in which they trust”).ခံတပ်များ (strongholds) — clear military metaphor with low collision risk; keep the imagery of entrenched pride and false reasoning, not a literal fortress.
2 Corinthians 10:17Sincerity and Apostolic Authority; Power in WeaknessThe Prophet JeremiahDirect quotation: Jeremiah 9:24, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” Also quoted directly in 1 Corinthians 1:31; thematically parallel to Romans 3:27, “boasting is excluded.”RENDERING-CONSISTENCY RULE: “boast” (ကြွားဝါ/ဝါကြွား) and “in the Lord” (သခင်ဘုရား၌) must be rendered identically wherever this Jeremiah quotation recurs across the Romans and 2 Corinthians curricula, since it anchors the shared doctrine that all legitimate confidence rests in God alone, never in human achievement or merit.

Chapter 11 — False Apostles; Satan Disguised; Paul’s Sufferings

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
2 Corinthians 11:3Genuine versus False ApostleshipThe serpent; EveDirect allusion (near-quotation): Genesis 3:1-6, 13, “the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning.”The church, like Eve, is portrayed as vulnerable to cunning deception; must not be softened into a generic warning about “bad influence” — the specific Genesis 3 fall-narrative background should be retained, requiring OT scaffolding for hearers unfamiliar with it.
2 Corinthians 11:14-15Genuine versus False ApostleshipSatanTypological/theological connection to Genesis 3 (the serpent as deceiver) and Job 1:6-12 (Satan operating within God’s permitted bounds).CRITICAL: စာတန် (Satan, transliteration retained) must never be rendered with မာရ်နတ် (Mara) or generic nat-spirit vocabulary; this is the same singular personal adversary active from Genesis 3 through the entire canon, not a culturally local spirit-figure.
2 Corinthians 11:23-33Suffering and Comfort in MinistryThe righteous sufferer (typological pattern)General typological echo of OT righteous-sufferer laments (e.g., Psalm 22, Jeremiah’s “confessions,” Jeremiah 15:10-18, 20:7-18).Paul’s suffering catalog should be read against this OT prophetic-suffering pattern — endurance in relationship with God, productive of ministry — not against Buddhist ascetic self-mortification narratives.

Chapter 12 — Paradise, the Thorn in the Flesh, Power Perfected in Weakness

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
2 Corinthians 12:2-4Power in WeaknessParadise/Eden; heavenly throne-room visionsTypological connection to Genesis 2:8-3:24 (the LXX uses παράδεισος for the Garden of Eden) and to OT throne-vision accounts: Ezekiel 1:1 (heavens opened), Isaiah 6:1-8, 1 Kings 22:19 (heavenly council).CRITICAL: ပရဒိသု/ဘုရားသခင်၏ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ (paradise/third heaven) must be distinguished sharply from Buddhist deva-realm cosmology (နတ်ပြည်/ဒေဝလောက), which are impermanent way-stations within samsara. Paul’s paradise is a real, momentary disclosure of God’s own eternal, unchanging presence, echoing the pre-fall Eden and OT throne-room visions, not a temporary heavenly rebirth.
2 Corinthians 12:7Power in WeaknessAllusion to thorn-imagery in Numbers 33:55 (“thorns in your sides”) and Ezekiel 28:24 (“no more a brier to prick or a thorn to hurt”).ဇာတိကိုယ်၌ ဆူးချောင်းတစ်ခု (thorn in the flesh) must be taught as purposive divine discipline producing humble grace-dependence, never as karmic retribution for a past-life wrong, a common Burmese folk-causal explanation for persistent affliction.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10Power in WeaknessDirect NT parallel: Romans 8:26 (“the Spirit helps us in our weakness”); background echo of Isaiah 40:29 (“he gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength”).RENDERING-CONSISTENCY RULE: ဘုရားသခင်၏တန်ခိုးတော် (power of God, baseline High/Critical) must remain exact; “weakness” (အားနည်းခြင်း, new term) must not be moralized as a self-cultivated ascetic virtue, but as acknowledged human insufficiency through which grace operates, echoing Isaiah’s God-strengthens-the-weak theology.

