Cross-Reference Analysis

09 Cross-Reference Analysis — Hebrews (Full Book) — English → Manipuri

Methodology Note

This analysis extends 07_semantic_analysis.md and 08_core_glossary.md and must be read alongside them. It maps every Old Testament quotation and allusion, every messianic reference, and every typological correspondence across all thirteen chapters of Hebrews, and cross-references these against the baseline Romans Language Package (translation_memory.json, bible_term_registry.json, doctrine_risk_registry.json) to establish rendering-consistency rules for material shared between the two curricula.

Citation convention: all citations are normalized as Book Chapter:Verse (e.g., “Habakkuk 2:4”, “Genesis 15:6”, “Psalm 110:1”), matching the convention already established for this Language Package. Hebrews citations use the book name “Hebrews”; cross-curriculum citations use “Romans” for the baseline curriculum and are flagged for other curricula named in 12_ai_translation_requirements.md’s tag list (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, 1–2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1–2 Thessalonians, 1–2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon) where a forward consistency obligation exists but has not yet been executed.

Translation Sensitivity column methodology: each row’s sensitivity note applies the same dual-tradition framework used throughout this Language Package — engaging Sanamahism (Sanamahi, Pakhangba, Umang Lai, Lai Haraoba, maibi/maiba) and Gaudiya Vaishnavism (Krishna-Radha devotion, Ras Lila, bhakti, avatar theology) as live, currently practiced systems, never as a superseded background.

PART A: Chapter-by-Chapter OT Quotation and Allusion Matrix

Chapter 1 — The Son Superior to Angels

Hebrews PassageThemeRelated Character(s)OT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
Hebrews 1:1-2Progressive revelation culminating in the SonProphets, the SonGeneral allusion to the OT prophetic pattern (cf. Numbers 12:6-8; Deuteronomy 18:15,18)Contrast with মৈবা/মৈবী trance-oracle speech and with prophetic figures in either living tradition; the Son’s revelation is final, not one voice among many spokespersons.
Hebrews 1:3Radiance of God’s glory; exact imprint of his natureThe SonThematic echo of Psalm 110:1 (“right hand”); no single direct OT quotationCritical — see baseline “glory” (মতিক চাউবা) entry; must not read as graded emanation (cf. avatar theology, Sanamahi elder/younger sibling deity framing already flagged in the baseline).
Hebrews 1:5aMessianic Sonship declaredThe SonPsalm 2:7 — “You are my Son, today I have begotten you”Critical — coordinate with Romans 1:4’s “declared to be the Son of God… by his resurrection”; both texts affirm the Son’s unique status but through different vocabulary (eternal begottenness vs. resurrection-declaration); requires theologian note distinguishing these, not harmonizing them into one simple gloss.
Hebrews 1:5bDavidic covenant sonshipDavid, Solomon (typological), Christ2 Samuel 7:14 — “I will be to him a father, and he will be to me a son”High — connects to the baseline’s Davidic Covenant doctrine (দাউদগী ৱারেপ্পা) and “seed of David” entry; requires OT narrative background.
Hebrews 1:6Worship due to the Son aloneAngelsDeuteronomy 32:43 (LXX) / Psalm 97:7 — “Let all God’s angels worship him”Critical — direct polemic against angel/spirit-worship; must be explicitly distinguished from ritual reverence shown to the Umang Lai during Lai Haraoba and from any devotional worship extended to lesser divine beings in Vaishnava cosmology.
Hebrews 1:7Angels as created, ministering servantsAngelsPsalm 104:4 — “He makes his angels winds, his ministers a flame of fire”High — see “angel” (তেংবাং মপুগী দূত) entry; angels are subordinate creatures, not a pantheon-class being alongside God.
Hebrews 1:8-9Deity of Christ; eternal throneThe SonPsalm 45:6-7 — “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever”Critical — direct scriptural affirmation of Christ’s deity (see baseline “god”/“son_of_god” entries); must never be softened into an honorific.
Hebrews 1:10-12Christ as eternal CreatorThe SonPsalm 102:25-27 — “You laid the foundations of the earth… you are the same, and your years will have no end”Critical — affirms Christ’s role in creation and eternality; connects to “incarnation” doctrine’s insistence on a permanent, unique assumption of humanity by one who is himself uncreated.
Hebrews 1:13Messianic enthronement at God’s right handThe SonPsalm 110:1 — “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool”Critical — the single most cross-referenced OT text in Hebrews (recurs at Hebrews 8:1; 10:12-13; 12:2); also foundational elsewhere in the NT (cf. Matthew 22:44; Acts 2:34-35, future curricula). Establish one fixed Manipuri rendering now for use at every recurrence within Hebrews.

