Cross-Reference Analysis

09 Cross-Reference Analysis — Ephesians (English → Mandarin)

Curriculum: Ephesians 1–6 Core passage: Ephesians 2:1–10 Destination language: Mandarin Chinese (Simplified script; CUV Shen-edition register per baseline Romans Language Package) Purpose: Full-book cross-reference matrix of every Old Testament quotation and allusion, every messianic reference and typological pattern, and every substantive parallel to the Romans curriculum already governed by the baseline Language Package — with explicit rendering-consistency rules so that shared quotations and shared doctrinal formulas translate identically across both curricula.

Citation Normalization Convention

All Scripture references in this document and all downstream Phase 2 artifacts must use the normalized format “Book Chapter:Verse” (e.g., “Ephesians 2:8”, “Genesis 15:6”, “Psalm 68:18”). This matches the baseline 12_ai_translation_requirements.md Cross-Reference Preservation Rules, which require citations to render in Mandarin Bible format (罗马书3:23) while the English-language working documents retain the “Book Chapter:Verse” form for indexing. Book-name Mandarin equivalents follow CUV convention; new book names introduced by this curriculum are:

Part 1 — OT Quotation & Allusion Matrix (Chapter by Chapter)

Chapter 1

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
Ephesians 1:3–14Covenant blessing formulaGod the Father; ChristEchoes priestly/covenant blessing patterns (Genesis 12:2–3; Numbers 6:24–26)Render 福气 (blessing) carefully; must not collapse into folk 祈福 fortune-blessing register (see baseline gospel note on 福 root).
Ephesians 1:4Election “before the foundation of the world”God; the church (corporate)Parallels Israel’s election language (Deuteronomy 7:6–8); reframed as election “in Christ” rather than by ethnic descent拣选 must retain personal, Christ-centered sense; never 天命/缘分.
Ephesians 1:20Christ’s exaltationChrist; David (implied royal-messianic background)Alludes to Psalm 110:1 (“Sit at my right hand”)Direct Messianic enthronement text; also cited Romans 8:34, Acts 2:34–35 — render 坐在…右边 consistently across curricula.
Ephesians 1:22Christ’s supremacy over all thingsChristQuotes/echoes Psalm 8:6 (“put all things under his feet”)Also applied to Christ in 1 Corinthians 15:27, Hebrews 2:8; Mandarin rendering of “under his feet” (使万有服在他的脚下) should match CUV idiom used in those NT loci for cross-document consistency.
Ephesians 1:22–23Church as Christ’s body/fullnessChrist; the churchDevelops OT temple/dwelling-place theology (1 Kings 8:10–11; Ezekiel 43:1–5, God’s glory filling the temple)充满/丰满 (fullness) must not be read through Daoist/Buddhist metaphysical fullness-emptiness dialectics; this is Christ’s relational, personal filling of a people, echoing the glory-filled temple.

