Core Glossary: Micah (Full Book)
This glossary consolidates every load-bearing theological term identified in 07_semantic_analysis.md across Micah 1-7. Terms marked REUSED carry forward the exact rendering already fixed in the baseline Romans translation_memory.json / bible_term_registry.json and must not be altered. Terms marked NEW are introduced for this curriculum and must be added to the project’s translation memory before Phase 2 begins, following the same version-increment procedure described in 12_ai_translation_requirements.md.

Must be kept sharply distinct from ন্যায়বিচার (mishpat/justice, a new High-risk term below): mishpat is doing right by others in society; ধার্মিকতা is being declared/standing right before God. Collapsing the two blurs the core passage’s (6:8) central argument.

A governing figure exercising legitimate authority, to come out of Bethlehem to rule in Israel (Micah 5:2) — the very verse Herod’s scribes cite in Matthew 2:6 as pointing to the Messiah’s birthplace. No better lexical option exists (a manufactured neologism would be more opaque). Mandatory teaching-note cross-reference to Matthew 2:6 and to the baseline’s Critical messiah (খ্রীষ্ট) and lordship_of_christ (প্রভু) entries required at every occurrence, so a purely secular-political reading is never allowed to stand alone.

NEW TERM — single highest-stakes phrase in the book. ‘From the days of eternity / from ancient times’ (Micah 5:2), read by later Christian doctrine as the coming Ruler’s eternal, personal pre-existence. অনাদি is also a load-bearing term in Hindu Vedantic philosophy for Brahman’s impersonal, beginningless eternity. No coinage avoids the collision (any ‘beginningless’ vocabulary in Bengali draws on the same philosophical register). MANDATORY: (1) translator note at every occurrence clarifying personal, unique eternal pre-existence, not an impersonal First Principle; (2) human theologian sign-off required before finalization in any lesson material; (3) cross-link to baseline incarnation entry (দেহধারণ).