Chapter 2 — Christ’s Humanity and Solidarity with Humanity

Hebrews PassageThemeRelated Character(s)OT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
Hebrews 2:6-8Humanity’s original dignity and dominion, fulfilled in ChristMankind/Adam (typological), ChristPsalm 8:4-6 — “What is man that you are mindful of him… you have given him dominion”High — Christ as the true, representative Man who fulfills humanity’s created purpose; must not be confused with an avatar’s temporary embodiment of divine dominion.
Hebrews 2:9Christ’s temporary humiliation “lower than angels”ChristContinuation of Psalm 8:5High — the humiliation is real and historical, once, not a recurring devotional-performance descent.
Hebrews 2:12Christ’s identification with his brothersChrist, believersPsalm 22:22 — “I will tell of your name to my brothers”High — Psalm 22 is a crucifixion psalm elsewhere quoted directly of Christ’s suffering (cf. Matthew 27:35; John 19:24, future curricula); flag for cross-curriculum consistency when those books are processed.
Hebrews 2:13aChrist’s trust in the FatherChristIsaiah 8:17 — “I will put my trust in him”Medium.
Hebrews 2:13bChrist’s family solidarity with believersChrist, believers (“children”)Isaiah 8:18 — “Behold, I and the children God has given me”High — connects directly to the baseline’s Critical “adoption” doctrine (মচা ওইনা লৌবা); Christ’s own sonship and believers’ derivative sonship must be kept distinct in translator notes.
Hebrews 2:14-15Christ’s death defeats the power of death and the devilChristAllusion to Genesis 3:15High — connects to “resurrection” and “incarnation” Critical terms; must not be read through a rebirth-cycle lens.
Hebrews 2:17Christ as merciful and faithful high priestChrist, Aaron (typological contrast)Typological background: Exodus 28-29; Leviticus 16 (Aaronic high priesthood)Critical — introduces the “high priest” (মহা যাজক) term; see full collision notes in glossary.

Chapter 3 — Christ Superior to Moses; Warning Against Unbelief

Hebrews PassageThemeRelated Character(s)OT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
Hebrews 3:2-5Christ superior to Moses (son vs. servant in the household)Moses, ChristNumbers 12:7 — “Moses was faithful in all my house”Medium — requires OT narrative background; Moses’ unique authority is not an inherited native category, though the household/servant image (য়ুম) resonates with Meitei household structure.
Hebrews 3:7-11Warning against hardened unbeliefThe wilderness generation, MosesPsalm 95:7-11, quoting/recalling Exodus 17:1-7; Numbers 14:1-35 — “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion”Critical — this quotation is repeated at Hebrews 3:15 and 4:7; must be rendered identically at every occurrence. Warning-passage severity must not be softened per the baseline’s doctrinal-preservation rules.
Hebrews 3:16-19The wilderness generation’s unbelief and exclusionWilderness generationAllusion to Numbers 14 (Kadesh-barnea)High — connects directly to “apostasy” and “unbelief” (থাজদবা) Critical/High terms.

Chapter 4 — The Promised Rest; the Living Word; the Sympathetic High Priest

Hebrews PassageThemeRelated Character(s)OT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
Hebrews 4:3-5God’s rest — from Creation to Canaan to the eschatological restGod, wilderness generationPsalm 95:11 — “They shall not enter my rest”; Genesis 2:2 — “God rested on the seventh day”Critical — see “rest” (পোৎথাবা) Critical entry; must not be re-heard as মোক্ষ-style liberation from cyclic striving.
Hebrews 4:7Repetition of the rest-warningPsalm 95:7-8 (repeated from Hebrews 3:7-8)Critical — render identically to the Hebrews 3:7-8 occurrence.
Hebrews 4:12The living, active word of GodThematic echo of Isaiah 55:11; Jeremiah 23:29; no direct quotationMedium.
Hebrews 4:15Christ’s sympathetic, sinless high priesthoodChrist, Aaronic priests (contrast)Typological contrast with Leviticus 4:3; 9:7 (priest offering for his own sin)Critical — Christ requires no sin-offering for himself, unlike every Aaronic and, by extension, every human priestly office.
Hebrews 4:16Bold access to God’s throne of graceBelieversTypological forward-link to the mercy seat, Exodus 25:17-22Critical — see “grace” (মথৌ তাদনা পীবা তেংবাং) Critical entry; must resist a bhakti-responsive কৃপা reading.

