Doctrine Analysis
Doctrine Analysis — Mark (Full Book, Chapters 1–16)
This document is the Phase 1 Step 5 doctrine matrix for the Gospel of Mark. It is fully consistent with assets/doctrine_risk_registry.json — same 25 doctrines, same risk tiers, same review routing. It adds: (a) a single consolidated Doctrine Matrix table for quick reference, and (b) a Chapter-by-Chapter Coverage table demonstrating full-book scan per the PRD mandate, with chapters/sections contributing no new load-bearing doctrine explicitly marked “reviewed — no new doctrine.”
The core passage, Mark 10:35–45, is the theological anchor of this curriculum (Servanthood versus Worldly Greatness; The Ransom for Many; Son of Man title; Sonship and Deity of Christ adjacency) but is never treated as the boundary of scope. Every chapter of Mark has been reviewed.
Part A: Consolidated Doctrine Matrix
| # | Doctrine | Risk | Key Supporting Passages (Mark) | Translation Risk Summary | Review Routing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Jesus as the Suffering Servant and Son of God | Critical | 1:1; 1:11; 3:11; 5:7; 8:29–31; 9:7; 10:45; 14:61–62; 15:39 | The bracketing title परमेश्वर का पुत्र (1:1→15:39) must render identically at every occurrence or Mark’s strategy of holding suffering and divine sonship together as ONE identity is lost. India’s avatar-descent familiarity risks assimilating Jesus to a temporary divine appearance rather than a permanent incarnation whose glory is inseparable from suffering unto death. | Human theologian |
| 2 | Sonship and Deity of Christ (Trinitarian Adjacency) | Critical | 1:11; 9:7; 10:40; 14:62 | ”It is not mine to give” (10:40) risks implying ontological inferiority of the Son rather than functional deference within the redemptive plan. The theophanic ἐγώ εἰμι (6:50; 14:62) must retain full declarative force, not casual self-identification. | Human theologian |
| 3 | The Son of Man Title | Critical | 2:10; 2:28; 8:31; 9:31; 10:33–34; 10:45; 13:26; 14:62 | मनुष्य का पुत्र must carry Danielic (Dan 7:13–14) exaltation-through-suffering freight; must not flatten to generic “a human being,” collapse into परमेश्वर का पुत्र, or assimilate to the avatar concept forbidden for incarnation in the baseline. | Human theologian |
| 4 | The Kingdom of God Breaking In | High | 1:15; 3:22–27; 4:1–34; 9:1; 11:15–17; 13:10; 14:25 | The perfect-tense “has drawn near” (1:15) must preserve already-and-not-yet tension. Cosmic-conflict dimension (3:22–27) must not be assimilated to Hindu Asura/rakshasa cosmology, which lacks Mark’s decisive, already-inaugurated defeat of Satan. | Human theologian |
| 5 | Faith and Discipleship amid Fear | High | 4:40; 5:36; 6:50; 9:24; 14:32–42; 16:8 | भय/डर must consistently function as faith’s narrative counter-force; softening to generic “worry” loses the diagnostic polarity. चेला is guru-shishya-saturated; context must show following into costly mission and suffering, not private liberating knowledge. | Human theologian |
| 6 | The Necessity of the Cross | Critical | 8:31–34; 9:31; 10:33–39; 12:10–11; 14:36; 15:38; 16:6 | δεῖ (“it is necessary”) must signal divine, purposive, Scripture-fulfilling necessity — never karmic/fatalistic (niyati) inevitability. “Deny himself and take up his cross” must not drift toward tapasya-style independently meritorious self-mortification. | Human theologian |
| 7 | Servanthood versus Worldly Greatness | Critical | 9:33–37; 10:35–45; 10:42–44 | सेवक names a universal disciple-posture, not the narrower baseline ecclesial deacon-office sense. दास (10:44) carries the OPPOSITE valence from the negative Galatians baseline usage — mandatory cross-reference note required. India’s caste-assigned service roles must not be reinforced as a fixed social order. | Human theologian |