Chapter 2

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
Ephesians 2:1–3Universal human deadness in sinHumanity generally (Paul’s “we/you”)Echoes Genesis 3 (the fall) and Psalm 51:5 (sinful from conception); “children of wrath by nature” confronts the OT’s own tension between human dignity (Genesis 1:26–27) and total depravity本性 (nature) directly confronts Confucian 性善论; must retain both the Genesis 1 dignity affirmed elsewhere (1:4 “in his image,” implied) and the Ephesians 2:3 verdict of inborn condemnation apart from grace.
Ephesians 2:5, 2:8Salvation by grace, not worksGod; believerStructurally parallels Genesis 15:6 (“Abraham believed… and it was credited to him as righteousness”) — the OT root of the grace/faith/not-works patternThis is the same doctrinal pattern anchoring baseline imputed_righteousness; 恩典/信心/行为 must render identically to their baseline Romans forms (see Part 3 below).
Ephesians 2:10New creation for good worksGod (Creator); believerEchoes Genesis 1–2 creation language (κτίζω/造)造 (create) must connect thematically to Genesis creation vocabulary already familiar to readers from Genesis 1:1, reinforcing “new creation,” not self-improvement.
Ephesians 2:12Gentile exclusion from “covenants of promise”Israel; GentilesDirect reference to the Abrahamic/Mosaic/Davidic covenant structure (Genesis 12:1–3; Exodus 19:5–6; 2 Samuel 7:12–16)Requires OT covenant-background teaching, paralleling the baseline’s seed_of_david/davidic_covenant note that Chinese readers typically lack this background.
Ephesians 2:13, 17Peace for those “far off” and “near”Christ; Jew and GentileQuotes Isaiah 57:19 (“peace to him who is far and to him who is near”)Direct OT quotation. 平安 (peace) here must be read as the same relational/covenantal peace as baseline peace doctrine (Ephesians 2:14–17 = Peace with God doctrine extended to interpersonal reconciliation), never the amulet-style folk 平安.
Ephesians 2:14The dividing wall abolishedChristAlludes to the Jerusalem temple’s Court of the Gentiles wall (background: 1 Kings 6; Josephus’s description of the Herodian temple, extrabiblical but historically informative)Concrete architectural image; benefits from a historical explanatory note for readers without temple-background literacy.
Ephesians 2:20Christ the cornerstoneChrist; apostles and prophets (foundation)Alludes to Psalm 118:22 (“the stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone”) and Isaiah 28:16 (“a tested stone, a precious cornerstone”)Same OT testimonia also quoted in Romans 9:33 (combined with Isaiah 8:14) and 1 Peter 2:6–7. Mandarin rendering of “cornerstone” (房角石 / 基石) must be checked against however Romans 9:33 renders the “stone” imagery in the shared translation memory, to avoid two different Mandarin images for the same OT testimonia across curricula.
Ephesians 2:19–22Church as God’s temple/dwellingGod; the churchDevelops Ezekiel 37:26–27 (“I will make my dwelling among them”) and 1 Kings 8 temple-dedication theology殿/居所 must be taught as a corporate, Spirit-indwelt people, echoing but transcending the OT physical temple; never rendered with terms shared by Buddhist/Daoist/folk temple vocabulary (庙/寺/道观), per baseline church forbidden-substitution rule.

Chapter 3

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
Ephesians 3:2–9Mystery of Christ revealed to PaulPaul; apostles and prophetsEchoes Daniel 2:28–29, 47 (“mystery” language for God’s revealed end-time plan)奥秘 must be taught as truth once hidden in the OT era (cf. 1 Peter 1:10–12, prophets searching what they did not fully understand) but now publicly disclosed — not an initiate-only secret.
Ephesians 3:6Gentiles as fellow heirsGentiles; Israel (implicit)Fulfills Genesis 12:3 (“in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed”) and Isaiah 56:6–8 (foreigners joined to the LORD)基业/后嗣 (heirs) language should track the baseline inheritance/adoption cautions about clan-inheritance vs. relational sonship.
Ephesians 3:14–19Prayer for the church’s rootedness in lovePaul; the church; ChristEchoes OT wisdom-literature prayers for rootedness and depth of understanding (cf. Proverbs 2:1–5)Devotional/prayer register; low collision risk, but 爱 (love) here should reuse the Ch.1 note distinguishing ἀγάπη from Confucian graded love.

Chapter 4

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
Ephesians 4:4–6Sevenfold unity formulaGod (Father, Son, Spirit)Echoes the Shema’s monotheistic unity claim (Deuteronomy 6:4, “the LORD is one”) extended to a Trinitarian unity-in-diversity formulaCare must be taken that “one God and Father of all” does not flatten into a generic folk-monotheistic “Heaven” (天) reading; reuse baseline god Critical caution.
Ephesians 4:8Ascended Christ gives giftsChristDirect quotation of Psalm 68:18 (“When he ascended on high he led a host of captives and gave gifts to men”)Formal OT citation; Mandarin rendering should follow CUV Psalm 68:18 wording exactly where the same clause is reused, so the Ephesians 4:8 quotation and its Psalm source are visibly the same text in Mandarin.
Ephesians 4:11Fivefold ministry giftsApostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachersDevelops OT prophetic office background (cf. baseline prophet) into the NT ministry structure先知/使徒 reuse baseline exactly; new offices (教师, 传福音的, 牧师) are new terms requiring theologian ratification per 08_core_glossary.md.
Ephesians 4:24Putting on the new self “created after the likeness of God”Believer; Adam (typological contrast)Directly echoes Genesis 1:26–27 (humanity made in God’s image/likeness)新人 “created… after God’s likeness” must connect back to Genesis 1:26–27 image-of-God theology, distinguishing renewal-of-the-imago-Dei from Neo-Confucian sage-cultivation (成圣, per baseline Critical note).
Ephesians 4:25Truthful speech among neighborsBelieverDirect quotation of Zechariah 8:16 (“Speak the truth to one another”)Formal OT citation; low collision, standard ethical instruction.
Ephesians 4:26Righteous anger without sinBelieverDirect quotation of Psalm 4:4 (“Be angry, and do not sin”)Formal OT citation; low collision.