Chapter 13 — Final Exhortation, Self-Examination, Trinitarian Benediction

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
2 Corinthians 13:1Genuine versus False ApostleshipMosaic judicial procedureDirect quotation: Deuteronomy 19:15, “Every charge must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”Must retain the legal/evidentiary force of this citation — Paul submits his own apostolic discipline to an OT judicial standard, not an arbitrary personal claim to authority.
2 Corinthians 13:14(anchors Trinity teaching across curriculum)Aaronic priestly blessing (formal pattern); the TrinityStructural parallel to the threefold Aaronic benediction, Numbers 6:24-26; direct NT parallels: Matthew 28:19 (Trinitarian baptismal formula), 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 (Father/Son/Spirit gifts), and Romans 15:30 (Spirit and Christ named together in apostolic appeal).RENDERING-CONSISTENCY RULE: each Person’s baseline term — ကျေးဇူးတော် (grace, Lord Jesus Christ), ဘုရားသခင်၏ မေတ္တာတော် (love of God), and သန့်ရှင်းသောဝိညာဉ်တော်၏ မိတ်သဟာယ (fellowship of the Holy Spirit) — must be reused exactly per the baseline, so this closing formula reads with the same Trinitarian distinctness as all Romans occurrences of these terms.

Shared Element2 Corinthians OccurrenceRomans OccurrenceRule
Non-imputation of sin (λογίζομαι)2 Corinthians 5:19Romans 4:7-8 (quoting Psalm 32:1-2)Use the identical verb root မှတ်တော်မူ (“credit/reckon”) in both; negated form at 2 Corinthians 5:19 must mirror the baseline imputed_righteousness structure exactly.
Boasting excluded / boast in the Lord2 Corinthians 10:17 (quoting Jeremiah 9:24)Romans 3:27ကြွားဝါ/ဝါကြွား (boast) and သခင်ဘုရား၌ (in the Lord) must match across both curricula.

Groaning for the resurrection body2 Corinthians 5:2, 4Romans 8:23ညည်းတွားခြင်း (groan) rendered identically; tied to baseline resurrection doctrine ထမြောက်ခြင်း.
Judgment seat (βῆμα)2 Corinthians 5:10Romans 14:10ခရစ်တော်၏ တရားစီရင်ပလ္လင်တော် rendered with the same core phrase in both.
Power of God amid weakness2 Corinthians 12:9-10Romans 8:26; 1:16ဘုရားသခင်၏တန်ခိုးတော် (baseline) exact; new term အားနည်းခြင်း consistent.
The collection for the Jerusalem saints2 Corinthians 8-9Romans 15:26သန့်ရှင်းသူများ (saints) and ကျေးဇူးတော် (grace) rendered identically; same historical event referenced in both letters.
Trinitarian formula2 Corinthians 13:14Romans 15:30; 8:1-17 (Trinitarian pattern)Each Person’s baseline term reused exactly; Trinitarian distinctness preserved.
Adam/Christ typology underlying new creation2 Corinthians 5:17Romans 5:12-21New-creation language must be read against the same Adam/Christ headship pattern established in the Romans baseline, not treated as an isolated 2 Corinthians-only concept.
Israel/Gentile unity applied to a mixed congregation2 Corinthians 6:16-18 (composite OT quotation applied to the church)Romans 9-11; baseline doctrine unity_of_jews_and_gentilesThe OT covenant-people language (“I will be their God, they shall be my people”) applied to the Corinthian church must retain the same theological point as Romans 9-11: God’s covenant people now include Gentiles without distinction.

This cross-reference analysis extends, and does not contradict, the baseline Romans translation_memory.json, bible_term_registry.json, and doctrine_risk_registry.json. All rendering-consistency rules above are binding for Phase 2 segment translation whenever a 2 Corinthians segment shares an OT quotation, typological pattern, or NT parallel with a previously translated Romans passage.