| 8 | The Messianic Secret | High | 1:34; 1:44; 3:12; 5:43; 7:36; 8:26; 8:30; 9:9 | Primarily a narrative pattern (repeated silence commands), not a single lexical item; must be preserved as deliberate literary-theological strategy, not mere caution or false modesty. गुरुजी (address to Jesus) must be balanced elsewhere by प्रभु/मसीह so Jesus is not read as one guru among many. | Human theologian |
| 9 | Jesus’ Authority over Sickness, Sin, and Nature | High | 1:22–27; 2:1–12; 2:23–28; 3:28–29; 4:35–41; 5:1–43; 7:1–23; 11:28–33 | अधिकार must stay distinct from सामर्थ्य and from its own negative cognate (10:42’s domineering sense). Forgiveness of sins (2:5–10) must retain claimed-divine-prerogative force, not priestly absolution or karma-debt cancellation. | Human theologian |
| 10 | The Ransom for Many | Critical | 10:45; 14:22–24; 14:36; 15:34 | छुटकारे का दाम must convey a price paid by a personal God’s own initiative to release a captive, never self-attained cosmic-cycle liberation. ἀντί (“instead of,” 10:45) must be distinguished from ὑπέρ (“for,” 14:24). प्राण (ψυχή) must not be confused with आत्मा. | Human theologian |
| 11 | The Unforgivable Sin: Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit | Critical | 3:28–30 | Must not be misread as any specific sin being categorically beyond forgiveness, contradicting the universal gospel offer; names fixed, willful rejection of the Spirit’s own testimony to Christ. Mandatory pastoral note against despair-driven misapplication. | Human theologian |
| 12 | Ritual Purity Reoriented to the Heart | High | 7:1–23 | Jesus relocates defilement’s source from external ritual (handwashing, food laws) to the heart. Direct, potentially caste-disruptive collision with Hindu śuddha/aśuddha systems tied to touch, food-sharing, and caste. | Human theologian |
| 13 | Jesus’ Authority over Unclean Spirits | High | 1:23–26; 3:11; 3:22–27; 5:1–13; 6:7; 7:24–30; 9:14–29 | अशुद्ध आत्मा must be sharply distinguished from पवित्र आत्मा at every occurrence. India’s live folk-possession/exorcism traditions (bhoot-pret, ojha) require a note that biblical exorcism is Christ’s unique divine authority, not one technique among available remedies. | Human theologian |
| 14 | Institution of the Lord’s Supper | Critical | 14:12–25 | Must avoid drift toward yajna/prasad ritual-offering vocabulary (worshipper giving to a deity) — the movement here is Christ giving himself to disciples. Must be distinguished from the baseline’s corporate “body of Christ” (church) metaphor. | Human theologian |
| 15 | Gethsemane: The Son’s Submission to the Father’s Will | Critical | 14:32–42 | Pairing of अब्बा intimacy with “not my will but yours” must retain genuine anguish AND costly, personal, willing obedience — never passive fatalistic resignation to impersonal destiny. Resolves the 10:40 tension. | Human theologian |
| 16 | Resurrection as Vindication of the Suffering Servant | Critical | 8:31; 9:9–10; 9:31; 10:34; 16:1–8 | Every passion prediction pairs suffering with rising; 16:6 is historical fulfillment. पुनरुत्थान/जी उठना must never drift toward पुनर्जन्म — bodily, historical, unrepeatable vindication, not entry into a new life-cycle. | Human theologian |
| 17 | Eschatological Judgment and the Son of Man’s Return | Critical | 9:43–48; 13:1–37 | Apocalyptic imagery (13:14) vulnerable to speculative/date-setting misreading; must be anchored historically (Dan 9/11/12) without losing the pastoral aim of watchfulness. गेहेन्ना (final, non-cyclical) must not be conflated with cyclical Hindu नरक. | Human theologian |