Chapter 5

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
Ephesians 5:2Christ’s self-offering as fragrant sacrificeChristEchoes OT sacrificial “pleasing aroma” language (Leviticus 1:9, 13, 17; Genesis 8:21)供物和祭物 must be distinguished from Chinese ancestor/deity food-and-incense offerings (祭祖供品, 拜神的祭品), per 07_semantic_analysis.md Chapter 5 note.
Ephesians 5:5Covetousness as idolatryBelieverEchoes the Decalogue’s prohibition of covetousness and idolatry together (Exodus 20:3–4, 17)拜偶像的 is a Critical-risk term with direct collision against common family religious practice; requires pastoral-sensitivity framing per 07_semantic_analysis.md/08_core_glossary.md.
Ephesians 5:14”Awake, O sleeper… Christ will shine on you”Believer (addressed)Echoes/adapts Isaiah 60:1 (“Arise, shine, for your light has come”) and Isaiah 26:19 (resurrection-awakening imagery)Likely an early Christian hymn fragment built on Isaiah’s light/awakening motifs; teach as prophetic-echo poetry, not a verbatim OT citation.
Ephesians 5:18Filled with the Spirit, not wineBelieverContrasts with OT wisdom-literature warnings against drunkenness (Proverbs 20:1, 23:20–21)被圣灵充满 must not be confused with ecstatic possession (被神明附身); reuse 07_semantic_analysis.md Ch.5 caution.
Ephesians 5:31”One flesh” marriage unionAdam and Eve (typological); Christ and the church (antitype)Direct quotation of Genesis 2:24 (“a man shall leave his father and mother… and the two shall become one flesh”)Foundational marriage-institution text; Mandarin rendering should match CUV Genesis 2:24 wording exactly, since Ephesians 5:31 explicitly reuses it.
Ephesians 5:32Marriage as a “great mystery” of Christ and the churchChrist; the churchDevelops OT prophetic marriage-covenant imagery (Hosea 1–3; Isaiah 62:5; Ezekiel 16) portraying God/Israel as husband/wife奥秘 (great mystery) here draws on OT prophetic marriage typology; must be distinguished from Daoist yin-yang cosmic-marriage symbolism (陰陽和合), per 07_semantic_analysis.md.

Chapter 6

PassageThemeRelated CharacterOT/NT ConnectionTranslation Sensitivity
Ephesians 6:2–3Honor father and motherChildren; parentsDirect quotation of Exodus 20:12 / Deuteronomy 5:16 (“Honor your father and mother, that it may go well with you”)Formal Decalogue citation; positive cultural resonance with 孝, but “in the Lord” (6:1) reframes the motivation as Christ-centered rather than autonomous filial duty; distinguish from ancestor veneration (祭祖), per 07_semantic_analysis.md.
Ephesians 6:4Fathers raising children “in the discipline and instruction of the Lord”Fathers; childrenEchoes Deuteronomy 6:6–7 (parents teaching children God’s words) and Proverbs’ father-son instructional pattern (Proverbs 1:8, 4:1)主的教养 should be taught as relationally warm, Christ-modeled instruction, contrasted with purely authoritarian, anger-provoking parenting.
Ephesians 6:9Masters warned: no partiality with GodMasters; GodEchoes Leviticus 19:15 and Deuteronomy 10:17 (God shows no partiality)偏待人 (partiality) directly echoes Mosaic case-law ethics; note productive tension with guanxi-based favoritism (关系) in contemporary Chinese social practice.
Ephesians 6:11–17Whole armor of GodBeliever; the devil (opponent)Draws extensively on Isaiah’s Divine Warrior imagery: Isaiah 11:5 (righteousness as belt/sash), Isaiah 59:17 (breastplate of righteousness, helmet of salvation), Isaiah 52:7 (feet bringing good news/peace)Each armor-piece term reuses an existing baseline Critical/High term (truth, 义/righteousness, 平安/peace, 信心/faith, 救恩/salvation) in metaphorical form; the underlying term’s established risk tier and forbidden-substitution rules must be retained inside the metaphor, not relaxed because it appears in an armor list.
Ephesians 6:12Struggle against spiritual powers, not flesh and bloodBeliever; rulers, authorities, cosmic powers, spiritual forces of evilDevelops the OT background of hostile spiritual/national powers opposing God’s people (Daniel 10:12–13, 20–21, the “prince of Persia”/“prince of Greece”)执政的、掌权的…管辖这黑暗世界的 must be taught as real, personal, illegitimate, and ultimately defeated powers under Christ’s supremacy (cf. Ephesians 1:21) — never conflated with the legitimate-seeming Chinese folk-pantheon administrative hierarchy (城隍, 土地公, 玉皇大帝).