Chapter 5 — Qualifications for Priesthood; Melchizedek Introduced

Hebrews PassageThemeRelated Character(s)OT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity

Hebrews 5:5Messianic Sonship (repeated)ChristPsalm 2:7 (repeated from Hebrews 1:5)Critical — render identically to the Hebrews 1:5 occurrence.
Hebrews 5:6Christ’s eternal Melchizedekian priesthoodChrist, MelchizedekPsalm 110:4 — “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek”; background Genesis 14:18-20Critical — foundational messianic-priesthood text, recurring at Hebrews 5:10; 6:20; 7:11,17,21.
Hebrews 5:7Christ’s anguished prayerChristThematic echo of Gethsemane tradition (cf. Matthew 26:36-46, future curriculum); possible echo of Psalm 116:8Medium.

Hebrews 6:20Christ as forerunner and eternal Melchizedekian priestChristPsalm 110:4 (repeated)Critical — render identically.

Chapter 7 — The Order of Melchizedek; the Superior Priesthood

Hebrews PassageThemeRelated Character(s)OT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
Hebrews 7:1-3Melchizedek: priest-king without recorded genealogyMelchizedek, AbrahamGenesis 14:17-20Critical — Melchizedek’s priest-king combination requires careful teaching alongside (not equated with) the Pakhangba-descended Meitei ningthou tradition’s own royal-sacred status; see baseline note.
Hebrews 7:4-10Melchizedek’s priesthood superior to Levi’sMelchizedek, Abraham, Levi (typological, “in Abraham’s loins”)Genesis 14:20 (Abraham’s tithe to Melchizedek)High — establishes the argumentative basis for a non-Levitical, superior priesthood.
Hebrews 7:11,17,21Christ’s priesthood after Melchizedek’s orderChristPsalm 110:4 (repeated)Critical — render identically to all prior occurrences.
Hebrews 7:14Christ descended from Judah, not LeviChristBackground: Genesis 49:10; Numbers 1:47-49 (Levites alone eligible for priesthood)High — reinforces that Christ’s priesthood is validated by divine oath, not hereditary Levitical descent; flag for careful harmonizing note alongside the Davidic “seed of David” genealogical emphasis reused elsewhere in this curriculum.
Hebrews 7:27Christ’s one sacrifice vs. daily/yearly Levitical repetitionChrist, Levitical priestsTypological background: Leviticus 16 (annual Day of Atonement)Critical — direct anchor for the once-for-all doctrine developed fully in Hebrews 9-10.

Chapter 8 — The New Covenant Announced

Hebrews PassageThemeRelated Character(s)OT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
Hebrews 8:1-2Heavenly sanctuary vs. earthly copyChristTypological background: Exodus 25-31 (tabernacle instructions)Medium — foundational for the shadow/copy typology developed in ch. 9-10.
Hebrews 8:5The earthly tabernacle built to a heavenly patternMosesExodus 25:40 — “See that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain”Medium.
Hebrews 8:8-12The New Covenant promiseIsrael, house of JudahJeremiah 31:31-34 — “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant…”Critical — the single central OT text for the whole book’s New Covenant doctrine; repeated at Hebrews 10:16-17. Render identically at both occurrences. See Part D for cross-curriculum notes.
Hebrews 8:13Old covenant rendered obsoleteInference from Jeremiah 31 (“new” implies the first is aging/passing)High — must be taught carefully; “obsolete” describes the Mosaic sacrificial-covenant system’s role, not a wholesale rejection of the Old Testament as Scripture (cf. baseline’s Inspiration of Scripture doctrine and its sensitivity to the 1729 Puya Meithaba manuscript-burning memory).