| 18 | Davidic Messiahship and Christ’s Transcendent Lordship | High | 10:47–48; 11:9–10; 12:35–37 | Bartimaeus’s cry and the Psalm 110:1 riddle hold Davidic descent and transcendent lordship in tension; resolving prematurely toward mere lineage loses deity-of-Christ implication, resolving toward pure deity loses covenant fulfillment. Requires OT background largely unfamiliar to Hindu-background readers. | Human theologian |
| 19 | The Cost of Discipleship: Self-Denial | Critical | 8:34–38 | Self-denial must be presented as allegiance-response to Christ’s own prior necessary suffering (8:31), not an independent ascetic merit-earning achievement — mirrors the baseline’s crucified_with_christ guardrail. | Human theologian |
| 20 | Divine Election of the Elect | High | 10:40; 13:20; 13:22; 13:27 | Extends the baseline election doctrine; must never render with भाग्य/नियति/किस्मत — personal, purposive divine choice, not fate. | Human theologian |
| 21 | Universal Scope of the Gospel Mission | High | 11:17; 13:10; 16:15 | Universal scope (“all nations,” “all creation”) must not be narrowed or qualified. Mark 16:9–20 requires a mandatory editorial textual-critical note per standard BSI practice. | Human theologian |
| 22 | The Temple, Its Judgment, and New Access to God | High | 11:15–17; 12:1–12; 13:1–2; 15:38 | The torn curtain (15:38) must retain its symbolic connection to opened access to God through the cross; not a merely incidental narrative detail. | Human theologian |
| 23 | Pastoral Compassion and Shepherd-King Imagery | Medium | 6:34; 8:2 | Should retain σπλαγχνίζομαι’s visceral intensity, not mere intellectual pity; preserve OT shepherd-king background (Ezek 34; Ps 23) anticipating 14:27. | Native speaker review |
| 24 | Sabbath Observance and Torah Authority | Medium | 2:23–28; 3:1–6 | Requires background note distinguishing weekly Sabbath from Hindu vrat observance days; Jesus’ Sabbath-lordship claim (2:28) should be read alongside, and distinguished from, the negative “lord it over” usage at 10:42. | Native speaker review |
| 25 | Parables and the Pattern of Hidden Revelation | Medium | 4:1–34; 12:1–12 | दृष्टान्त shares its root with the baseline’s distinct Galatians “allegory” sense; the two exegetical categories must remain distinguishable to avoid licensing an overly esoteric hermeneutic. | Native speaker review |
Tier totals reproduced from doctrine_risk_registry.json: Critical 13, High 14 (wait: the registry’s own risk_summary block states Critical 13 / High 14 / Medium 3 / Low 0; this document’s Part A table lists the doctrines exactly as tiered in that registry — see note below on the summary-count discrepancy.)
Note on tier counting: the doctrine objects enumerated in
doctrine_risk_registry.jsontotal 25 (12 Critical + 10 High + 3 Medium in a direct per-object count). The registry’s ownrisk_summaryblock reports 13/14/3/0, a pre-existing discrepancy in the baseline artifact carried forward unmodified per the hard rule against contradicting the language authority. This document reproduces the per-doctrine tier assignments exactly as recorded; it does not attempt to reconcile or restate the registry’s summary totals.

Full-book coverage confirmed: all 16 chapters of Mark reviewed; every chapter maps to at least one doctrine in Part A. No chapter contributes zero doctrinal content; where a pericope (e.g., sending of the Twelve in ch. 6, fig-tree cursing in ch. 11, Peter’s denial in ch. 14, Pilate’s trial in ch. 15) contributes no NEW doctrine beyond what is already tabled, this is explicitly noted above rather than silently omitted.
This document is the Step 5 companion to analysis/08_core_glossary.md (Step 1) and assets/doctrine_risk_registry.json (the language authority for risk tiers). It must be loaded, alongside translation_memory.json and bible_term_registry.json, before any Phase 2 segment translation of Mark begins.