Part 2 — Messianic References & Typology Matrix

Ephesians PassageType / Messianic ThemeOT Type or ProphecyNT Antitype / FulfillmentTranslation Sensitivity
Ephesians 1:20–22Messianic enthronementPsalm 110:1 (Davidic king at God’s right hand); Psalm 8:6 (dominion over creation)Christ exalted above all rule and authorityReuse baseline lord/son_of_god Critical cautions: this is co-equal divine enthronement, not an elevated-ruler status analogous to the Mandate-of-Heaven-legitimated Chinese emperor.
Ephesians 2:14–18Christ as peace-bringerIsaiah 9:6–7 (“Prince of Peace”); Isaiah 57:19Christ himself “is our peace,” abolishing hostility between Jew/Gentile and GodReuse baseline peace Medium caution; here intensified to Ephesians’s own High-risk “Peace with God” doctrine extended relationally.
Ephesians 2:20–22Christ as cornerstone; church as templePsalm 118:22; Isaiah 28:16; Ezekiel 37:26–27 (temple/dwelling)Christ the foundation-stone; the church as the eschatological temple, God’s Spirit-indwelt dwellingNever render “temple” with 庙/寺/道观 per baseline church rule; the antitype is a people, not a building.
Ephesians 4:8Ascended, gift-giving MessiahPsalm 68:18 (victorious king ascending, receiving/distributing gifts)Christ’s ascension and distribution of ministry gifts to the churchDirect citation; render consistently with any future Psalm 68 rendering elsewhere in the curriculum library.
Ephesians 2:15; 4:22–24Second-Adam / New Humanity typologyGenesis 1:26–27 (Adam made in God’s image); Genesis 3 (Adam’s fall, corrupting the whole race)Christ creates “one new man” (2:15) and believers “put on the new self, created after the likeness of God” (4:24) — the positive counterpart to Romans 5:12–21’s Adam/Christ typology新人 requires the Adam-typology background explained: the “old self” is humanity in Adam; the “new self”/“new man” is humanity remade in Christ, the second Adam. Cross-reference Romans 5:12–21 explicitly in teaching notes.
Ephesians 5:23–32Christ as BridegroomHosea 1–3; Isaiah 54:5, 62:5; Ezekiel 16 (the LORD as Israel’s husband)Christ as the church’s self-sacrificing husband, of whom human marriage (Genesis 2:24) is a “great mystery”-typology奥秘 (mystery) here names a type fulfilled, not an abstract cosmic principle; distinguish from yin-yang cosmological symbolism.
Ephesians 6:10–17Divine WarriorExodus 15:3 (the LORD is a warrior); Isaiah 59:17 (the LORD arms himself with righteousness and salvation); Genesis 3:15 (protoevangelium — enmity between the serpent’s and the woman’s offspring)Christ has already decisively defeated the “rulers and authorities” (implied by Ephesians 1:20–22; cf. Colossians 2:15) and now arms the church with his own armor for the ongoing (already-secured-outcome) conflict神所赐的全副军装 must be taught as participation in Christ’s already-won victory, not a martial-arts-style power a disciple must cultivate to achieve victory (cf. 武功修炼 caution in 08_core_glossary.md).

Part 3 — Cross-Curriculum Parallels: Ephesians ↔ Romans

The following table identifies every substantive doctrinal or textual parallel between Ephesians and the baseline Romans curriculum. Per the baseline 12_ai_translation_requirements.md “Theological Consistency Rules Across Documents,” the same Mandarin term must be used for the same Greek/English theological term across all documents — this table operationalizes that rule for the Ephesians curriculum specifically.