Chapter 9 — Core Passage (see also Part A of 07_semantic_analysis.md for full verse-level treatment)

Hebrews 9:6-7Day of Atonement ritual patternAaron and successive high priestsLeviticus 16:2,14-15,34Critical — the concrete OT ritual behind the whole chapter’s argument; must be taught as the pattern Christ’s single act fulfills and ends, not merely improves.
Hebrews 9:12-13Christ’s own blood vs. animal blood and ashesChrist; typological Aaronic priestsLeviticus 16:14-15 (blood of goats/calf); Numbers 19:9,17-19 (ashes of a heifer)Critical — see “blood” (ঈ) Critical entry.

Hebrews 10:37-38The righteous shall live by faith; the peril of shrinking backHabakkuk 2:3-4 — “my righteous one shall live by faith… if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him”Critical — see Part D and Part E below: this quotation is also the anchor of Romans 1:17 and requires exact cross-curriculum rendering consistency.

Chapter 11 — The Faith of the Old Testament Saints

Hebrews PassageThemeRelated Character(s)OT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
Hebrews 11:3Creation by God’s wordGodGenesis 1:1; echo of Psalm 33:6,9Medium — establishes faith as trust in God’s own testimony, not empirical observation alone.
Hebrews 11:4Abel’s acceptable offeringAbel, CainGenesis 4:3-10Medium — first named exemplar of faith-based (not merely ritually-correct) sacrifice; relevant contrast to ritual-correctness-based offering systems in both living traditions.

Hebrews 12:16-17Esau’s forfeited birthrightEsau, Jacob, IsaacGenesis 25:29-34; 27:30-40Medium — connects to “firstborn” (প্রথম পোকপা) Critical entry; Esau’s cautionary example must not be flattened into a simple morality tale disconnected from the apostasy-warning theme.
Hebrews 12:18-21Sinai’s fearful theophany contrasted with ZionMoses, IsraelExodus 19:12-19; 20:18-21; Deuteronomy 4:11-12; 5:22-27; 9:19High — the Sinai/Zion contrast is a structural climax of the book’s Old Covenant vs. New Covenant argument, directly relevant to “access to God” doctrine.

Hebrews 13:15Sacrifice of praiseBelieversEcho of Psalm 50:14,23; Hosea 14:2Low — a deliberately metaphorical, non-literal “sacrifice,” since literal ritual sacrifice has ended; requires this clarifying note given both traditions’ living sacrificial-offering practices.
Hebrews 13:20Christ as the great Shepherd; blood of the eternal covenantChristEcho of Isaiah 63:11; Ezekiel 34:11-16; 37:24; direct restatement of Exodus 24:8’s “blood of the covenant”Critical — the book’s closing benediction restates its central atonement claim; the “blood of the covenant” phrase must match the Hebrews 9:20 rendering exactly.

PART C: Typological Correspondence Table

OT TypeHebrews FulfillmentKey PassagesTranslation/Teaching Note
Aaronic/Levitical high priesthoodChrist, the eternal High PriestHebrews 4:14-5:10; 7:1-28Christ’s priesthood requires no successor and no repeated qualifying sacrifice; contrast explicitly with any transmissible ritual office (Brahmin pujari lineage, maiba/maibi office).
Day of Atonement ritual (Leviticus 16)Christ’s once-for-all entry into heaven with his own bloodHebrews 9:6-14,24-28The annual repetition pattern is decisively ended, not merely improved upon.
Earthly tabernacleThe heavenly sanctuaryHebrews 8:1-5; 9:1-12,23-24Reject মন্দির/গর্ভগৃহ register; this is the true reality the earthly copy pointed toward.
Mercy seat (Exodus 25:17-22)Christ as the place/means of propitiationHebrews 9:5; cf. Romans 3:25Cross-reference explicitly with Romans’ use of the same Greek term (hilastērion); see Part D.
Blood of animal sacrificesThe blood of ChristHebrews 9:12-22; 10:4-10Every occurrence needs the historical, personal, once-for-all contrast note.
Passover lamb (Exodus 12)Christ’s blood averting judgmentHebrews 11:28 (explicit); implicit throughout ch. 9-10Connects blood-typology to the exodus-deliverance narrative arc.
Melchizedek, priest-king (Genesis 14; Psalm 110:4)Christ’s eternal, non-Levitical priesthoodHebrews 5:6-10; 7:1-28Validated by divine oath, not genealogy — a deliberate contrast with the Levitical system and, distinctly, with the Pakhangba-descent royal-sacred tradition.
Moses as covenant mediator (Exodus 24)Christ as mediator of a better covenantHebrews 3:1-6; 8:6; 9:15; 12:24Christ is greater as a son is greater than a servant in the same household.
Wilderness generation’s unbelief (Numbers 14; Psalm 95)Warning to believers of forfeiting God’s restHebrews 3:7-4:11The warning is historical and repeatable in principle for any generation of hearers, not fatalistic.
Abraham’s offering of Isaac (Genesis 22)Faith tested; resurrection foreshadowedHebrews 11:17-19See resurrection Critical term; typological, not a literal instance of resurrection.
Sinai theophany (Exodus 19-20)Zion / the heavenly JerusalemHebrews 12:18-24Fear-based approach superseded by grace-based access; core “access to God” doctrine.
Sin offering burned outside the camp (Leviticus 16:27)Christ’s suffering outside the gateHebrews 13:11-12Direct typological fulfillment, historically located (Jerusalem’s city wall), not a recurring ritual pattern.
Jeremiah’s New Covenant promise (Jeremiah 31:31-34)Inaugurated in Christ’s bloodHebrews 8:8-12; 10:16-17See Part D for cross-curriculum consistency.