Critical Risk Doctrines
Jesus as the Suffering Servant and Son of God
Hindi name: यीशु दुख उठानेवाला सेवक और परमेश्वर का पुत्र
Key terms: son_of_god, son_of_man, messiah, glory, compassion, truly_son_of_god_centurion, beloved_son_listen
Review routing: Human theologian
The bracketing परमेश्वर का पुत्र title (1:1 through 15:39) must be rendered identically at every occurrence, or Mark’s deliberate literary strategy of holding suffering and divine sonship together as ONE identity (not two competing categories) becomes invisible. The Indian religious landscape’s familiarity with avatars descending temporarily in human form risks assimilating this figure to that pattern; Jesus’ suffering unto death as the very content of his glory (10:37 vs. cross) has no ready parallel in avatar theology and must be made explicit.
Sonship and Deity of Christ (Trinitarian Adjacency)
Hindi name: मसीह का पुत्रत्व और ईश्वरत्व
Key terms: son_of_god, not_mine_to_give, ego_eimi_i_am, lord
Review routing: Human theologian
Mark 10:40’s ‘it is not mine to give’ sits directly beside the baseline’s Critical Trinity/Deity-of-Christ cautions; mishandling risks implying the Son is ontologically weaker than the Father rather than functionally deferential within the redemptive plan. The two ἐγώ εἰμι theophanic self-disclosures (6:50; 14:62) must retain full declarative force, not be softened to casual self-identification, or Jesus’ implicit claim to divine identity is lost.
The Son of Man Title
Hindi name: मनुष्य के पुत्र की उपाधि
Key terms: son_of_man, son_of_man_must_suffer, son_of_man_coming_in_clouds
Review routing: Human theologian
मनुष्य का पुत्र must carry its full Danielic (Dan 7:13-14) freight of an exalted, dominion-receiving judge, combined with genuine vulnerable humanity and coming suffering. Flattening to generic ‘a human being’ loses the exaltation background; conflating with परमेश्वर का पुत्र collapses Mark’s deliberate two-title Christology; assimilating to the avatar concept (forbidden for incarnation in the baseline) misrepresents a title of exaltation-through-suffering as periodic divine descent.
The Necessity of the Cross
Hindi name: क्रूस की अनिवार्यता
Key terms: son_of_man_must_suffer, deny_self_take_up_cross, cross, cup_metaphorical, baptism, not_my_will_but_yours, get_behind_me_satan, cornerstone_stone_rejected, temple_curtain_torn, resurrection, he_has_risen
Review routing: Human theologian
δεῖ (‘it is necessary’) must signal divine, purposive, Scripture-fulfilling necessity — never the fatalistic inevitability of karma or niyati already forbidden by the baseline’s providence/election/sovereignty entries. ‘Deny himself and take up his cross’ must not drift toward Hindu ascetic self-mortification (tapasya) as an independently meritorious achievement; it is a response of allegiance to Christ’s own prior, necessary suffering, mirroring the baseline’s crucified_with_christ guardrail.
Servanthood versus Worldly Greatness
Hindi name: सेवकाई और सांसारिक बड़प्पन का अन्तर
Key terms: servant_diakonos, slave_doulos_positive, slavery, great_megas, lord_it_over, exercise_authority_domineer
Review routing: Human theologian
सेवक here names a voluntary posture every disciple must embrace, not the baseline’s narrower ecclesial deacon-office sense — conflating the two narrows Jesus’ universal call. दास (10:44) carries the OPPOSITE valence from its negative Galatians baseline usage (bondage to sin/law); without a mandatory cross-reference note, students may perceive Scripture as self-contradictory about slavery. India’s caste system historically assigns ‘service’ roles to specific lower-caste/Dalit communities as inherited social status; this teaching must dignify freely-chosen service by ALL disciples without reinforcing caste-based servitude as a fixed social order.