Ephesians PassageRomans ParallelShared DoctrineRendering-Consistency Requirement
Ephesians 2:5, 8 (“by grace you have been saved… through faith… not of works”)Romans 3:24, 4:4–5, 11:5–6Salvation by Grace through Faith恩典/信心/行为/救恩 must render identically. This is the same doctrinal battle line as baseline grace (功德 forbidden). Ephesians 2:8–9 and Romans 4:4–5/11:6 must be teachable as a single, unified grace-works antithesis across both curricula.
Ephesians 2:9 (“not a result of works, so that no one may boast”)Romans 3:27–28, 4:2Salvation by Grace through Faith自夸 (boast) and 行为 (works) render identically; note the shared 面子 (face) cultural-resonance flag already present in the baseline Romans AI instructions.
Ephesians 1:4–5, 11; 3:11Romans 8:28–30; 9:11–13; 11:5, 29Election and Predestination in Christ拣选 (election) reuses baseline exactly. 预定 (predestined) is new to Ephesians but must observe the identical forbidden-substitution list as baseline election/calling (天命, 命运, 缘分 all forbidden for both terms across both curricula).
Ephesians 1:22–23; 4:4, 12, 16; 5:23, 30Romans 12:4–5The Church as the Body of Christ身体 (body) renders identically. The baseline Romans AI instructions already flag “body metaphors” for native-speaker review (Romans 12) — this flag extends to all Ephesians body-of-Christ passages.
Ephesians 2:11–22Romans 3:29–30; 9:1–11:36 (esp. 11:17–24 olive tree); 15:7–12Unity of Jews and Gentiles外邦人 renders identically; “no distinction” language must retain full universality in both curricula per baseline universal_scope_of_gospel/unity_of_jews_and_gentiles High-risk rules. Ephesians 2:14’s “one new man” is a stronger claim than Romans 11’s olive-tree grafting image (a genuinely new corporate identity, not merely a Gentile branch grafted into an existing Israel-tree) — teaching notes should distinguish, not merge, these two images even though the underlying unity doctrine is one.
Ephesians 4:22–24Romans 6:1–11Christian Identity in Christ / Walking in Newness of Life旧人/新人 (old self/new self) parallel Romans 6’s “dead to sin, alive to God” logic; both must be taught as a decisive, once-for-all break, not incremental improvement.
Ephesians 4:7–13Romans 12:6–8Gifts for Building Up the Church属灵恩赐 renders identically; both lists (Ephesians’s fivefold offices vs. Romans’s functional gifts) are complementary, not competing, enumerations and should be taught as such.
Ephesians 5:21–6:9Romans 13:1–7Household Codes and Christ-Centered Relationships / Civic Submission顺服 (submit) is used in both curricula but with different referents (spouses/children/slaves in Ephesians; civil government in Romans). The Mandarin term is shared, but teaching notes must keep the referents distinct: Romans 13’s submission to governing authority is not a household-code text, and Ephesians 5:21’s mutual submission frame has no equivalent “mutual” element in Romans 13. Do not cross-apply Ephesians 5:21’s mutuality principle to flatten Romans 13’s civic-authority instruction, or vice versa.
Ephesians 6:11–17Romans 13:12 (“put on the armor of light”)Spiritual Warfare and the Armor of GodRomans 13:12 uses the same “put on armor” (ἐνδύσασθε τὰ ὅπλα) construction found in Ephesians 6:11, 14. Mandarin should render the “put on” verb (穿上) consistently between the two texts even though Ephesians develops a much fuller armor-list; flag for native-speaker review to confirm natural Mandarin phrasing holds across both shorter and longer armor images.
Ephesians 1:16; 5:4, 20Romans 1:8, 1:21; 7:25; 14:6Thanksgiving感恩 renders identically; Low risk in both curricula.
Ephesians 1:13–14Romans 8:16, 23Assurance of SalvationThe Spirit as “seal” (印记) and “guarantee” (凭据) in Ephesians parallels the Spirit’s “testifying”/“firstfruits” role in Romans 8; both ground assurance in the Spirit’s present, personal work, not a fluctuating merit-ledger.
Ephesians 6:2–3Romans 13:9 (partial Decalogue citation: “You shall not murder… not commit adultery… not steal… not covet”)Shared Decalogue source, different commandmentsNo direct overlap in commandment content, but note for consistency: Romans 13:9’s Decalogue citations and Ephesians 6:2–3’s citation of the fifth commandment should both be checked against a single, consistent Mandarin rendering of Exodus 20/Deuteronomy 5 wherever any Decalogue commandment is quoted across the growing curriculum library.
Ephesians 2:8 (“by grace… through faith”) structural echoRomans 1:16–17 (“the righteousness of God… by faith”)Curriculum thesis-statement consistencyPer baseline requirement, Romans 1:16–17 has a single fixed Mandarin rendering used everywhere it is cited. Ephesians 2:8 is a structurally parallel (not identical) formula and must NOT simply reuse the Romans 1:16–17 fixed rendering verbatim — but the three core terms it shares (恩典, 信心, 救) must each individually match their Romans 1:16–17 renderings term-for-term.