PART D: Cross-Curriculum Parallels to Romans

Hebrews PassageRomans PassageShared Theme/TermRendering-Consistency Rule
Hebrews 10:37-38Romans 1:17Habakkuk 2:4, “the righteous shall live by faith”MUST render identically using the baseline’s fixed অচুম্বা চৎনবিরাক (righteousness) + থাজবা (faith) compound. Both are thesis-level verses in their respective books; per the baseline’s cross-document consistency rule for Romans 1:16-17, this quotation’s Manipuri form is now locked across both curricula.
Hebrews 4:16; 12:28 (throne of grace; “let us… offer to God acceptable worship”)Romans 3:24; 5:2; 11:5-6Grace as unmerited favorUse মথৌ তাদনা পীবা তেংবাং exactly; maintain the grace/bhakti-কৃপা contrast note at every occurrence in both curricula, not only where “works” is explicitly named.
Hebrews 11:8-19 (Abraham’s faith narrative)Romans 4:1-25 (esp. Romans 4:3, quoting Genesis 15:6)Abraham as the paradigm of justifying faithHebrews narrates rather than directly quotes Genesis 15:6; where curriculum teaching materials cite Genesis 15:6 in connection with Hebrews 11, the citation and its Manipuri rendering (পীথোকপা অচুম্বা চৎনবিরাক / imputed righteousness) must match Romans 4:3 exactly, per the baseline’s Critical “imputed_righteousness” entry.
Hebrews 2:14-15; 6:2; 11:35; 13:20Romans 6:4-5; 8:11ResurrectionUse সিবদগী হিংজত-লকপা identically in every instance; never পুনর্জন্ম. “Better resurrection” (Hebrews 11:35) is this exact term modified by হেন্না ফবা.
Hebrews 2:10-13; 12:5-11Romans 8:15-17Sonship, adoption, and inheritanceReuse মচা ওইনা লৌবা exactly; teach the full inheritance-rights sense explicitly in both curricula, since Meitei yumnak (clan) inheritance runs through birth lineage, not a ready cultural equivalent for either book’s argument.
Hebrews 9:15; 6:17Romans 8:28-30; 9:11Calling and electionReuse কৌখিবা and তেংবাং মপুগী খনবা exactly; both books ground calling in God’s sovereign purpose, not impersonal fate (ৱাইফম, forbidden in both).
Hebrews 10:19-22; 4:16Romans 5:1-2Access to God / peace with God through ChristUse নকশিনবা (draw near) alongside the established ইনগবা (peace) compound consistently; both books present direct, unmediated access as the fruit of justification/atonement, not devotional-service-graduated access.
Hebrews 9:27Romans 2:6-11; 14:10-12Universal, singular, personal judgmentUse ৱায়েল consistently; both books present a single appointed judgment, not karma-style accumulating cross-lifetime consequence.
Hebrews 9:5 (hilastērion, “mercy seat”)Romans 3:25 (hilastērion, “propitiation”)Same Greek term, concrete OT referent vs. abstract theological applicationHebrews names the physical mercy-seat object (তেংবাং মপুগী মীওষা কমহনবগী মফম); Romans 3:25 applies the same Greek word theologically to Christ himself. This connection must be made explicit in translator notes for both curricula; confirm the existing Romans 3:25 rendering (not separately recorded in the baseline translation_memory.json, which currently treats Romans 3:24-25 primarily through the “justification”/“imputed_righteousness” entries) is reviewed for conceptual alignment with the Hebrews 9:5 mercy-seat rendering before Phase 2 processing of either book proceeds.
Hebrews 8:8-12; 10:16-17Romans 11:27 (echo of new-covenant/forgiveness language, drawing on Isaiah 59:21 and Jeremiah-adjacent promise-vocabulary)New Covenant promiseReuse ৱারেপ্পা with the অনৌবা (new) modifier consistently; flag for the future Corinthian-curriculum consistency obligation (2 Corinthians 3:6 directly names the new covenant).
Hebrews 1:5; 5:5 (Psalm 2:7)Romans 1:4 (“declared to be the Son of God… by his resurrection”)Sonship of Christ, declared/begottenUse তেংবাং মপুগী মচানুপা identically in both books; theologian note required distinguishing Psalm 2:7’s language of eternal begottenness (as applied to the Son’s eternal relation to the Father) from Romans 1:4’s resurrection-declaration language (the Son’s status publicly vindicated in history) — these are complementary, not competing, claims and must not be flattened into one gloss.
Hebrews 13:20 (“blood of the eternal covenant,” restating Hebrews 9:20/Exodus 24:8)(No direct Romans parallel; flagged forward)Blood of the covenantFix ৱারেপ্পাগী ঈ now for consistent reuse when Matthew, Mark, Luke, and 1 Corinthians (Last Supper accounts, cf. Matthew 26:28; Mark 14:24; Luke 22:20; 1 Corinthians 11:25) are processed in this Language Package’s later curricula.