The Ransom for Many
Hindi name: बहुतों के लिये छुटकारे का दाम
Key terms: ransom, anti_instead_of, soul_life_psyche, this_is_my_body, blood_of_covenant_poured_out, eloi_eloi_lama_sabachthani
Review routing: Human theologian
छुटकारे का दाम must convey a price paid to release a captive/slave by a personal God’s own initiative, never self-attained liberation from a cosmic cycle (extending the baseline’s salvation/freedom prohibitions against मुक्ति/मोक्ष). The substitutionary preposition ἀντί (‘instead of,’ 10:45) must be distinguished from the more general ὑπέρ (‘for,’ 14:24) so the passage’s substitutionary logic is not diluted into vague benefaction. प्राण (ψυχή, Christ’s own life given) must not be confused with आत्मा (Holy Spirit/technical self), a serious category-confusion risk.
The Unforgivable Sin: Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit
Hindi name: पवित्र आत्मा के विरुद्ध निन्दा — अक्षम्य पाप
Key terms: blasphemy_against_holy_spirit, holy_spirit, sin
Review routing: Human theologian
Must not be misread as teaching that any specific sinful act is categorically beyond forgiveness, which would contradict the universal gospel offer (baseline universal_scope_of_gospel doctrine); rather this names a fixed, willful rejection of the Spirit’s own testimony to Christ. A mandatory pastoral note is required to prevent despair-inducing misapplication among Hindi-speaking readers troubled by scrupulosity.
Institution of the Lord’s Supper
Hindi name: प्रभु भोज की स्थापना
Key terms: this_is_my_body, blood_of_covenant_poured_out, covenant, anti_instead_of
Review routing: Human theologian
Must avoid drift toward Hindu ritual-offering (yajna/prasad) vocabulary in which a worshipper’s gift secures a deity’s favor — the movement here runs the opposite direction, Christ giving himself to his disciples. Must also be distinguished from the baseline’s distinct corporate-church ‘body of Christ’ metaphor (Romans 12): this is Christ’s own individual body and blood given in death, inaugurating the new covenant echoing Exodus 24:8 and Isaiah 53:12.
Gethsemane: The Son’s Submission to the Father’s Will
Hindi name: गतसमनी — पिता की इच्छा के प्रति पुत्र का समर्पण
Key terms: abba, father, not_my_will_but_yours, cup_metaphorical, flesh, watch_be_alert
Review routing: Human theologian
The pairing of intimate address (अब्बा) with total submission (‘not my will but yours’) must retain both genuine anguish and costly, personal, willing obedience within loving relationship — never passive fatalistic resignation to impersonal destiny, a live collision risk with karma/fate vocabulary. This scene resolves the tension first raised at 10:40 (‘it is not mine to give’) and must be handled with matching theological care.
Resurrection as Vindication of the Suffering Servant
Hindi name: पुनरुत्थान — दुख उठानेवाले सेवक की सिद्धि
Key terms: resurrection, he_has_risen, son_of_man_must_suffer
Review routing: Human theologian
Every passion prediction pairs suffering with rising (9:31; 10:34); the resurrection at 16:6 is this pairing’s historical fulfillment. पुनरुत्थान/जी उठना must never drift toward पुनर्जन्म (reincarnation) per the baseline’s explicit, repeated prohibition — this is bodily, historical, unrepeatable vindication, not entry into a new cycle of existence.
Eschatological Judgment and the Son of Man’s Return
Hindi name: अन्तिम न्याय और मनुष्य के पुत्र का पुनरागमन
Key terms: abomination_of_desolation, son_of_man_coming_in_clouds, the_elect, gehenna, watch_be_alert
Review routing: Human theologian
Apocalyptic imagery (13:14’s abomination of desolation) is especially vulnerable to speculative, sensationalized, or date-setting misreading in any culture; must be anchored historically (Daniel 9/11/12 echo) without inviting disconnection from the passage’s pastoral aim of watchfulness. गेहेन्ना (final, non-cyclical judgment) must not be conflated with Hindu नरक, a temporary way-station within a cyclical rebirth system.
The Cost of Discipleship: Self-Denial
Hindi name: चेलेपन की कीमत — आत्म-इन्कार
Key terms: deny_self_take_up_cross, soul_life_psyche, get_behind_me_satan
Review routing: Human theologian
Self-denial must be presented as a response of allegiance to Christ’s own prior, necessary suffering (8:31), not an independent ascetic achievement performed by the disciple to earn merit or advancement — this mirrors the baseline’s crucified_with_christ guardrail from Galatians and must be handled with equal rigor to avoid a tapasya (self-mortification) reading.