Part 4 — Rendering-Consistency Rules for Shared Quotations

The following OT texts are directly quoted or clearly echoed in Ephesians and are independently significant enough that their Mandarin rendering must be fixed once and reused wherever they recur in this or any future curriculum in the shared translation memory:

  1. Genesis 2:24 (Ephesians 5:31) — “leave father and mother… one flesh.” Fix a single CUV-consistent Mandarin rendering; this text will recur in any future marriage-themed curriculum (e.g., 1 Corinthians 7, Matthew 19).
  2. Exodus 20:12 / Deuteronomy 5:16 (Ephesians 6:2–3) — “Honor your father and mother.” Fix a single rendering; this Decalogue commandment will recur in any Gospel or Decalogue-focused curriculum.
  3. Psalm 118:22 / Isaiah 28:16 (Ephesians 2:20, echoed) — “the stone… cornerstone.” Must be checked against Romans 9:33’s rendering of the same testimonia complex (combined there with Isaiah 8:14) to avoid two competing Mandarin “stone” images for what is theologically one OT testimony-tradition about Christ.
  4. Psalm 68:18 (Ephesians 4:8) — “ascended… gave gifts.” Fix rendering for reuse in any Ascension-themed curriculum (e.g., Acts 1, Luke 24).
  5. Isaiah 57:19 (Ephesians 2:17) — “peace to him who is far and near.” Fix rendering; thematically linked to Isaiah 9:6’s “Prince of Peace” (Christmas/Advent curricula) and to the baseline peace doctrine.
  6. Psalm 8:6 / Psalm 110:1 (Ephesians 1:20, 22) — enthronement/dominion texts also quoted in Romans 8:34 and 1 Corinthians 15:25–27. Fix a single rendering of “at his right hand” and “under his feet” for reuse across all three curricula.

Any translator encountering one of these six texts in a future curriculum must first check the shared translation memory for the fixed Ephesians-curriculum rendering before proposing a new one, per the baseline’s Translation Memory Load and Enforcement Instructions.

Part 5 — Chapter Coverage Confirmation

All six chapters of Ephesians have been reviewed for OT quotations, allusions, messianic references, typology, and Romans-curriculum parallels:

  • Chapter 1 — reviewed: covenant-blessing formula, election language, Psalm 8:6/110:1 enthronement citations, temple-fullness typology. No chapter content silently omitted.
  • Chapter 2 — reviewed in full (core passage 2:1–10 plus 2:11–22): Genesis 15:6 grace-faith pattern, Isaiah 57:19 direct citation, Psalm 118:22/Isaiah 28:16 cornerstone testimonia, Ezekiel 37 temple-dwelling typology.
  • Chapter 3 — reviewed: Daniel 2 mystery-revelation background, Genesis 12:3/Isaiah 56 Gentile-inclusion fulfillment.
  • Chapter 4 — reviewed: Deuteronomy 6:4 unity background, Psalm 68:18 direct citation, Genesis 1:26–27 image-of-God echo, Zechariah 8:16 and Psalm 4:4 direct citations.
  • Chapter 5 — reviewed: Leviticus/Genesis sacrificial-aroma background, Decalogue covetousness/idolatry background, Isaiah 60:1/26:19 awakening echo, Genesis 2:24 direct citation, Hosea/Isaiah/Ezekiel marriage-covenant typology.
  • Chapter 6 — reviewed: Exodus 20:12/Deuteronomy 5:16 direct citation, Leviticus 19:15/Deuteronomy 10:17 impartiality background, Isaiah 11:5/59:17/52:7 Divine Warrior armor imagery, Daniel 10 hostile-powers background.

No chapter contributes zero new cross-reference material; every chapter is documented above with either new OT/typological connections or explicit reuse of previously catalogued ones.