PART E: Rendering-Consistency Rules for Shared Quotations

  1. Habakkuk 2:4 (Romans 1:17; Hebrews 10:38) — the exact Manipuri wording used for this quotation in Romans 1:17 must be reused verbatim at Hebrews 10:38, with no paraphrase variance, per the baseline’s Romans 1:16-17 thesis-consistency rule extended to this cross-curriculum occurrence.
  2. Psalm 110:1 (“Sit at my right hand…”) — one fixed rendering must be established and reused identically at every occurrence within Hebrews (1:13; 8:1; 10:12-13; 12:2), and flagged now for forward consistency when Matthew, Acts, and other curricula quoting this same psalm are processed.
  3. Exodus 24:8 / “blood of the covenant” — the rendering fixed at Hebrews 9:20 (ৱারেপ্পাগী ঈ) must be reused identically at Hebrews 13:20 within this curriculum, and flagged for forward consistency with the Last Supper accounts in the Gospels and 1 Corinthians 11:25.
  4. Jeremiah 31:31-34 (New Covenant promise) — the rendering fixed at Hebrews 8:8-12 must be reused identically at Hebrews 10:16-17, and flagged for forward consistency with 2 Corinthians 3:6.
  5. Psalm 2:7 (“You are my Son, today I have begotten you”) — one fixed rendering must be reused identically at Hebrews 1:5 and 5:5, and flagged for forward consistency with Acts 13:33.
  6. Psalm 110:4 (“a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek”) — one fixed rendering must be reused identically at all five occurrences within Hebrews (5:6,10; 6:20; 7:11,17,21).
  7. Genesis 15:6 / Genesis 22 (Abraham’s faith) — no verbatim quotation obligation within Hebrews itself, but any curriculum teaching material that cites Genesis 15:6 directly in connection with Hebrews 11’s Abraham narrative must use the identical Manipuri rendering already fixed for Romans 4:3’s citation of the same verse.
  8. Isaiah 53:12 (the Servant bearing the sins of many) — the rendering of “bear sin” (পাপ পূরকপা) fixed for Hebrews 9:28 should be checked for consistency against any future direct treatment of Isaiah 53 in other curricula in this Language Package, since both describe the same substitutionary act.