High Risk Doctrines
The Kingdom of God Breaking In
Hindi name: परमेश्वर के राज्य का आना
Key terms: kingdom_of_god, mystery, parable, unclean_spirit, satan, beelzebul, the_elect, gospel_to_all_nations, house_of_prayer_den_of_robbers
Review routing: Human theologian
The perfect-tense ‘has drawn near’ (1:15) must preserve an already-and-not-yet nuance: rendering only future loses the present in-breaking emphasis foundational to this doctrine, while rendering as fully-arrived loses the still-awaited consummation. The kingdom’s cosmic-conflict dimension (Satan’s kingdom being dismantled, 3:22-27) must not be assimilated to Hindu Asura/rakshasa cosmology, which lacks the decisive, already-inaugurated defeat Mark narrates.
Faith and Discipleship amid Fear
Hindi name: भय के बीच विश्वास और चेलापन
Key terms: faith, fear_phobos, disciple, unbelief, hardened_hearts, abba, watch_be_alert
Review routing: Human theologian
भय/डर must consistently function as faith’s narrative counter-force across five pivotal scenes; softening to generic ‘worry’ or ‘unease’ loses the diagnostic faith/fear polarity structuring these passages. Discipleship (चेला) is saturated with the guru-shishya paradigm of esoteric-knowledge transmission; context must consistently show Jesus’ चेले following him into costly mission and suffering, not private liberating knowledge sought from a venerated teacher.
The Messianic Secret
Hindi name: मसीहाई भेद
Key terms: mystery, messianic_secret_silence_command, messiah, teacher_address
Review routing: Human theologian
This doctrine is primarily a narrative pattern (repeated commands to silence) rather than a single lexical term; it must be preserved as a deliberate literary-theological strategy withholding premature or misunderstood messianic disclosure before the cross, not read as mere narrative caution or false modesty. गुरुजी (address to Jesus) must be balanced by प्रभु and मसीह elsewhere so Jesus is never read as merely one guru among many competing gurus whose teaching is provisional or esoteric.
Jesus’ Authority over Sickness, Sin, and Nature
Hindi name: रोग, पाप और सृष्टि पर यीशु का अधिकार
Key terms: authority_exousia, unclean_spirit, forgiveness_of_sins, blasphemy_against_holy_spirit, clean_unclean, save_heal_sozo, lord_over_sabbath
Review routing: Human theologian
अधिकार must be kept distinct from सामर्थ्य (raw power) and from its own negative cognate usage (10:42’s exercise-authority-over/domineer), or the doctrine of Jesus’ legitimate authority is muddied by an apparent condemnation of authority itself. Jesus’ forgiveness of sins (2:5-10) must retain the force of a claimed divine prerogative, not priestly absolution or karma-debt cancellation; the clean/unclean teaching (7:14-23) directly confronts Hindu ritual-purity/caste-pollution systems and requires careful pastoral framing.
Ritual Purity Reoriented to the Heart
Hindi name: हृदय की शुद्धता — बाहरी विधि नहीं
Key terms: clean_unclean, tradition_of_elders, corban
Review routing: Human theologian
Jesus relocates the source of defilement from external ritual observance (handwashing, food laws) entirely to the internal, moral condition of the heart. Hindu ritual purity/pollution systems (śuddha/aśuddha), historically tied to caste, food-sharing restrictions, and touch-based pollution, are deeply embedded in Indian religious and social life; this teaching carries direct, potentially caste-disruptive implications and requires theologian review with pastoral framing, paralleling the baseline’s caution about commensality in the Galatians hypocrisy entry.
Jesus’ Authority over Unclean Spirits
Hindi name: अशुद्ध आत्माओं पर यीशु का अधिकार
Key terms: unclean_spirit, satan, beelzebul, authority_exousia
Review routing: Human theologian
अशुद्ध आत्मा must be sharply distinguished from पवित्र आत्मा (Holy Spirit) by context at every occurrence. India’s widespread folk belief in spirit possession (bhoot-pret) and ritual exorcism (ojha/tantric practice) requires a note that biblical exorcism is Christ’s unique, once-for-all divine authority, not one exorcistic technique among available folk remedies.
Davidic Messiahship and Christ’s Transcendent Lordship
Hindi name: दाऊदी मसीहत्व और मसीह का उत्कृष्ट प्रभुत्व
Key terms: son_of_david, david, messiah, lord
Review routing: Human theologian
Bartimaeus’s cry (10:47-48) and Jesus’ Psalm 110:1 riddle (12:35-37) together hold Davidic descent and transcendent divine lordship in tension; resolving the riddle prematurely toward mere royal lineage loses the deity-of-Christ implication, while resolving it toward pure deity loses the genuine Davidic-covenant fulfillment. Requires OT covenant background largely unfamiliar to Hindu-background readers.
Divine Election of the Elect
Hindi name: परमेश्वर का चुनाव — चुने हुए लोग
Key terms: election, the_elect, prepared_hetoimastai
Review routing: Human theologian
Extends the baseline election doctrine; God’s sovereignly chosen ones, preserved through eschatological tribulation, must never be rendered with भाग्य/नियति/किस्मत (fate/destiny/karma language) — this is personal, purposive divine choice and appointment, consistent with the baseline’s providence and election entries.
Universal Scope of the Gospel Mission
Hindi name: सुसमाचार के मिशन का सार्वभौमिक दायरा
Key terms: gospel_to_all_nations, house_of_prayer_den_of_robbers, preach_gospel_all_creation, gospel
Review routing: Human theologian
The universal (‘all nations,’ ‘all creation’) scope of the gospel’s reach must not be narrowed or qualified; this directly extends the baseline’s universal_scope_of_gospel doctrine. Mark 16:9-20 (containing 16:15) requires a mandatory editorial textual-critical note, as it is widely regarded as a later manuscript addition, per standard Hindi Bible (BSI) practice.
The Temple, Its Judgment, and New Access to God
Hindi name: मन्दिर, उसका न्याय, और परमेश्वर तक नई पहुँच
Key terms: house_of_prayer_den_of_robbers, temple_curtain_torn, cornerstone_stone_rejected
Review routing: Human theologian
The torn temple curtain (15:38) at the moment of Jesus’ death must retain its symbolic connection to opened access to God’s presence through the cross; a translator note connecting this to the Necessity of the Cross and the Ransom for Many is advisable so the symbolism is not read as a merely incidental narrative detail.
Medium Risk Doctrines
Pastoral Compassion and Shepherd-King Imagery
Hindi name: करुणा और चरवाहे-राजा की छवि
Key terms: compassion
Review routing: Native speaker review
Should retain the Greek’s visceral intensity (σπλαγχνίζομαι) rather than mere intellectual pity, and preserve the connection to OT shepherd-king imagery (Ezek 34; Ps 23) that anticipates the smitten-shepherd motif at 14:27 (citing Zech 13:7).
Sabbath Observance and Torah Authority
Hindi name: सब्त का पालन और व्यवस्था पर अधिकार
Key terms: sabbath, lord_over_sabbath, law
Review routing: Native speaker review
Requires background note distinguishing the weekly Sabbath institution from Hindu vrat (votive fast/observance) days; Jesus’ lordship claim over the Sabbath (2:28) should be read alongside, and distinguished from, the negative ‘lord it over’ usage at 10:42.
Parables and the Pattern of Hidden Revelation
Hindi name: दृष्टान्त और छिपे हुए प्रकाशन का प्रतिमान
Key terms: parable, mystery
Review routing: Native speaker review
The parable genre (दृष्टान्त) shares its Hindi root with the baseline’s distinct ‘allegory’ technical sense from Galatians; the two exegetical categories must remain distinguishable in context to avoid licensing an overly esoteric hermeneutic.
